“...and I pray God YOUR WHOLE SPIRIT and SOUL and BODY be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Thessalonians 5:23)

As we have each been created ‘SPIRITUAL’ in nature, it is reasonable to suggest that we should consider what is written in the MOST SPIRITUAL BOOK of all — the Bible, to understand where we came from and what is God's destiny that He has planned for humanity.

Where Part 1 in this series used scripture to prove that the Earth has experienced TWO MAJOR floods (Lucifer’s Flood in the Original Earth and Noah’s Flood in the Present Earth); this video reveals it is most likely that ALL humans born on this Present Earth have lived a previous lifetime on the Original Earth.

The purpose of this was to allow God to ASSESS how each individual’s response was to either OBEY or to DISOBEY His commandments back then.

It is on this ‘foreknowledge’ God gained about each of us that this has allowed Him to determine:

— how useful we are likely to be to Him in the furthering of His purposes for humanity, and ultimately to become one of His 'sons and daughters" (2 Corinthians 6:18);

— in what dispensation of time we will be born into this Present world;

— who our parents will be;

— what ethnicity we will be;

— what gender we will be;

— what country we will be born in;

— what natural gifts we shall be given to assist God’s purposes.

In this video, an example is used of the Prophet Jeremiah whom God said He “KNEW” before God formed him in his mother’s belly (i.e. prior to conception). It is because Of God’s foreknowledge of Jeremiah before he was born that God appointed him to be a prophet to the nations (Jeremiah 1:5 KJV).

Today, many Christians are looking TOWARDS THE NEAR FUTURE and to the Rapture of the Church – when at this event, they expect to receive their new, glorified, and IMMORTAL BODY (1 Corinthians 15:52), together with a NEW LIFE with Christ in His kingdom that will last for 1,000-years throughout the Millennium. There are a number of scripture verses that support this claim.

On the contrary, this video looks backward towards events on the Original Earth to claim that ALL humans born on this Present Earth lived a previous lifetime on the Original Earth.

For those people on the Original Earth who were found totally OBEDIENT to God’s commands, it appears they were most likely allocated responsible positions in God’s Plan for Mankind in this life — on this Present Earth.

Examples of such people having lived a lifetime on this Present Earth in the service of God were Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, the 11-disciples, the Apostle Paul, etc. It seems that even the traitor Judas Iscariot was foreknown by God and yet allocated the position of being a Disciple of Jesus Christ and to exercise the POWER of God when required:

“Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen YOU TWELVE, AND ONE OF YOU IS A DEVIL [foreknown to Me]?” (John 6:70)

By understanding from scripture that “God changes NOT” (His values, His mind or in any way would deviate in judgment from what He has judged in the past) it is also safe to assume that the same things happened in the other generations of the Earth as King Solomon has hinted about in the verse below:

“The thing that hath been i.e. in the Original Earth, it is that which shall be [in the Present Earth]; and that which is done [in the Present Earth] is that which shall be done [in the New Earth]: and [this is why] THERE IS NO NEW THING UNDER THE SUN.” (Ecclesiastes 1:9)

This Part 1 video focuses on the Original Earth that is referenced in the Bible at Genesis 1:1 and events associated with it. This is because the Bible contains various descriptions associated with its state of ‘watery judgment’ as described in Jeremiah 4:23-26 and 2 Peter 3:4-7.

The study also makes the claim that Adam was the FIRST SAVIOUR sent by God to save the then inhabitants of the world - whom Satan had “...beguiled” (Genesis 3:13).

The lesson here is that ALL of God’s creation – be they angels or humans, are unable to save themselves from being “...beguiled” by Satan. They need "...every word of God" (2 Timothy 3:16-17) for assistance. If Christians today prefer to place their faith in their chosen 'religion' as an alternative, this means their rejection of God and His words indicates they prefer the words of Satan rather than the words of God, which makes them deserving of eternal punishment in the Lake of Fire (Revelation 20:11-15).

