Howdy,

Wordpress 4.7, Spike v2.1 theme, Windows 10, Firefox 50.1 x64.

On my About webpage, I added a link towards a portfolio page. See following jpeg >

It all worked fine. But I then realized that I didn't want to open into a separate view.

Went back to the Visual Editor - and unchecked the "Open link in a new Tab".

Clicked 'Update'.

Viewed the About page again - and upon clicking the link in question - it still opened a new tab.

Went back to the Editor - this time switching over to Text View - and manually removed the target="_blank". Did another Update, to save the file. Things are fine now.

If you turn ON the "Open link in a new Tab", it will add target="_blank".

If you turn OFF the "Open link in a new Tab", it will remove target="_blank".

A search field and button in the right column can be very convenient to search for a post if you have a post or a page open. Then you don't have to first open your posts or pages in order to be able to use the search posts and pages option.

It would be great if one could work on layout changes without affecting the live site and save those without them becoming active straight away.

For larger changes more time might be required that available in one working session. Hence it woule be great to being able to save those changes and complete them later.

Is there a way to automatically insert an image title attribute? When uploading pictures I specify the Alt Attriubut. If I want to insert the picture in the text I always have to specify the alt attribute again.
Automatic insertion would be desirable.
Is it possible to adopt this in future versions?

Hi,
I handle hundreds of WordPress site in my server. Sometimes intruder coming to my server and use symlink to read any wp-config.php files in whole server. If we can change the wp-config.php name easily in future, that will increase the WordPress security.

There isn't a decent plugin to allow to create folders within the media library. As they are just catergories that you can add.

I think WP would be beneficial with a folder management system with the media library to help organise files in the library.

Simply when you click add new, a drop down menu will appear asking if you want to add new files or folder. Add new folder and then what ever files you have already in your media library you can drag it into that folder or click the file and allocate it a folder in the right hand sidebar section.

Just be easier for us and clients to be able to find files easier within their media library.

WordPress is a great platform. It would be much better if the dashboard has a notification module which gets updated when the PHP, JS code is throwing errors.

If this feature is added to WP, we don't have to log into VPS or check log files for finding errors

When trying to manually update a plugin (by uploading a zip file), we have to remove the old version first. Otherwise, the install will fail with the error "Destination folder already exists".

I think this should be transparent for the user, the previous version should be automatically removed to allow the new version being installed.
