Sponsored by University Housing, UGA Hillel and Goodwill of North Georgia (GNG), the 2016 event will be held across campus April 30 through May 13 for housing residents to recycle unwanted clothing, books and other household items instead of throwing them away. These donations will help local Goodwill stores provide job training in the region.

All residence hall contracts begin on August 7. For a smoother check in experience and to alleviate traffic congestion, elevator lines and wait times, resident arrival times will be staggered this year. Specific arrival time information will be communicated to residents via email. Check back here for the latest updates regarding arrival times and move in procedures. Residents not required to be on campus for activities on August 7 are strongly encouraged, but not required, to arrive on August 8. All residents should arrive by 9 a.m. on August 11.

Residence halls will be unavailable for tours during the month of May due to final exams, commencement and facilities maintenance. Tours of showrooms and common spaces will resume in 14 of our 22 halls during the months of June and July for orientation participants and the public.

Dawgs Ditch the Dumpster and Donate
April 30 - May 13. With the help of Goodwill of North Georgia, University Housing collects donations from almost every area of campus and donates them to local and regional organizations. Last year, more than 57,000 pounds of material was collected and diverted from landfills—look for tents and trailers near the residence halls to participate.
