Why Hearthstone?

this CCG could have been unique in its own way. but its not at all. it just feels like a clone. in my opinion. i love the fable series i had some enjoyable moments with it. ill support this card game only because of the fable name but gameplay wise i wish it was more like gwent or heck even Magic the gathering

Not Original

Although many tcg's like to imitate one another, this game in particular is a direct copy of Hearthstone and all its mechanics. I do not want to play copies. I gave it two stars because I enjoyed the good/evil mechanic, and the defender buff (taunt in HS) for one gold. To ask for $15 for a copy of a game that is already free to play is absurd, though.

interesting but not exactly what i want from fable devs

its not that i dont like this game and all but i really want a fable game that was on par with fable one i really loved that game and none of the ones after it were anywhere as good as it infact it became way too cartoony over the course of time.i would really love a fable 4 with its origional art style and grit with some slight add ons from the other fable games but not too much as they really got way too watered down which is a shame because the first one was fantastic. i know im probably asking for too much but i used to really enjoy this series of games but one by one they gradually got worse and i would just enjoy a game thats like fable 1 and went back to its roots.

Needs a ton of work b4 even a trial release.

No tutorial right off the bat nets it a 1 star. Gave 2 because of the good/evil mechanic which is unique being able to change mid game. Needs a easy way to view cards in graveyard and remaining in deck. Needs to fix screen ratio and cropping as there are huge chunks of screen missing on all 4 sides. $15 is outrageous for a broken Hearthstone copy when Hearthstone is free and already proven as a solid game. Will watch to see what happens in future patches.

Good preview! I wanted more playtime.

Online "trading card games" of the past have left me unsatisfied. Progression has been based more on how much onlie currency one is willing to purcsase instead of how much time one is willing to invest in a player neutral start. If you can make an online pvp system with "tiers" separating players by the amount of time spent playing offline, either through a campaigne or challenges, and made playing offline the primary source for new cards, then you'll probably have a formidable format for any aspiring stratigist. Advertising an online trading card game with zero purchaseable currency just might be worth an initial $60 and a hard copy... The team battles are awesome. GG.

Try it yourself

Try this game yourself and make up your own mind. Check out the bad reviews and you'll see that they're all people complaining about the game not being Fable 4 instead of reviewing the game for what it is. Sad that the user review section is becoming a place for people to troll, just like Metacritic's. Yes this game has similarities to hearthstone and MTG but it has some cool mechanics as well. It's impossible to make a ccg that has no similarities to others.

Give it a try....

This is a beautiful card game that greatly benefits from the Fable theme. While it most definitely needs a tutorial, a quick google search can get you up to speed on the basics. I have played card games in the past and I definitely consider Fable Fortune as one of my all time favorites. The British humor, beautiful visuals, and tried but true mechanics make this a must have if you are a fan of card games or the old Fable games!

Nostalgia...

I really appreciate the level of detail on all the cards. Brings back lots of memories.

Will not start

Will not get past Windows 10 /Xbox login. Continually says 'oops, login error' (xbox app logs in fine, and since Fable didn't ask for credentials, I can only assume its using the xbox for access)

Pretty solid

It's similar to hearthsone, but with a little more strategy. I like the good and evil mechanics that made Fable stand out. Just needs a tutorial and we should be good. Also like the various cards based on the series like the gargoyles, gnomes, chickens and the iconic heroes such as Jack of Blades and Reaver
