The maintenance work has now been completed and the system used to display counts for tracks on SoundCloud is stable once again. The numbers being displayed on tracks should now be an accurate representation of its counts.

We’ve been working throughout the day to get a hold on the count display error that’s happening on a number of tracks. The situation has stabilised, decreasing the number of errors on counts and maintenance will continue into the weekend. As this error is exclusive to the counts which display underneath track waveforms, if you are seeing inconsistencies please refer to the counts in your Stats Overview.

German: Wir arbeiten bereits den ganzen Tag an dem Play Count und Statistik Problem, welches einige Tracks betrifft. Die Situation ist nun stabil und weniger Inhalte sind betroffen. Die Arbeite geht das ganze Wochenende weiter. Im Moment sind nur die Plays betroffen, die du unter der Wellenform siehst. Wenn du also betroffen bist und eine Übersicht haben möchtest, kannst du diese in deiner Statistik Übersicht erhalten.

We’ve heard your concerns about play counts and are doing further maintenance to address them. Play counts may still be unreliable but please be assured that your plays will return back to normal once the maintenance is complete.

German: Wir hören eure Sorgen über die Play Counts und Zahlen und untersuchen dieses im Moment tiefer. Play Daten können im Moment immer noch unzuverlässig sein. Wir können aber versichern, dass die Plays alle wiederhergestellt werden, da nur die Darstellung hier nicht klappt. Die Daten selber sind vorhanden.

We are continuing to receive reports from the Community that their play counts are still incorrect after the initial fix. This investigation will carry on in to CET timezone - please stay tuned.
