    Raising three little people and having the most brutal job in politics - would almost be super human. Having a 41 year old Opposition Leader is a most appealing proposition. He’s young, part of next generation Labor and will probable get another crack at it.

    But in the end I couldn’t be assured of winning, and if I did win the extra responsibilities of leadership would make it much harder to do my bit at home while the youngest of our three little kids is only five months old. (5/7)

    Measure of the man that he didn’t throw Bill Shorten under the bus by blaming his unpopularity. Will have to check the transcripts to see if Bowen ever said “top end of town”....The point is he helped draw a line between rich and poor. That line was wrong and divisive