In this matter, God has given everyone born on the Earth His words — and especially those of Jesus Christ, that if OBEYED, will enable such individuals to be the “...OVERCOMER of Satan’s lies and deceptions”.

“HE THAT OVERCOMETH [Satan’s lies and deceptions] shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and HE SHALL BE MY SON.” (Revelation 21:7)

This promise from Jesus Christ means that He will include such OVERCOMERS to be a part of His forthcoming kingdom on Earth during the Millennium.

This article examines the principles of how the two levels of faith Abraham demonstrated towards God — and how “…A MAN IS JUSTIFIED [by his ‘works of faith’], AND NOT BY FAITH ONLY”:

“Was not Abraham our father JUSTIFIED BY WORKS, WHEN HE HAD OFFERED ISAAC HIS SON UPON THE ALTAR? 22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, AND BY WORKS WAS FAITH MADE PERFECT? 23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God [i.e. ‘Initial Salvation’], and it [his faith in ALL of God’s words that] was imputed unto him for righteousness: and [it was on this basis] he was called the Friend of God. 24 Ye see then HOW THAT BY WORKS [where God requires believers to demonstrate they love God far more than they love their own family members — and by this,] A MAN IS JUSTIFIED, AND NOT BY FAITH ONLY [that has no ‘works of faith’ accompanying that faith].” (James 2:21)

This article reveals how Initial and Final Salvation for Christians relates in much the same way to the trial God inflicted upon Abraham.

This understanding evolved from a question posted on a video I produced. In this video, I expose the heresy of the ‘Once Saved Always Saved’ doctrine.

The video was prompted by a visitor who referenced a popular preacher by the name of Onorato Diamante. He made the following statement in this video. Here, he misquotes Romans 4:5 to falsely claim that Christians who “…WORKETH NOT” will be saved:

“But to HIM THAT WORKETH NOT, but BELIEVETH ON HIM that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” (Romans 4:5)

In this, I believe the Apostle Paul is referring to an audience of unbelieving sinners who are considering becoming ‘Christians’. The above verse cannot refer to mature-aged Christians as Onorato is implying.

In the previous verses (Romans 4:2-4) that Onorato conveniently fails to refer to, the Bible says this:

"For if Abraham were justified by works [prior to him being accepted by God], he hath whereof to glory; but not before God [but before others]. 3 For what saith the scripture? ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD, and it [meaning, his faith only] was counted unto him for righteousness. 4 Now [on the contrary] to HIM THAT WORKETH [by refusing grace and working instead to impress God for His Salvation] is the reward [of Salvation] NOT RECKONED BY GRACE, BUT OF DEBT."

(Romans 4:2-4)

The above verses spoken of by Paul allude to Abraham being “Initially Saved‘ by FAITH ALONE and NOT OF WORKS. In a similar sense, God requires the same to occur in Christians, as portrayed in the illustration below:

In this illustration, the dark horizonal line represents the timeline of an individual from birth to death. The block above the timeline extends from the date of their ‘Salvation’ to their death. I also term this, ‘Simple Salvation‘, as it symbolises a particular ‘religious’ viewpoint of Salvation.

God’s testing of Abraham’s faith

The scriptures reveal that God required Abraham to be tested; just as Job was tested (Job 1:8; 2:3). This ’testing’ is to determine every Christian’s worthiness to be termed the “Friend of God”. Please read James 2:23; 1 Peter 1:7; 1 Peter 4:12 and John 15:15.

For Abraham to inherit God’s promises, God required him to offer up his only son as a burnt sacrifice. This requirement would determine his destiny (or eternal life — meaning, ‘Final Salvation‘ (Genesis 15:5),

Here, God required him to do “WORKS OF FAITH“. The outcome of his OBEDIENCE would prove his dedication towards loving and serving God from that point onward. Below is God’s command to Abraham:

"And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am. 2 And he said, TAKE NOW THY SON, thine only son Isaac, WHOM THOU LOVEST, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and OFFER HIM THERE AS A BURNT OFFERING upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of." (Genesis 22:1-2)

If you read the following verses, you will see that Abraham OBEYED God!

