Coastal Shipping Reform

Recommendations to improve the flexibility of Australia's coastal shipping were released for comment today, with the aim to deliver a larger share of the national freight transport task.

The Coastal Shipping Reforms Discussion Paper is seeking submissions from relevant stakeholders addressing the recommendations provided, or any new innovative improvements that can be made to the current regulatory scheme.

Submissions should be made before Friday 28 April 2017. Instructions on how to make a submission and the discussion paper can be found at infrastructure.gov.au/maritime/business/coastal_shipping.
