This conduct is absolutely unacceptable. It is also completely disrespectful to the reporter’s colleagues not to allow them an opportunity to ask a question. President Trump has given the press more access than any President in history.

Contrary to CNN’s assertions there is no greater demonstration of the President’s support for a free press than the event he held today. Only they would attack the President for not supporting a free press in the midst of him taking 68 questions from 35 different reporters...

...over the course of 1.5 hours including several from the reporter in question. The fact that CNN is proud of the way their employee behaved is not only disgusting, it‘s an example of their outrageous disregard for everyone, including young women, who work in this Administration

As a result of today’s incident, the White House is suspending the hard pass of the reporter involved until further notice.

That “young intern” is actually Deputy Press Secretary Lindsay Walters. We taxpayers pay her $130,000.00 a year.pic.twitter.com/HWFCYyvYdW

I have no skin in this game. And Acosta should have given up the mike (basic politeness). But, wtf.
-
Mics are not forcefully snatched from reporters at press conferences by interns or anyone else. The woman was out of bounds and her behavior was unnecessary and unprecedented. The biggest lie told was she was “just doing her job”. She was sent to bail Trump out of his floundering
-
Whoever she was and whatever the reason, she had the authority to take the mic; and when someone comes to get the mic, you cede. You cede then, and write about it after. This is like the old, and very wise, union adage: obey now; grieve later.
-
The video clearly shows a surprised Acosta being deeply polite to an out of line woman behaving like a grabby toddler. She couldn’t even use words like an adult and simply ask for it. Stop being patronizing towards her. She’s an adult and should be judged as one.
-
It would be great if we all replied to the point someone is actually making, rather than one presumes they are making. This is about his behavior, not hers. He ought to have ceded out of politeness. And sorted it out later.
-
His job is to get the facts. Not be polite, which he was also.
-
Some of us are capable of doing both our jobs AND being polite. As it happens, he didn't "get the facts". He made himself the story and distracted from the Democratic win in Congress.

@Acosta is a result of poor parenting, when you are told to sit down......sit down! Respect Authority and abide by the rules, regulations & guidelines, video shows he did not.#Acosta did in fact have unwanted touching with a#WhiteHouse#Internpic.twitter.com/h3YPLs78Fy -
I don't doubt for one second that IW and Sarah Suckstobe Slanders edited and propagandized the original CSPAN footage, but for the life of me, my old eyes can't see the difference. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Someone please explain me what I am looking for. TYIA.
-
There was no difference. She was reaching for the microphone as is her job, he put his arm out and brushed her aside. Democrats are so blind, they only see what they want. Trump is one heck of a man and president to put up with the abuse he takes from the press.