Once God witnessed His obedience, God intervened in Abraham’s ‘WORKS” at the altar. In this God provided “…a ram” (verse 13) as a substitute sacrifice for Isaac.

Christians MUST demonstrate their LOVE for God also!

My point here is that >>IF<< Abraham loved his ONLY SON more than he loved and obeyed God – this would mean he was no different to any other person on Earth. It also meant he was unworthy of any favours from God – especially eternal life with God; or, ‘Salvation’.

The same principle involving God testing Abraham’s love and ‘service’ similarly applies to Christians in relation to the same “WORKS of Faith” (James 2:26). In this, God requires Christians to perform similar “WORKS” as Abraham did, as stated in the following verse:

“They [the Pharisees] answered [Jesus] and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, YE WOULD DO THE WORKS OF ABRAHAM.” (John 8:39)

“Was not ABRAHAM OUR FATHER JUSTIFIED BY WORKS, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?” (James 2:21)

As Abraham was justified as becoming a “Friend of God“, God requires ALL Christians to become a Disciple of His.

In this, God first requires an ‘INITIAL’ test. This is to demonstrate the Christian’s LOVE for JESUS CHRIST. It is to be demonstrated to be far MORE than their LOVE for any family member. The contrast is measured in how much someone can be LOVED or HATED:

"If any [Christian] man [or woman] come to me [Jesus for Salvation], and HATE NOT [meaning, LOVE LESS THAN JESUS CHRIST to the degree as love and hate are the extremes] his FATHER, and MOTHER, and WIFE, and CHILDREN, and BRETHREN ['brothers’], and SISTERS, yea, AND HIS OWN LIFE ALSO, he CANNOT BE MY DISCIPLE." (Luke 14:26-33)

This New Testament principle of loving God more than one’s own family members is the same requirement God used when testing Abraham’s faithfulness. This same principle applies to EVERY CHRISTIAN today (Acts 10:34)!

The ‘FINAL’ test for Christians is to perform the SAME WORKS (or miracles) that Christ performed (John 14:12).

What ‘INITIAL’ and ‘FINAL’ Salvation represents

The image below indicates that once a ‘new’ Christian is “Initially Saved” by responding to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, he or she must then “STRIVE to enter into God’s kingdom” (Luke 13:23-24). At some point in this “striving”, God will provide him or her with the ‘New Birth’ (John 3:3-8). This is to enable the new Christian to “…see the Kingdom of God” with their spiritual eyes opened (John 3:3; Matthew 13:15).

Christians are then required to mature spiritually from being a “Babe in Christ” (1 Corinthians 3:1) through to becoming a “Good Soldier of Jesus Christ”( 2 Timothy 2:3).

From this, such an individual is headed towards the ‘spiritual’ “Finish Line” (2 Timothy 4:7) of the “Race the God has set before every Christian to run” (Hebrews 12:1-2) as shown in the two illustrations below.

Finally, all Christians who are spiritually maturing are allocated “ministries” (1 Corinthians 12:12-20). These ministries are to be “…fitly joined together in love” within the “Body of Christ” (Ephesians 4:16; John 13:35; 1 Corinthians 12:27). This is the role of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:10-12), and is termed the “Spirit Baptism” (Matthew 3:11).

Summary

The following table compares the requirements God set for both Abraham and for Christians as the basis for entry into Heaven after their life has ended on Earth.

The above table reveals that Abraham and Christians are to LOVE and OBEY GOD in FAITH. Christians are also required to perform “WORKS OF FAITH” to prove to God that they LOVE HIM.

If Christians fail to meet the above foundational requirements for entry into Heaven, how else can they be assured of Salvation?

These claims refute the false doctrines being preached in most (if not all) Christian churches today.

