Governor's Summit on Innovative Education
Governor Doug Burgum is inviting teachers, students, education advocates, innovators and community leaders to participate in North Dakota's first Governor's Summit on Innovative Education. The daylong summit will take place June 8 at Legacy High School, Bismarck, in collaboration with the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction and the North Dakota University System. Event registration and additional information is available online.
Governor's Photo Contest
Governor Doug Burgum and the North Dakota Tourism Division, in partnership with AAA of North Dakota and North Dakota Council on the Arts, are hosting the Governor's Photo Contest. All North Dakota photographers are encouraged to submit photos that capture the unique things to see and do in the state. Deadline for entry is August 31, 2017.

North Dakota Scenic ByRider Program
North Dakota Tourism launched the North Dakota Scenic ByRider Program in 2013 as an incentive to get motorcycle enthusiasts out on the state's scenic byways and backways. Riders traveling five of the 10 recognized scenic byways or backways in the state in one calendar year received a patch indicating they are a North Dakota Scenic ByRider.

Deer Applications Open
North Dakota's 2017 deer season is set with 54,500 licenses available to hunters this fall. North Dakota's 2017 deer gun season opens Nov. 10 at noon and continues through Nov. 26. You can apply online. The deadline for applying is June 7.
Parks and Recreation Department
Library Loan for State Park Passes
Visit your local library to check out a state park pass. The pass waives the daily vehicle fee at any North Dakota State Park.

State Fleet Vehicle Auctions
The Department of Transportation will be holding ND State Fleet vehicle auctions on May 24th in Fargo and on June 8th in Bismarck
