A few suggestions
- Can you please remove "Tap here for contact info" line that appears below the contact name/number? It just delays the online status of the contact. Removing it will let us check online status of contacts faster.
- Adding a symbol beside/on the profile picture of the contact to indicate they are currently online (like that green circle in Facebook Messenger) is definitely worth adding.
- Instead of selecting a picture and then tapping "add" then select multiple pictures, why isn't there a multiple picture mode in the first place? A "select mode" available from the start once I decide to share media would make the process much more convenient.
- Please add an option for "tap to record" voice notes instead of hold to record.
Love it but... update
1. I really wish it would notify you who if your contacts are online with an icon. I do understand you can see that if you click individually but a notification alert would be nice.
2. Visual status videos are limited to 30 seconds. System should allow full upload and automatically break so that video can lay instead of it being manual. If you retain manual upload of a larger video to the status, please put time count on the actual video.
3. Update so that messages over a designated time point either delete or auto archive (making this contact specific would be great as well).
4. Blocked contacts should be removed from the contact list and placed in a separate list.
5. Frequent contacts should have their own list.
iPad app not as good as iPhone app
I have had a positive experience with WhatsApp on my iPhone, so when I bought an iPad Pro and downloaded the WhatsApp for iPad, I thought it wouldn't be any different, but it definitely is.
When I want to load a document or picture, I can't write a caption. Also, if someone messages me it doesn't send a notification. I know this because my iPhone will send me one but not my iPad. The most annoying part about the iPad Pro WhatsApp is that it takes forever to load. Sometimes I have to refresh it a few times before it loads. Sometimes it will tell me that my phone is not connected to the internet which isn't true. So, I have to grab my phone and tap on it to wake it up and then the iPad WhatsApp will have better chances to load. The iPad WhatsApp could definitely use some fixing.