It could also be said that the above doctrine represents “Paul’s Gospel“. In the following verses, he refers to his gospel in Romans 2:16; 16:25 and 2 Timothy 2:8. He also referred to it in Galatians 2:2 as “…that gospel“.

The video below demonstrates (from the EVIDENCE I present) that most Christians today are "NOT SAVED".

In two of the examples I present, a summary is shown of the statistics obtained from TWO advertising campaigns I promoted during 2020 and 2024. The results of these promotions prove that MOST Christians today are “LUKEWARM” when it comes to doctrine.

"But speak thou THE THINGS WHICH BECOME SOUND DOCTRINE:" (Titus 2:1)

"For the time [in these 'Last Days'] will come WHEN THEY [the Christians in the churches] WILL NOT ENDURE SOUND DOCTRINE..." (2 Timothy 4:3)

In another example, I present a Comment that was posted on one of my website articles - and how this man’s belief system is based on a LIE from one of Satan’s modern preachers. This example proves that Christians like him are unable to discern between'Truth' and 'Lies'.

In the two videos I produced, I demonstrate the EXREMELY POOR Retention Rate (RR) of Christians who viewed these videos – this 'RR' being just 4½ minutes. How can anyone teach someone else a doctrine in just 4½ minutes?

A key feature of all this is that Christians today are NOT Bible-based. Instead, they are church-based. I have discovered they refuse to indicate a "YES - meaning, I totally agree with you brother" to indicate they are "HOT" with the Bible verses presented. Neither do they say "NO - I disagree with you brother - and here are my Bible verses that prove it". Instead, Christians prefer to remain SILENT towards what has been presented.

The statistics presented demonstrate that every Christian's "INDIFFERENCE" towards what the Bible says - indicates their "LUKEWARMNESS" towards Jesus Christ and especially towards their Salvation:

"So then because thou art LUKEWARM, and NEITHER COLD NOR HOT, I will spue [or vomit] thee [or thy name] OUT OF MY MOUTH" [Jesus speaking - Revelation 3:16)

WARNING:

Please DON'T move on after reading this introductory note. Jesus assigns such behaviour as being being "LUKEWARM'! Such behaviour indicates to Him that you hate scripture and therefore God Himself (Psalm 138:2). This is Satan’s plan for your life (1 Peter 5:8-9)!

I have further learned that God has established an ‘Entry Standard’ that associates with this “…the mark…of high calling”.

This ‘Entry Standard’ God requires is that every Christian must become as “PERFECT” as God the Father is perfect (in this life), as stated by Jesus below:

BE YE THEREFORE PERFECT, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. (Matthew 5:48 KJV)

The Apostle Paul also confirmed the above commandment by saying:

“...and this also we wish, EVEN YOUR PERFECTION.” (2 Corinthians 13:9 KJV)

This command by Jesus also represents:

…THE PRIZE of THE HIGH CALLING OF GOD in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:14)

This “PRIZE” can only be obtained by those who are running in God’s spiritual “RACE” that He has set before every Christian to “RUN”:

“…and LET US RUN WITH PATIENCE the [spiritual] RACE that is set before [each of] us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the AUTHOR and FINISHER of our FAITH…” (Hebrews 12:1-2)

Once again, God will accept nothing less than this high standard of “PERFECTION” for souls desiring to enter into Heaven.

The False Gospel Deception

I have discovered that the biggest end-time deception within the church is the 'Gospel of Jesus Christ' that ministry leaders promote as being all that is needed to obtain Salvation after a Christian dies.

However, this ‘Gospel of Jesus Christ’ is limited to Salvation for those who are in situations similar to the Thief on the Cross — where the converted sinner has only a short time to live before departing this world.

And he [the thief] said unto Jesus, LORD, REMEMBER ME when thou comest into thy kingdom. 43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, TODAY [meaning, in a few hours, and immediately after your death] shalt thou be with me in Paradise. (Luke 23:42-43)

In today’s world, unsaved sinners who need urgent surgery or are in a vehicle accident (and have the 'Gospel of Jesus Christ' preached to them — and they accept Christ as their Saviour - Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-10) go immediately to Heaven at their death (Hebrews 9:27).

