Azure Event Hubs Capture is now generally available. This key Event Hubs feature (which was released in public preview as Event Hubs Archive), gives you access to near real-time streams, making it possible to package and transport millions of events per second for further processing. It is designed to combine both batch and near-real-time streams, so you don’t need to construct separate data pipelines.

Azure Event Hubs new auto-inflate lets you automatically scale-up the number of Throughput Units (TUs) on an Event Hubs namespace to meet usage needs. This feature prevents throttling when data ingress rates exceed set Throughput Units or when data egress rates exceed set TUs.

Spikes or steps in the telemetry of your app can now be easily diagnosed. When you use Application Insights Analytics to explore app metrics over time, sudden changes, such as spikes or dips, are highlighted. With one click, Smart Diagnostics will find a pattern (a series of data with common values) that correlates with the change, and explain the reason behind it.
