Very irritating

Loaded it on as soon as I got Win10 on my phone and downloaded the books I already had checked out on my Android tablet. Opened the book I am currently reading from where I left off on the tablet. It may or may not sync across systems or devices, I don't know. I expected to have to find my last spot. But when I read for a bit and then backed out of the app, THE BOOK WAS BACK AT THE BEGINNING. So I found my new place, read, exited, came back, and saw the cover page yet again. Nope. Done. LOVE the Overdrive app on Androids, and even the previous version on Windows, but that's it. I'm not restarting my books randomly whenever the app decides it needs to go back to the beginning.

Why does this use so much CPU?

The UI is streamlined, but it's chugging under the hood. My Surface Pro 3 CPU is at 50-60% with nothing else running and the whole computer is overheating!

Crashes and can't remember place in book

App constantly crashes, over half the time when I re-open my book it puts me back at the beginning, and it deletes my bookmarks (which happens about once a week). Very poorly done app. I recommend using the web reader on the overdrive website if you don't need offline access.

Needs work

Doesn't save location, bookmarks don't work, but it at least let's me play audio books, however I have to remember where I was since the app won't.

Very Disappointed :(

What it does: 1. Eats up your cellular data, 2. Drains your battery, 3. Keeps closing on its own, 4. Doesn't save your bookmarks, 5. Takes forever to load. I did not have any problems with the old Overdrive App. Worked just fine. Then, last week I try to open an audio book and get a message that Overdrive will no longer work on Windows Phones. Since my OS on my phone hadn't changed I wasn't sure why Overdrive would no longer work? I installed this App and within 2 days I had gone over my data plan. I had never gone over my data plan in 3 years. I checked my settings and had everything set not to use cellular data. I had downloaded the book while connected to wifi. I think this App is intentionally using my cellular data and the company is getting a kickback from the phone companies. A total waste. Do Not Install!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Improved over Overdrive, but uses a lot of CPU

The reading experience is really good with this, much better than OverDrive's older products. I'd give this 5 stars, except for two things. It doesn't do periodicals and it keeps the CPU going at 20%-30% all the time. This will drain anything not plugged in pretty quickly. When the CPU drain gets fixed, 4 stars for sure.

great until you download

Libby is much better than the Overdrive app in terms of searching and everything. However, it is hung up on downloads. All my downloads are queued but none of them will actually download. I'll update this review once the problem is fixed or clears itself. Maybe after all the titles are due.

Not working

Stopped opening yesterday. Just spools. Reinstalled and still won't open. Very sad.

This app is horrible

The app takes forever to start-up. It crashes frequently. I was able to download an audio book and play it however, the app kept losing my place. I've also used the PC app on a tablet. It works much better. For the Windows Phone, use the old Overdrive app. This one is not ready.

Finally!

UI a bit disorienting but great job over the old Overdrive app.
