I LOVE Google Play Music. Love it. That said a few changes would make it better. The first would be too create/save queue with podcasts like one can with music. Second would be to integrate lyrics with songs/videos. I can find lyrics online in browser for Google Play lyrics but not in the app. Kinda frustrating. It would also be nice to have the videos integrated into the app better. Even be able to just create video playlists in the app without the need to go to YouTube. Though the YouTube Red addition to the subscription is pretty bitchin. Thanks for an awesome app just the same!

Overall it needs more user customization, and better suggestions that I'd actually want to watch. There's something about the app's functionality that is sort of a turn off. I can't really put my finger on it. In a way it reminds me how websites were often not user friendly in the late 90s/early 2000s. Netflix has done one of the best job about displaying titles in a way that's very appealing to me. They are always very user friendly and EASY to navigate, but still in stylish, classy way.

The streaming quality is really amazing. The music library is great. I can find almost every song that I want to listen to. The major issue with the service is the suggested content. It really sucks. No matter how many times you customize your music preferences, it will only show you the regional content and whatever its AI wants you to listen to. Comparing it to Spotify, I would suggest to use Play Music when you really know what you want to listen to, because the radio and auto playlists suck when compared to it. I do find the quality of streaming better on Play Music.

When I view an album, I would like to see what playlists I've added it to. Sometimes when viewing an album, the 'Share' option is not available. The UI is very difficult to learn, everyone on my family plan has given me that feedback. Often times there is music I like but the a new album doesn't appear on the new releases. This seems like new releases are more of an advertisement than artists relevant to my interests. Thank for all your hard work, I'm interested in what I hear may be happening to the service later this year as some have suggested it will merge with YouTube.

Great app, responsive. Would be great to be able to filter your Library differently though. Playlists by 1) Purchased/Free, 2) All Access Library but not Purchased, 3) Own Music Uploaded/sideloaded, 4) mixture of these 3 as required. The recent update to allow selection of 'downloaded' only still includes music on your device....almost there, Google! Would be good to launch/'add to library' straight from Google Play instead of manually searching in Google Music.

Long time Play Music subscriber strongly considering leaving. The Android Auto app is so bare bones that it isn't even funny. The contextually aware playlist suggestions , genre, activity, mood stations aren't available within the Android Auto version of the app. It's so bare bones that you wind up listening to the same music over and over again. Play Music offers great curated playlists. Please make them accessible to me in Android Auto and I'll be super happy and content. Thank you for your consideration!

Honestly has more music than Spotify and is better then it. One issue and its not a big one to me because honestly you can get 3 months versus 1 month free. The issue is the interface its old I'd recommend a revise otherwise 100% better than Spotify especially for people who listen to good music not this garbage today. That is all.

It's usefull... for me because it does not waste my storage.... but you have to fix the background theme.... and why can't you guyz give permission by permanently alowing us to store the songs..... also the player is very old fasioned.... so why can't you add some animation like walkman and the wynk music.... so that it would be interesting for the user to use...also you can add sleeping timer for the app.... it would be great... anyway I appreciate your work guys... keep it up 😊😊😊😊

It's pretty good but it loses my downloads all the time. This means a large portion of my monthly data allowance is used to constantly download the same songs when they should not have disappeared in the first place. This has been ongoing so long now that I believe they must have an arrangement with the phone company to make people have to buy more data than they should need to.

I think this app has a bug. I used the file manager app of Moto to play my .flac and .mp3 files and it prompted me to use this app. After playing some music, I closed the app perfectly. It didn't even lasted 5 minutes of play time. Since then, my volume controls are on music by default and my battery drained fast even without me using the phone (i had it on sleep mode). Did you really had bugs fixed last update?

Trying to switch from Apple to Android and one thing Apple does well is music. Being able to ask Siri to play some upbeat music then it creates a station tailored to what you listen to and like. Unlike just finding a random playlist like Google does. So far I find Google Play Music is not good for finding new music just listening to what you have and with a much smaller library to access then Apple makes that hard also.

