I’m the one who posted the photo. McFaul had nothing to do with Veselnitskaya. Her attendance was part of her anti-Magnitsky influence campaign. Contact me for quotes if you wish.

There is some potbellied blonde father of three talking about Prince sucking. I’m not kidding now. I need immediate exfiltration.

Then why wait till 2012 to kill him? Mughniyeh was killed in 2008. Everyone said Saudi and FSA blew up the crisis management cell. It’s horrible optics for Iran and regime.

Look. I’ve made an amateur scholarly obsession of QS. He is by far the most intriguing intelligence operative alive today. And his death from other than natural causes will have reverberations far and wide. Loved and feared in equal measure, etc.

The decision to leave the deal was made before that—and relayed to Bibi. That presentation just provided cover.

Bibi is more cautious than that. And it’d be a Mossad operation, more probably than an IDF one. Again, I don’t see it. Humiliating QS like they did last night is a more severe blow. His martyrdom would be colossal.

I would say there is almost no chance they don’t ask US permission. Whether or not the US grants it, I am far less confident.

Ok, on that we agree. But given Iran’s meek response, why escalate by taking out a man seen as the centurion of Khomeinism? Play as you go. Israel isn’t there yet and doesn’t have to be. Although I agree, given Trump’s latest moves, the possibility is higher than before.

Right but Shawkat was killed in the blast that took Maher’s limbs. If he was an Iran asset, why hurt him too? The FSA got to Shawkat before with the poisoning, remember? I think this is a conspiracy theory. I was never convinced.

CIA spotted Soleimani coming into Jalal’s house as they were leaving. They said hello and went on their way. Ask about the chances for the US to kill Soleimani.

Because Mughniyeh was a joint Mossad-CIA op and we had troops in active combat in Iraq in 2008. Read Dex Filkins on QS...

Admittedly he’d have a more receptive audience in this White House than in the last. But still.
