Description

Welcome to Thimbleweed Park. Population: 80 nutcases. A haunted hotel, an abandoned circus, a burnt-out pillow factory, a dead body pixelating under the bridge, toilets that run on vacuum tubes... you’ve never visited a place like this before. Five people with nothing in common have been drawn to this rundown, forgotten town. They don’t know it yet, but they are all deeply connected. And they’re being watched. ...Who is Agent Ray really working for and will she get what they want? ...What does Junior Agent Reyes know about a 20 year old factory fire that he’s not saying? ...Will the ghost, Franklin, get to speak to his daughter again? ...Will Ransome the *Beeping* Clown ever become a decent human being? ...Will aspiring game developer Delores abandon her dreams and stick by her family? ...And most importantly: how come no one cares about that dead body? By the end of a long, strange night in Thimbleweed Park, all of this will be answered -- and you’ll question everything you thought you knew. In a town like Thimbleweed Park, a dead body is the least of your problems. Supports Xbox Play Anywhere: Yours to play on both Xbox One and Windows 10 PC at no additional cost!

For Fans of the Genre Only

This game thinks it is hilarious and maybe you'll agree if you've played these types of games before. As a first-time point-and-click player, a lot of the humor was lost on me, though some flat voice acting didn't help. The control scheme felt a bit clunky, especially when transitioning between characters and worlds (maybe playing on a console controller influenced this?), plus the game crashed on me three times. I think I'll leave these weirdos to their devices.

Simply incredible

I just finished this on casual mode and already want to play through on hard mode. Great story, great writing, witty, and I love the stylish graphics. I definitely recommend this game.

Great game with good puzzles

Good puzzles, though like most classic adventures some are out of left field. Only issue was the game would freeze and need to be re-opened but autosave would have me almost exactly where I left off.

classic computer adventure!

If you miss those days of sitting in front of your computer and having your brain pushed to try and figure out puzzles, look no further. A must play adventure, unless you like to just hold down a trigger.

Fantastic Adventure Game

Retro style point and click fun. Great story. Great humor. Fun and challenging puzzles. If you are a fan of the old adventure games like Maniac Mansion and Monkey Island but want some adult humor, do not miss this game!

Enjoying the game (and play anywhere)

I'm putting this review under the PC platform, but I've been playing it both on PC and Xbox. This is a very enjoyable old school style adventure game. Being able to switch between playing on my Xbox One and Win 10 laptop (and even lower end tablet) is great!

Great game especially if you loved these type of games.

I miss the old days of these adventure point and click games sometimes, so when I read about this game I had to get it. Very clever, good puzzles, and entertaining throughout. I played a bunch of these games when I was a kid, especially Sierra Online games like Gabriel Knight and others, and this game didn't disappoint.

vintage point &click fun

A great adventure game with a wonderful sense of humour. The puzzles can be tough but not frustrating.
