    North rift hasnt thrown away yield. It is in stores, feeding cows. No market and poor pricing. I will repeat this until policy makers understand the absurdity of the situation. In whose interest is it to sabotage the agenda on food security?

    First, the government imported bad maize that arrived from Mexico in record time. Saturated local market, forcing local farmers in North Rift to throw away their yield. Now people dying in Baringo and Turkana? What a failed state?

    It does to remember that God can cause the rains to fail and a drought to ensue but men, and yes it's mostly males, cause famine and Kenyans to starve to death over 50 years since independence.

    People don't starve overnight. Famine and drought are not acute emergencies, they slowbrew and get worse over time. For the state to say "we have food, it can be sent" is a shocking display of neglect and irresponsibility. It means this could have been prevented in good time. 💔