However, the vast majority of Christians today spend many years reading their Bibles, praying and regularly attending their churches. God expects far more from these Christians than those who die a short time after accepting Christ as Saviour.

…For unto WHOMSOEVER [in the churches over many years] MUCH [knowledge and understanding about God in the Bible] IS GIVEN, of HIM SHALL MUCH BE REQUIRED [by God in this life]: and to WHOM MEN [in the pews] have committed much [to their preachers and teachers in the pulpits], of him they will ask the more. (Luke 12:48)

The ‘Gospel of Jesus Christ’ represents spiritual “BAIT”

Jesus stated in Matthew 4:19 that He would make His disciples “…fishers of men”.

In this, God has designed Christ’s Gospel as (spiritual) “BAIT” to be placed on the hooks of Christ’s “fishermen”:

If unsaved sinners accept Jesus Christ as as their “Saviour” (John 4:42) from spending eternity in Hell (Revelation 20:15; Isaiah 66:22-24) — while steadfastly overcoming Satan’s temptations to continue “living in sin” (Romans 6:11; 7:20); these fulfil the requirements of the Gospel of Jesus Christ of becoming repentant sinners.

However, simply remaining as a repentant sinner without doing any of the required “WORKS that Christ did” (John 14:12) and of bringing in the required quantity of spiritual “FRUIT” unto God (John 15:2 and 6) while “RUNNING” in their “RACE”; this indicates such a low status of Biblical understanding of the Bible will not permit any such Christian entry into Heaven after they die (Philippians 2:12).

An Overview of the Apostle Paul’s Gospel

The Apostle Paul in his writings to the churches stated that:

• He was anointed by Jesus as the “Apostle to the Gentiles” (Romans 11:13)

• He was given his personal gospel by Jesus that was to be preached among the Gentiles (Galatians 1:11-12)

• He termed his Gospel “My Gospel” as stated in Romans 2:16; 16:25; 2 Timothy 2:8.

• God the Father intends using Jesus Christ as His Judge — together with Paul’s Gospel, to determine if each Christian has OBEYED Paul’s Gospel during their lifetime on Earth or not.
  
  If Christians have OBEYED Paul’s Gospel, this process of “perfection” enables them to become “…as PERFECT as God the Father is perfect” - in this life (Matthew 5:48).
  
  This then establishes them as being eligible for entry into Heaven when they depart this world.

On the contrary, I have discovered that many Christians have failed to obey Paul’s Gospel. This failure of God’s people to OBEY God’s words has been a common problem among God’s people over the past millennia, as stated by:

• Isaiah the Prophet (Isaiah 53:1)

• Jesus Christ (John 12:38)

• The Apostle Paul (Romans 10:16)

• Me, in these days (in my eBook #1 - ‘The Hitchhiker’s Guide Through the Churches’)

However, if Christians fail to achieve this "Mark of High Calling in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 3:14) because they were "DECEIVED" (Matthew 24:4) into believing a false gospel that cannot ‘Save’ (2 Corinthians 11:4), this means they will be found UNWORTHY to enter into Heaven, when judged by Jesus Christ:

“In the day [of Judgement] when God [the Father] shall judge the secrets of [Christian] men [and women] by Jesus Christ ACCORDING TO MY GOSPEL.” (Romans 2:16; KJV)

“But they [meaning most of today’s Christians] HAVE NOT ALL OBEYED THE [Apostle Paul’s] GOSPEL. For Esaias [Isaiah 53:1] saith, Lord, who [amongst Your people] hath believed our report [that I have presented here]?” (Romans 10:16 KJV)

“O FOOLISH GALATIANS, who hath BEWITCHED [i.e. to deceive and lead astray] you, THAT YE SHOULD NOT OBEY THE TRUTH..? (Galatians 3:1)

