    As our meetings ended in the Middle East, Karen and I had the privilege to pray at the Western Wall and to pay our respects at Yad Vashem to honor the 6 million Jewish martyrs of the Holocaust & marvel at the faith and resilience of the Jewish people.

    Karen & I joined Prime Minister to commemorate the innocent lives lost & lay a wreath at Yad Vashem earlier today. We mourn the 6 million Jewish victims of the Holocaust & we draw inspiration from the faith & resilience of the Jewish people. Never again.

    My hope is that all of our friends in the region, whether they be in the Christian community, the Jewish community, the Muslim community, or in the Palestinian Authority, will recognize that the Trump Administration is committed to PEACE in the region.

    As I told , it's extraordinary to think of the progress we've made against ISIS in the last year. 98% of the territory that ISIS had taken down over the last three years has been reclaimed by those American soldiers I was standing amongst in the Middle East.

    A privilege to pray at the Western Wall. This is our 4th trip to the Holy Land, but Karen & I never fail to leave without a sense our faith has been renewed - our faith in God, but also our faith in the people of Israel & their commitment to freedom, security & peace.

    The influence of Iran in the region is dangerous. The last thing that we want to see - after driving ISIS out of Iraq & on the cusp of driving ISIS out of Syria - is Iran and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard fill that vacuum. The U.S & our allies are not going to let it happen.
