A large exchange like calling Bitcoin Cash “Bcash” screams unprofessional and petty. It’s funny when done by individuals to troll or tease BCH supporters, but businesses should be behaving more professionally.

I strongly disagree. "Bitcoin cash" is easier to confuse with "Bitcoin" than "bcash". Thus calling it "bcash" reduces the chances of someone being scammed buying bch thinking it's btc for the price of btc. Everybody should do it including exchanges.

Actually, people do get confused about those, but there's nothing we can do about that. The cryptocurrency ecosystem is complicated enough for most people even with each currency having it's own distinctive name. And the solution it's no effort, since bcash is shorter.

Today at the I met a guy who asked for help: the ATM wouldn’t send BTC to his wallet. Apparently he was using a wallet by mistake. *Luckily* the QR code was too small and wasn’t recognized by the machine. “Why is the app named Bitcoin, then?!” he quipped

More likely the QR code had the proper bitcoincash: prefix embedded. Is this where I tell everybody not to trust you?

I didn’t know this was a thing so I didn’t check and obviously can’t check now. Glad to know this precaution exists. You can tell people whatever you want
