Shopify: Hey, Mohamad! Shopify is a platform that people can use to create their own online stores! We give them all the tools to do that, but we don't actually sell anything ourselves. So if you are looking to buy a nice laptop, your best bet to find a store that sells one will be through a quick Google search 🙂 I hope that helps! -ZL

Shopify: Hey, Teodora. I can totally appreciate the position you're in at the moment! However, Shopify is the service that some shops use to build their website and shopping cart. We don't ship or manage the stores’ inventory or orders. Each merchant's shop is an independent business and they are responsible for running their business (fulfilling orders, etc).

The good news is that your bank/credit card has built-in security measures to protect you in case there are problems with the order. Your best bet, for now, is to try and make contact with the merchant one last time by replying to the order confirmation email you would have recived when placing the order - if you can't do that; your bank would be able to help you work out the next steps! -MN

What I can tell you is that Shopify is a platform people use to set up their own stores, we give them all the tools they need to add products, manage orders, and ship things out. If you needed to return something you bought online, the best option will be to reach out to the store owner directly- if they don't have any contact information on their page, you can just hit reply on the order confirmation email you got, that will put you in touch with the store directly 🙂 Let me know if you have any questions about this! -ZL

Shopify does provide online stores and checkout programming for some merchants, but we absolutely understand that it's frustrating to have an online order fall through. Our merchants are independent businesses and they are responsible for running their business (fulfilling orders, etc) - we don't ship or manage the stores’ inventory or orders.

We do hear from cardholders and - if their shop uses Shopify - our team will act on feedback that a shop isn't operating as a business would be expected to operate. Fortunately, each customer has the protection from their bank (or PayPal) for a return of funds in the case that a merchant hasn't fulfilled their part of the order process. We do hope that you will receive a response from the seller soon, but if not, your best option is to contact your bank for next steps. -AB
