Nobody ridicules Pence for being Christian. They ridicule him for claiming to be "Christian" while he fights to disregard the marginalized, make the rich richer, turn away war refugees, steal kids from migrants & pretend that Christ shares his homophobia. .

I am a firm believer in the First Amendment. Everyone is free to practice their religion. All faiths. The problem is when they impose their beliefs on us politically. That’s where we are now and it’s dangerous.

Not if you practice your religion and not try to impose it on everyone else. Pence believes in gay conversion therapy and the Earth is 6000 years old. He has worked his whole life to implement policies based on his extreme beliefs. That’s why he’s ridiculed.

Trumps acolytes are so unbelievably stupid they are actually arguing that, through some unknown magic that escapes all economists, China IS paying tariffs to USA, rather than US importers paying them. I swear, if trump told these people they were dead, they would bury themselves.

Please don’t take that as what I meant. You have every right. I don’t use that word lightly but I’ve had some unique experiences. I don’t believe everyone we fight is a monster but I believe that if we ignore the laws of war we’ll be no better than the enemies that are.

Oh? Have you sat in on an interview with an Al Qaeda Iraq cell leader who casually admitted to beheading Iraqi soldiers? I have. How about your interpreter having his head cut off on video and distributed in the market and sent to his wife? I’ve had that too. We do fight monsters

It’s fascinating to read about all of the machinations that led to thousands of my fellow service members dying, more suffering from lifelong injuries and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis losing their lives as just an “oops” of process. It’s also horrifying.

My mother got sick when I was in Iraq in 2005. I was able to fly home in time to see her before she succumbed to a cruel infection and attend her funeral. I went back to war days later. I often wonder what she’d think of my journey since and how different it would have been.

They are already getting thousands of qualified candidates. West Point is the number one public college in America. We don’t need professional athletes to attract America’s best. This is stupid idea and will undermine the entire mission of the academies.

This is a terrific piece that perfectly outlines my anger and frustration with the forgiveness of war crimes. They are not heroes and all is not fair in war. We have rules and ethics to keep us from becoming the monsters we are fighting against.

Because the goal is to terrorize people from not coming at all. That’s it. Miller and Kelly came up with this whole system of gulags and lawyers to “deter” migrants. By making the price for seeking a better life too high. So, not allowing a guy to see his sick child is perfect.

I produce all of my wheat, barley, chickpeas, lentils, and canola in the USA. I always have. I sell most of it to Asian export markets. The tariffs are killing those very markets. The Chinese have not bought any US wheat since March '18
