It apparently wasn't enough for him to prevent him from acting like an egotistical jackass when he left.

If you want them, I'd buy them. They're both playable cards that are on the reserved list, so there's no real reason to expect them to drop.

RCT one month ago, still painful if I touch the area with a finger by lovelogicalfallacies in Dentistry

[–]Gordonuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you had periapical periodontitis that often means some of the bone had been eaten away by the infection. It often takes up to 6 months for that bone to fully heal after a root canal. The healing process will involve some inflammation and pain in the area. It all sounds normal to me, but without a clinical exam and some xrays it's impossible to say. The dentist should have you come in for a followup regardless, so you should find out then.

Do I have gingivitis or something worse?? by spiderlillies in Dentistry

[–]Gordonuts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Uncomfortable in what way? If the floss gets stuck and shreds you can always try glide floss, that's what I have to use and it works fine. If by uncomfortable you mean painful, that usually indicates that you have some inflammation going on, which the flossing will help fix, leading to painless flossing.

Definitely start flossing too if you don't already. It's more important than brushing for fighting gingivitis

If they weren't bleeding before, and you've been to the dentist and they didn't diagnose you with gum disease, it's likely that you just have gingivitis. It's reversible, just start with your previous hygiene routine and schedule for a cleaning when you are able. The difference between gingivitis and periodontitis is that with periodontitis you've lost bone due to the inflammation, which (generally) takes more time than you're talking about

Court partly reinstates Trump travel ban, fall arguments set by TipTipTopKek-NE in Republican

Ridicule is a bit strong I think, unless there's another article detailing their response more. It'll be interesting to see where it all ends up come October

Court partly reinstates Trump travel ban, fall arguments set by TipTipTopKek-NE in Republican

[–]Gordonuts 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Doesn't this just mean that the SC hasn't decided whether the ban is constitutional or not, and are lifting the restrictions on the ban until they hear the case?

Chalice of the void moving up, inventions to follow? by Wacefus in mtgfinance

[–]Gordonuts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree, but i think the invention version is relatively safe due to being unique. That being said, I also think the invention version has a limited ceiling due to the general consensus of the invention being less desirable.

Question About Bass Compressors by ironmaiden667 in basspedals

[–]Gordonuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a huge fan of my Diamond Bass Compressor. The eq sweep knob is simple and has useable tones at just about every position. The pedal somehow fattens the tone up and gives it more clarity and punch. I'd definitely try to find a place where you can demo it first though, they aren't cheap

What is temporary filling made of? by TinTinno in Dentistry

[–]Gordonuts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As stated before, the endodontist is not responsible for the restorative portion of treatment. A lot of times a crown is necessary after having a root canal, otherwise the tooth is likely to fracture and make that expensive root canal procedure pointless.

If someone still has a baby tooth in adulthood, and a dentist accidentally yanks it out during a teeth-whitening session, is the dentist liable? by [deleted] in Dentistry

[–]Gordonuts 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It sounds very far fetched. And if it did happen, that tooth was bound to come out at any minute regardless. Better to have it happen at the dentist's office

How is an aggressive deep cleaning not damaging to the gums? by pantshirtshoes in Dentistry

[–]Gordonuts 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's the difference between chronic damage and a single injury. The deep cleaning is a single injury that your body can heal from. Brushing too hard every day causes constant damage that doesn't give your body a chance to heal; likewise, having plaque and calculus causes constant inflammation that your body doesn't have a chance to heal from.

r/CompetitiveEDH has more subscribers than r/MTGLegacy. by ajacobik in CompetitiveEDH

[–]Gordonuts 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Some of this could be attributed to the fact that Legacy has an established forum (The Source) where the majority of high level Legacy discussion takes place. You don't really need any other sources of info for the format. Contrast that with this sub, which to the best of my knowledge is the de facto hub of discussion for CEDH

Hard to say without a clinical exam or at least xrays. It's something to bring up with a dentist in person