Music app is good. However I would like to request one very important feature which should be made available.... Selecting many number of songs by just ONE TAP, to be added to the playlist. For example(Like how we select photos and others to be moved to another folder) Currently we have to select each song seperately, which is very exhausting. Another feature would be to provide a theme for the app. Like dark themes

I've had a love/hate relationship with this app for many years. However, after trying out the streaming service, I think I'm starting to love this app again. It's still visually appealing. Great sound sound quality through streaming. The ability to also integrate the music that's on my PC with my phone is a plus. So... Yeah... Darn you Google Play Music. I'm falling in love with you again.

No dark/black theme, white always glaring me in the face, especially at night. No easy way to add music you like to library without navigating through menus. No crossfading between tracks. Uses a lot more data than Spotify, so you'll burn through your plan in days, what takes Spotify weeks. And I'm not a fan of the thumbs up on the left. Make it like Spotify with thumbs up on the right/thumbs down on the left. Don't change things just to be different. Now even three stars is a stretch.

User interface isn't as good as Spotify, but you can get used to it as you use it. Would be nice to sort playlist songs by date added so that I do not have to scroll all to the bottom to listen to the song I just added. Also it'd be cool to add the featured artists in the song title so that I can look up those artists to while I am on the app.

Really enjoying the application and service. Only thing that could make it better for me would be the option to turn on volume levelling. Trying to fall asleep to even classical music that has been mastered at different volumes isn't cool. Having recently gone through the forums, people have been requesting this feature for some time to no avail. Spotify is now available in my country and the free version has volume normalisation. Have cancelled my subscription with you.

The whole Google Play Music environment needs more robust and reliable syncing and better handling of metadata. This app needs clear differentiation between uploads, purchases and subscription music in My Library, and filtering for searches. There have been many quirks with casting. Most get fixed eventually but it would be better if they didn’t keep appearing.

HELP PLEASE! Every month when my payment is charged to my carrier bill it gets declined and I am asked to switch my payment method. I do not want to change my payment method. I have spoken to Tmobile several times and they have no problems on their end. I have an $80 app charge per month with them I am am no where even close to going over the cap. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app as per tech support from my carrier and to no avail. I would like to continue using Google play music. Please fix this issue. Thank you.

1. Please include the option to add lyrics to the song, so that lyrics show up on screen when song plays. 2. make the sleep timer more accessible than being hidden in settings. Besides that, this app is amazing ! I loved the experience. Please make these changes and I'll update my rating to 5

You can't add new songs in the old playlist. Many music player has the option to add multiple songs in a playlist, Google music player doesn't give you that option. And in terms of searching songs, there is no search help. There are lot of bugs too. I know Google is busy with a lot of fancy stuff, but is the simple basic stuff that ruins your company image the most

The has great playlists, better music than any other app ever used. Always great to open the app and listen to random music as it gives exactly what you wanna hear. The major disadvantage is it has lot of bugs, in everything. Music stops playing after sometime, Volume control switches to media volume in my Moto and need to boot to use normally, etc.

App it self functions well. Love the monthly service. Issues come in with using over Bluetooth. When starting podcast or music will sometimes play a few seconds then restarts. Will do this 3~5x before finally playing. Will forget spot left of on podcast. Thought it might have been a vehicle issue but happens with wife's phone on her car too.

Probably the ugliest user-interface of all the big streaming devices. The album is zoomed in blocking out most of the album art and there are wide white borders on the top and bottom blocking out more of the album art. Otherwise, this is pretty easy to use and you also get YouTube Red if you are a subscriber.

I only use this to play music on sd card. But with recent update while music is playing (player on center of screen) and i try to drag down screen from top to adjust volume slider, player auto closes. This didnt happen with previous version. Fix this or just add volume slider in-app?

I have been using and paying for this app for years now and do enjoy its content. However, I keep accidentally removing songs by swiping right or left. This is a useless and frustrating feature because I can't always see what has been removed and the undo button quickly disappears.

