    I have been briefed on the emergency landing of Southwest flight 1380 in Philadelphia. The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency is monitoring the situation along with our local and national emergency response partners.

    Remember: Avoid unnecessary contact with floodwaters! Whether in your car or not - never assume you know what's below the surface. Just 12" of moving water can sweep away a vehicle. Half that will knock someone off their feet.

    Several areal Flood Watches and Warnings remain in effect across the Commonwealth today. Watch = Flooding is possible. Stay alert and tuned to updates. Warning = Flooding is imminent. Get to higher ground. Avoid flooded roadways.

    4/15/18. A 40deg. temp drop in a day for many and we’re not done w/ turbulent weather yet. Heavy rain late Sun-Mon may bring street & flash flooding. Plus, stream & river rises into early week. If you reach a flooded road: Turn around, don’t drown.

    : 2700 PA'ian telecommunicators stationed at PSAPS (public-safety answering points) process over 9 million calls a year. (That's an average of around 3333 emergency calls per telecommunicator annually.)

    Earlier today I visited the site of Saturday's landslide along Route 30 in Pittsburgh. The commonwealth is coordinating with local responders on the ground to help displaced residents and fully assess damage caused by this event.