Invitation

I have produced a detailed Bible study that explains what Paul's Gospel represents in practical terms. I firmly believe ALL Christians must attain to the requirements mentioned in it if they hope to be "ACCOUNTED WORTHY" of entering Heaven's gates when their time arrives:

• Paul was anointed by Jesus Christ to become the Apostle to the Gentiles:
  
  “For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I AM THE APOSTLE OF THE GENTILES...”  (Romans 11:13)
  

• Paul’s Gospel contains a “MYSTERY” that every Christian is required to know and implement throughout their Christian life on Earth:
  
  “Now to him [i.e. Jesus Christ] that is of [the] power TO [E]STABLISH YOU [worthy of entry into Heaven] ACCORDING TO MY GOSPEL, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, ACCORDING TO THE REVELATION OF THE MYSTERY, which was kept secret since the world began,”  (Romans 16:25)
  
  “How that BY REVELATION he [i.e. Jesus Christ] made known unto me [i.e. Paul] THE MYSTERY...” (Ephesians 3:3)

The Bible indicates that both God the Father and Jesus Christ will use Paul's Gospel as their 'standard' (or necessary qualification) to determine if each Christian has obeyed Paul's Gospel or not.  The result will determine those who are worthy to enter into Heaven after their death (or at the Rapture), and those who have forfeited their Salvation.

"In the day [of Judgement] when God [the Father] shall judge the secrets of [Christian] men [and women for their OBEDIENCE] by Jesus Christ ACCORDING TO MY GOSPEL."  (Romans 2:16)

“But THEY [meaning today’s Christians] HAVE NOT ALL OBEYED THE [Apostle Paul’s] GOSPEL. For Esaias [Isaiah 53:1] saith, Lord, WHO HATH BELIEVED OUR REPORT?”  (Romans 10:16)

“…WORK OUT your own salvation with FEAR and TREMBLING [that Satan may rob you of it]” (Philippians 2:12)

Many Christians today only “believe in faith” and accept the Gospel of Jesus Christ as being sufficient for Salvation on the following basis:

“For [it is] by GRACE are ye SAVED through FAITH; and that not of yourselves: it is the [FREE] gift of God:  9 NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast.”  (Ephesians 2:8-9).

"And ...whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved."  (Acts 2:21)

“He that BELIEVETH [in Jesus] and is BAPTISED [in water] shall be SAVED; but he that believeth not shall be damned.” (Mark 16:16)

On the contrary, Jesus Christ has determined that His Gospel (Ephesians 2:8-9; Acts 2:21; Mark 16:16) is to be placed as "BAIT" on every Christian's fishing line when evangelising the unsaved sinners of this world:

However, I have discovered that most Christians are unaware that:

• Jesus Christ chose Saul of Tarsus (Acts 9:4-6) to become "...His chosen vessel" (Acts 9:15) in which to preach Christ's new Gospel to the Gentiles.
  

• The Gospel that Christ gave Paul to preach, Paul termed it "My Gospel" as stated in Romans 2:16; 16:25 and 2 Timothy 2:8.
  

• Paul’s Gospel contains a “mystery” that every Christian is required to know and implement in their life (Ephesians 6:19).
  

• Paul’s Gospel will be used by both God the Father and Jesus Christ to determine whether each Christian has OBEYED IT or not (Romans 10:16). 
  

• Each Christian's OBEDIENCE towards Paul’s Gospel will be the criteria used to determine if he or she is worthy to enter into Heaven after their death, or at the Rapture (Romans 2:16; Romans 10:16).
  

• I have discovered that when God had given specific commands to prophets like Isaiah, Jesus Christ and the Apostle Paul – that when they shared their teachings to God's people of the day, they each bemoaned to God the Father, “...Lord, who hath believed our report”:
  — Isaiah (Isaiah 53:1)
  — Jesus (John 12:38)
  — Paul (Romans 10:16)
  I can say these same words as these great men did in my sharing of the Apostle Paul’s Gospel with many people within the Christian community.
  