This is the only app where you can use all 5 of your daily skips, watch 15 advertisements, and restart the app 5 separate times before even listening to a single song. It's also a battery drain now, causing overheating issues on the brand new Pixel 2 XL unmodified.

Google play should add option for viewing embedded id3 tag lyrics. And NOW PLAYING screen zooming the cover art, usually cover arts are small in resolution, so it blurs the cover art.it looks blurry and messy. if these are sorted out , I will give 5 stars.

Was liking this app until they got greedy for payment. I ran out of funds, but was going to pay next payday. Come payday I find out from my bank that Google Music tried over five times to withdrawal payment. Causing my bank account to be suspended. If the money is not there it is not there. Maybe offer the ability to schedule payments and this wouldn't happen. Unsubscribing and switching to Spotify.

This was my go-to music app for years, but recently it has stopped working altogether. When I try to play music it just skips every single song instantly, and I can't make it stop skipping through all of my music unless I force stop it, as the pause button no longer works.

This app is fine, but it could definitely do without the limit of 1000 songs in one playlist. It really isn't my fault that I like a lot of artists and have heaps of the songs, and I don't wanna move to my phone's awful default music player because of it.

App is OK, but it's ui sucks, whenever I'm about to tap on options of songs it just scrolls down. It's quite frustrating and to create a Playlist u have to manually go in every songs option and then select to add to Playlist,its not like u can select all songs at once and then add them. There is no dark theme, so it's just annoying in the dark with white background. The only thing I like about this app is there is a sleep timer.

This app is slewed to selling music. It started playing a song over and over again. Has to be manually advanced to the next. There's no intuitive fix. Just UNSAT. Never had a player on any device do this. All I want is to play a list or an album through. If that's too difficult for Google I'l find another player. Stupid!

EDIT; no longer allows my headphones to raise my volume..plz fix this a😔😡Good... Don't like how it randomly stops playing my music for no reason. It's not all the time but it's about 3-5 times per day and it's getting irritating..I love the downloaded only features of this app and how's it automatically organized your music but this glitch/bug/whatever it is! Is becoming a deal breaker for me.. :( I would also like to be able to fast forward (scrub) my currently playing song from my notification menu and especially love screen..

Horrible UI, horrible download manager that crashes or stops at random. Can't select multiple items, clunky playlists. Does less than what most music apps do, but for more money. About a download crash/UI issue away from unsubbing and getting another app.

I just wish we can customized the look (Orange is not really my thing) and why is it the only music player on the oneplus one and why can't it update the album cover... Just why... Can't even sort my albums right instead puts it all in unknown album. I would choose sense 6 music player anytime because of the looks and features. Edit* Acts weird when it goes to orientation mode when playing and vice versa

For stations and playlists it works pretty well. Really hate the navigation of local music in this app though - not music downloaded from the store, but music copied to device via USB or on the SD card. It feels like a feature that was begrudgingly added by the developers.

This app is great and use it for my everyday music. However there's an issue with the recent update. When I have my phone locked and have a song running, after playing the same song 2-3 times it'll stop replaying the same song. I would have to press the power button or unlock my phone with my finger print (pixel XL) to make it start again.

Google needs to work on this app... For 14 days its just amazing and the best app for music. But after 14 days it becomes *the worst* music app... We have to pay them to listen more songs... If you want satisfaction for 14 days, then u must download but if it is beyound 14, don't download.Google, you should definately work to make it free. I think most of the people will not purchase. So why have you kept the mechanism? Work on it GOOGLE.

When the app works it is really good. But about 2 months in it now won't allow me to stream any songs. I have tried to contact the developer by email and all you get is a reply saying that this is a no-reply email address so you have to click on a link instead. When you click on the link it does not give you an option to get any help with this application.

I would love to see Comsat Angels added to your music list. I can't believe that there is absolutely nothing by them listed. I also would like it if I could dislike certain bands so I never hear them again. Like New Order. I absolutely would love to never hear them and there same old sound over and over again.
