Went there for dinner and dancing with three other couples. We ordered a la carte. Short wait for the food. Food was delicious. Ordered empanadas, pernil, and mofongo with shrimp. It was all delicious. I thought the portion size of the pernil was a bit much but it was good. Service was excellent - prompt and attentive. I did not like that we could not have the option of separate checks. That was ridiculous. I'm not up to doing math after I've had a few drinks. Then we moved over to the dance area. Good crowd, good music. Very nice place. I would recommend it for its restaurant and dance area.

I have been to this location numerous times and my experience have always been pleasant. The staff is always attentive. Ive visited all the location under rhe Don Coqui name and its alway the astoria location where i would recommend any of my friends to go. The food is always on point, though i thought they were alittle cheap on the steak and mofongo i ordered the food was on point which made up for it. You guys rock. Keep up the good work.

Disappointed with several things. Specifically the feeling of being rushed to finish our meals to then be set to the side to finish my birthday celebration. The girls at coat check were great however having to check in every single item including birthday gifts defeats the purpose of sharing the experience with your guests. 1 perk was that the food was ok however 2 of my guests were not able to eat at our designated seating plan because of this rushed feeling. My party was significantly large and though you graciously seated us before all but 4 were present, still left us feeling rushed. Probably will think twice about suggesting Don Coqui Astoria to others considering a large venue for a celebration. Sigh

I don't live in NY and someone refer me to this place. So I decided to celebrate my birthday here. I'm Puerto Rican and I was soooo disappointed in the food. The food was cold and my sisters food had a bug coming out of her food. I lost my appetite. I will never go there again. Over priced on food for the type of quality that I received. I couldnt even spend anymore of my money so i left and skip drinking and dancing.

Went on sat nov 26 Had birthday reservation at 10pm didn't get seated until 11:45pm drink were watered down over priced my porkchops were cremated over cooked and hard. My wife's food was cold as well. We got up and left. This place definitely Needs new management .. the DJ was on fire and had the place jumping while we waited to be seated for 1 hour and 45 minutes passed our 10pm reservation.. Beware!

The waiter was impolite. He didn't listen to us, he streched his hands over to out meal to place/clear items.
We where basically rushed to eat, they stood around watching us.
Also there were many persons wearing hats, but only a member from my group was targeted. The dj was all over the place with the music, for a good 10 mins persons were just standing, They only cater to their kind.
Would never revisit.

We celebrated my sister's birthday last week and had an amazing night. The food was great, service was courteous, fast, and attentive. S/O to Omar who assured we had everything we needed. The club was packed the bottle girls were dope and the dj's were on point straight til morning!

Wish I could say it's a good place but Friday night I was there with a big group dancing and having fun until a dumb asshole bouncer decided he's going to take one of our friend by neck and kick him out because their bump into him while their were dancing never going there again they need to reeducate those stupid bouncer the sad part about it is that we spend over $1,000 in drinks we left the place disgusted

The food was served in super large portions. Loved everything but my red sangria did not have fruit nor was it garnished with fruit. Will definitely return for food and dancing. The music was from my era and a real pleasure.