• The writer of Hebrews states in Hebrews 12:1 that God requires every Christian to "...RUN with patience the RACE God has set before them".
  
  How many Christians today understand what this “RACE” represents, and are capable of "patiently enduring it" so as to reach the 'Finish Line'?

Given the serious requirements the Apostle Paul's Gospel places upon Christians — together with its significant role in one's eternal Salvation, I believe Christians should take the few minutes needed to view this video, followed by studying my explanation of what the "Mystery" represents in Paul's Gospel.

“…RUN with patience THE RACE THAT IS SET BEFORE US, ² Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith…”

Jesus also stated that as a man intended to build a tower - and as a king decided to wage war against another king - it is necessary to first “…COUNT THE COST” to determine if one has sufficient resources to complete the task. So it is with Salvation - or, “FINAL Salvation”:

The message from Jesus Christ in this chapter of the Bible is that EVERY CHRISTIAN MUST BECOME A DISCIPLE OF HIS. This is a mandatory requirement for obtaining Eternal Salvation.

This video identifies many of the CONDITIONS that must be met in this life for Christians to spend eternity with God in the next life.

"...and let us RUN with patience THE RACE THAT IS SET BEFORE US, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith..."

God requires every Christian to embark on a spiritual journey that the Bible associates with a race.

In this, it has both a Start and a Finish Line.

God expects every Christian to prepare for their race - and once baptised in water, take their FREE GIFT of Salvation (Romans 5:15-18) throughout their journey, to be rewarded with the promises associated with Salvation - once the Finish Line is crossed.

In this, He said:

“If ye love me, keep my commandments.” (John 14:15)

The above verse could also be interpreted as saying:

“If ye [really and sincerely] love me [as you claim you do, then], keep [or OBEY each of] my commandments.” (John 14:15)

Recently I discovered the following Ten Commandments of Jesus that are expressed in the form of ‘negative commandments’. In this, they are presented as WARNINGS from Jesus for every Christian to take notice.  As an example, one warning in John 3:5 ends by saying—they “…CANNOT ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD”.

Therefore, it appears the TEN COMMANDMENTS that Jesus requires Christians to obey are:

1. Christians MUST BE PREPARED TO BE HATED AND PERSECUTED Matthew 10:22 and Matthew 5:11.
   

2. Christians MUST FIRST COUNT THE COST OF THEIR SALVATION
   Luke 14:28
   

3. Christians MUST STOP SINNING!
   Luke 13:2-5
   

4. Christians MUST BECOME “BORN-AGAIN”!
   John 3:5
   

5. Christians MUST BECOME A DISCIPLE OF JESUS CHRIST
   Luke 14:26
   

6. Christians MUST BE DETERMINED TO DO GOD’S WILL
   Matt.12:50
   

7. Christians MUST PERFORM THE SAME WORKS THAT JESUS CHRIST DID!
   John 14:12
   

8. Christians MUST BRING FORTH SPIRITUAL FRUIT UNTO GOD THE FATHER!
   John 15:1-2
   

9. Christians MUST BECOME “MERCIFUL”!
   Luke 6:36
   

10. Christians MUST BECOME PERFECT
    Matt 5:48

“…write them upon the table of thine heart.”  (Proverbs 7:3)

The following notes help explain these requirements

Conditional Salvation

Jesus Christ mentions a number of CONDITIONS (or warnings) that EVERY CHRISTIAN must meet if he or she sincerely expects to enter into Heaven at their death.  Naturally, there are extreme circumstances where these do not exist—especially where (say) a nurse witnesses Jesus Christ to a patient on a hospital trolley awaiting surgery and he accepts Christ as his Saviour before dying on the operating table. This represents a parallel situation to the Thief on the Cross with Jesus (Luke 23:42-43).

However, most Christians today have been attending churches for many years.  This message is focussed upon this group of Christians.

