French National Front to face embezzlement trial

The far-right National Front will be tried over allegations that it set up a system to siphon off public funds during the 2012 presidential and parliamentary elections. Two senior party figures - Wallerand de Saint-Just and Jean-Francois Jalkh - are accused of concealing the abuse of assets. Jalkh also faces charges of fraud and misuse of a position of trust.
