Trump passed his so-called ban on Muslims, and a judge jumped in.
(The Hill) A federal judge in New York has issued an emergency stay temporarily halting the removal of individuals detained after President Trump issued an order to ban immigrants from seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the U.S.
President Trump is seeking to slash the number of workers at the Environmental Protection Agency by at least half, leaving it significantly gutted as the administration mulls further cuts, the former head of Trump's EPA transition team said Friday.
QOTD: "To the extent this ban applies to new immigrant and non-immigrant entry, this temporary halt (with exceptions) is wise. We know that terrorists are trying to infiltrate the ranks of refugees and other visitors. We know that immigrants from Somalia, for example, have launched jihadist attacks here at home and have sought to leave the U.S. to join ISIS.
Indeed, given the terrible recent track record of completed and attempted terror attacks by Muslim immigrants, it’s clear that our current approach is inadequate to control the threat. Unless we want to simply accept Muslim immigrant terror as a fact of American life, a short-term ban on entry from problematic countries combined with a systematic review of our security procedures is both reasonable and prudent." --David French

What Mr. Trump should have done was sign an order resettling all of the Muslim “refugees” in rich, liberal-populated areas and near Democrat Party lawmakers' homes. Not just liberal cities, but near the posh areas.
It would have been interesting to see how Democrats would have objected. Instead, we end up with this bit by former Obama flunky David Benjamin:

As the Trump Administration rolled out the new orders on immigration enforcement yesterday, we at NumbersUSA noticed a lot of very familiar ideas.
They were on our list of the 10 most important actions needed to reduce the current and future illegal population of the country. We assembled the list last summer. We looked over the dozens of actions that would be helpful and chose 10. We then arranged them in order of which ones would have the most impact on the reduction.
First, here is the statement I put out to the nation's news media yesterday:
Blasting President Donald Trump for his Twitter-based demands that Mexico free up the pesos needed to build a U.S.-Mexico border wall, President Enrique Peña Nieto abruptly pulled out of a planned summit with Trump.
Answering Trump in kind, the Mexican head of state tweeted midday Thursday in Spanish, "We have informed the White House that I will not attend the working meeting planned for next Tuesday with @POTUS[.]"
The previous night Peña Nieto had reiterated his government’s opposition both to the wall and to his country paying for it. "I regret and reject the decision of the United States to continue building a wall that, far from uniting, divides us," he tweeted according to an apparently reliable English translation.
In an unprecedented round of refreshingly transparent social media diplomacy, Trump, the master negotiator, published two tweets baiting his Mexican counterpart:
QOTD: "The media should be embarrassed and humiliated and keep its mouth shut and just listen for awhile. I want you to quote this. The media here is the opposition party. They don't understand this country. They still do not understand why Donald Trump is the president of the United States...
...The elite media got it dead wrong, 100 percent dead wrong. [They suffered] a humiliating defeat that they will never wash away, that will always be there.
...The mainstream media has not fired or terminated anyone associated with following our campaign. Look at the Twitter feeds of those people: they were outright activists of the Clinton campaign. That's why you have no power. You were humiliated."
