1. Change the color scheme in an individual region of your Drupal 8 theme, in a couple of clicks

Say that you have chosen our Showcase+ theme, to build a brand new Drupal 8 site on.

You have chosen one of the built-in color schemes (flavors) from the theme settings, and you’re starting out with using some of your other corporate branding elements, such as your logo.

You’re entering your own logo replacing the default in the demo. Your logo happens to be dark and doesn’t look too nice in that blue background, not to mention that the contrast is problematic to say the least.

What do you do? Do you need to start messing with CSS?

    Nope.

  3. New version of Level+ for Drupal 8 now out — free for existing users

In a nutshell: the field_collection based implementation has changed to a paragraphs-based

For the initial implementation and commercial release of Level+ for Drupal 8 we used the module Field Collection to implement the highlight, special feature, and standard feature fields of the Product and Service content types.

At that time, it was not yet clear whether one should be using the Field collection or the Paragraphs module on Drupal 8. Time has shown, however, that the Paragraphs module is the way to go.

The major issue that popped up with Field collection is that it does not support translations, at least yet. This is why we have decided to change our initial implementation to be based on the Paragraphs module.

All future releases of Level+ for D8 will be using the paragraphs module. It is recommended that you proceed with the update to ensure compatibility. If you do not wish to perform this update just make sure that you keep the field_collection module updated.

  5. Meet Showcase+, a brand new Drupal 8 theme with a gorgeous semi-flat design and a ton of features

It’s been a few years now that flat design took the world by storm — until the world started realizing its usability drawbacks and limitations. Great though it may look, all flat design lacks important signifiers of interactivity deteriorating the user’s experience. And that’s just one thing. And everyone started noticing those issues. And everyone started discussing them.

So, would this mean that we would have to go back to skeuomorphism with all the gloss and patterns and textures?

    Nah.

Still, something better than all-flat looks was needed, something to add depth to the User Interface.

During these same years we got a brand new tool or, better, toolset, which enables us to achieve visually great results, in code, while keeping everything lightweight: “CSS3", with all the greatness it brings.

So, fast forward a couple of years (and flat design disappointments), and mixing necessity with possibility for something better than all-flat looks, we now have “semi-flat”, or “flat 2.0” design.

    Meet Showcase+

Showcase+ combines the minimalism and flatness inspired by Scandinavian design, with wonderful CSS3-powered user interface touches. And it takes customization options to a whole new step with its 100+ theme settings.

  6. Change colors and looks of your Drupal 8 theme, in a couple of clicks — and even less minutes

It doesn’t take being a web developer to customize the looks of your Drupal 8 theme according to your needs.

Our Premium Drupal 8 themes are, well, more than just themes (hence our name). They are theme distributions, with demo content, working menus, Views pages and blocks and much more. One of the important assets they come with are the theme settings.

Here’s how to completely change the color and looks of your Drupal 8 site, using as an example, our Enterprise+ product. Everything presented below is applicable to the rest of our Drupal 8 themes, as well.

    • A Drupal 8 theme,
    • a powerful Drupal 8 distribution with Content Types, working Menus, Views and Slideshows offering a quick-start for building a site for presenting a company, products, services, client stories and team members,
    • a well-designed Drupal 8 user interface style guide with tons of reusable blocks and front-end elements and components, built upon the awesomeness of Bootstrap 3 and following some of the most widely discussed methodologies for scalable and modular architecture CSS.
