About GameSociety
GameSociety is a community driven and moderator guided forum for discussing games, primarily. We love all types of games here; console, PC, handheld, even board games are discussed.
We have biweekly (every 2 weeks) Game Nights where our users are encouraged to join us for some fun! To take part, vote for whatever game you want to play in the weekly Suggestions Thread, then join the Discord for game night! It might be a little chaotic but everyone will get to take part.
Posting Guidelines
Acceptable Posts
"You Should Play" type posts
Opinion Based Pieces (I don't like single player games; here's why)
Game Discussion Threads (No longer scheduled, for the most part, so post about any game you want, whenever you want)
Broader Discussion Threads (You've seen them already, FPS discussion, Bethesda games, etc. You get the picture)
Text/Self posts only
For all of the above, try to provide context for the discussion you are starting. Titles should be able to stand alone, but try to use the text box to steer the conversation in the direction you want, if there is one!
Disallowed Content
Articles, videos, images, etc. Links in general are not allowed*
Memes, macros, joke/pun threads
Rant threads with no clear purpose other than raging at something
Industry threads** ("Nintendo announces x", "Bethesda rumored to be working on x", etc.)
*One caveat would be posting a relevant article/video in the body of your post. Can be included, but post should be able to stand without it. Use discretion and common sense
**We will be removing industry posts and "meta" posts. Keep them into the appropriate mega threads. If you have a pressing concern or comment about the subreddit feel free to utilize mod mail.
