Well, really glad I bought it

I love it. As advertised. The different tips are great for my job requirements. (conventional pen/pencil quite frustrating on actual paper due to quick correction needs) I love the way it feels on the screen. Still feels like paper! Crazy stuff... Glad I started actually reading the reviews rather than the overall ratings. Now I know there's two review sections merged into the device ratings. Thanks, for that. You know who you are! You have successfully skewed a very useful tool for buyers of a device. You hurt the buyers, not Microsoft. (or whatever you people think you're doing??) There actually is a consumer complaint department. This is NOT that place. This is an unbelieveable pen!!

Bring Back the Clip

I use the pen extensively, but mostly for notes. As such, the wonderful boost to the pen's performance is good, but not as noticeable to me. What is noticeable is that the damn thing flops around in my pocket because they dropped the clip from its top. Why did they do that? It means I put the pen in my pocket more often, which tends to damage the nib. PLEASE BRING BACK THE CLIP!

Yall STILL need to calm down

Microsoft has just created one of the best digital writing products around. Giving 1 star because not all the colors are available right away is pretty stupid. I bought an i7/512 with Cobalt Type Cover and yes I want a matching pen and mouse but I'm not going to ruin a product rating because of impatience. If they are having issues, be glad they are waiting until everything is resolved rather than releasing something that isn't ready. Update 7-15-17!!!!: Guess what guys and gals, yes the colored pens aren't available yet and yes my review is going to stay the same 5 stars. I will wait until the product I want is available to purchase. Yes I would love to have been able to purchase the pen when I bought my New Pro but such is life. Saying you give up on a device because your color preference isn't available is stupid. These products will be out when they are ready. and just like any other product in high demand, they will be hard to come by. Chill out people, chill out.

AAAA

My wife absconded with my Surface Pen for her new Surface Laptop... I told her no biggie I'll just get THIS new one when available. I takes one AAAA battery that lasts over a year as per the previous inquiry. Easy twist off replacement. This Pen will get TILT functionality on older surface devise via an update later on. I love the pen and actually am very excited to try the new one.

Great smart pen/stylus!

Works like advertised! I bought the pen for drawing in my Surface 3 and it works great! The feel is much more confortable to hold than the Surface 3 pen (I don't have a Surface 4 so I don't know how that one is). I am rating the product for what it is, not what it's not. If you are disappointed it was not insertable into the Surface tablet, I'd say you can think of it any normal pen, and put it in your pocket or carrying case. This is an excellent product!

Love it!

Works best with the newest Surface Pro. It ALSO works with older Surfaces EXCEPT for the tilt feature, from what I can tell so far. The low ratings appear to be based on ordering frustrations, not actual reviews of the Pen. In my opinion, if you are an artist with the newest Pro, get this Pen. Otherwise, the less expensive older pen is fine (it's cheaper and comes with the tip kit. This one does not.)

Works great on my SP4

Just wanted to leave feedback as there are lots of old feedback of before the pen was out. So far the pen worked out of the box and the pressure does seem to be higher in Photoshop from what I tested. the pen has less of an activation pressure and I'm still waiting for the tilt update looking forward to it. Also the pen does feel a bit smoother and it looks cleaner.

Student note taking

Picked this up with my New Surface Pro. It hands down is the best writing stylus I have ever used. I actually am now preferring to take all my notes on the Pro than with pen and paper. I use it for both class and work. The sensitivity is fantastic. The only issue I have run into is that when using Note 2016 sometimes it hangs up and stays in lasso mode without holding down the button (i have only seen this happen 2 or 3 times). Also people don't leave 1 star remarks when 1) you don't own the pen and 2) you are complaining about not having the color you want for preorder yet.

Very smooth

Works very well, but the noticeable differences between it and the previous version are currently minimal at most.
