Hello & welcome to my nook on the web! Travel With Nano B. is filled with everything I am passionate about: traveling and exploring inspiring destinations globally, savoring delicious food, enjoying life to its fullest and photographing it all along the way.

A little bit about me: I’m Nano, a 32-year-old serial expat currently living a dream in Tokyo. I am a freelance writer, photographer and travel consultant while also working a full-time job as a Public Affairs Specialist. Yup, multi-tasking is what I do best.
I’m a cubicle dweller most days and an intrepid traveler every chance I get. I’m in a timeless pursuit of my next best meal (note: sucker for all things spicy) and hangry is my middle name. I thrive on the thrill of constant travel and keep my batteries charged by exploring the culinary culture and cuisine of whatever country I find myself in. Hopping between Tokyo and the world, I strive to explore different food scenes and experience various travel styles, whether that’s Airbnb, luxury hotels, solo or group travel. Meticulous travel and event planning is my forte (I even independently planned and coordinated my destination wedding!) and I swear by detailed destination itineraries.
I’m perpetually confused & easily amused optimist. Also, a wanna-be fitness junkie who hates cardio. A fashion lover & shopaholic, dream chaser & hopeless romantic.
A perfect day includes a mug of Spanish latte, full Aussie breakfast and cuddles with my man. Favorite quote: “Today will never happen again. Don’t waste it.”
I was born in Tbilisi, Georgia – a small country which boasts with mouthwatering food, great wine & one of the most beautiful mountain range a man has seen. We also have deserts, ski resorts, awesome hiking trails and the seaside. So, if you’re looking for your next off-beat destination, Georgia is the place to be!

I was always the one with a pair of itchy feet, and followed the pleas of my insatiable wandering heart while traveling with parents and friends. Although, real adventures started after I married the love of my life. He stole my heart and turned my life upside down. I had to change my nationality (a proud American now!), quit my job, and leave behind my family and friends. Now we move every few years serving our country. But the sacrifices I’ve made are totally worth it. I get to discover the unknown parts of the world, meet so many incredible people, learn new languages (or try to!) and get a true insight into the local culture. Whether it is visiting the less-trodden paths of developing countries like Haiti or exploring the neon-drenched high-tech streets of Tokyo, expat life never gets boring!
I write about my worldly adventures, cultural exchanges and culinary discoveries in an attempt to inspire you, my lovely reader, to explore the world and help you plan your ultimate getaway. Travel With Nano B. is a place for inspiration, so come as you are and enjoy! Happy to have you with me on my journey, thank you for reading!

Just discovered your blog and love it! I’ve been based in Tokyo as well for a few years now, however currently backpacking through Europe and South East Asia for the next 6 months.
I see you’re a fan of hydrangeas (they’re my favorite flower!!). If you haven’t yet you MUST check out the ajisai matsuri in Toshimaen (Nerima-ku) next year. I went in 2015 and it was simply unforgettable :) here’s some info: https://www.enjoytokyo.jp/amuse/event/340758/

Nano, come to Bangladesh, my wife is great cook and travel (strike through) shopping companion and my sons love to hear stories, and go places too, like me (not so much for the back pain). Stay with us both of you (free), eat with us (free) and go back to say a few good things about Bangladesh.