Therefore, the STRICT CONDITIONS required for Salvation as stated by Jesus are explained in detail below.

1. Being HATED and PERSECUTED for Christ’s sake.

True Christianity is NOT about being well liked or even tolerated among family, friends or even others in your church.  In this, Jesus said in Matthew 10:34-36 below:

"Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I CAME NOT TO SEND PEACE, BUT A SWORD. {35} For I am come to set a [Christian] MAN AT VARIANCE [or in opposition] AGAINST HIS FATHER, and THE DAUGHTER AGAINST HER MOTHER, and THE DAUGHTER IN LAW AGAINST HER MOTHER IN LAW. {36} And A MAN'S FOES [meaning, his worst enemies] shall be they OF HIS OWN HOUSEHOLD." (Matt. 10:34-36)

“Blessed are they [the ‘born-again’ Christians] which are PERSECUTED for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are ye, when [other Christian] MEN SHALL REVILE YOU [as a legalist, a heretic, etc.], and PERSECUTE YOU [for what you quote from the Bible], and shall SAY ALL MANNER OF EVIL AGAINST YOU FALSELY, FOR MY [Christ's] SAKE. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.” (Matt. 5:10-12)

If you listen to my testimony podcast and especially read my eBook titled, ‘The Hitchhiker’s Guide Through the Churches’, you will see how this rejection happened to me with my family members and also from among many other Christians.

On the contrary, if Christians prefer to place the love of family members above that of loving Jesus Christ, Jesus has plainly stated below that such Christians have NO Salvation!

"He that loveth FATHER or MOTHER more than me IS NOT WORTHY OF ME: and he that loveth SON or DAUGHTER more than me IS NOT WORTHY OF ME." (Matt. 10:37)

2. COUNTING the COST of SALVATION:

In this next of Jesus Christ’s Ten Commandments, Jesus illustrated this warning in His parable found in Luke 14:28-33.

In this, Jesus spoke of a king contemplating going to war and of a man considering building a tower—both of whom failed to COUNT THE COST if they failed in their endeavours, prior to implementing their plans. 

Jesus related the failures of these men to be similar for Christians. In this, He requires Christians to diligently COUNT THE COST of becoming a Disciple of Jesus Christ.  If Christians fail to become a true disciple of Christ, Jesus illustrated it this way:

“...Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation [i.e. Initial Salvation], and is NOT ABLE TO FINISH IT [i.e. Final Salvation], all that behold it BEGIN TO MOCK HIM, 30 Saying, This man began to build, AND WAS NOT ABLE TO FINISH.” (Luke 14:28-29).

Therefore, if Christians fail to place their love of family members lower than that of loving and obeying Jesus Christ in their life; this means they have NO Salvation!  

Similarly, if Christians fail to take up the cross (or ‘burden’) that Christ has for each Christian AND he or she fails to follow Him wherever He leads them to in the next phase of their life, this means they have NO Salvation

3. Christians MUST STOP SINNING!

Achieving the state of SINLESSNESS in the same manner as both God and Christ are sinless is vital. In this, Jesus says:

“And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans WERE SINNERS ABOVE ALL THE GALILAEANS, because they suffered such things? 3 I tell you, NAY [emphatically NO!!]: but, except ye [meaning the least of sinners completely STOP SINNING and] REPENT [from every future sin Satan tempts you to commit], YE SHALL ALL LIKEWISE PERISH [in Hell]. 4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, THINK YE THAT THEY WERE SINNERS ABOVE ALL MEN THAT DWELT IN JERUSALEM? 5 I tell you, NAY: but, EXCEPT YE REPENT, YE SHALL ALL LIKEWISE PERISH [in Hell].” (Luke 13:2-5)

The Apostle John later explained how truly ‘born-again’ Christians refuse to be enticed into committing sinful acts AFTER their New Birth.  In this he said in 1 John 2:1; 1 John 3:6 and especially 1 John 3:9 paraphrased below:

“Whosoever is [truly] born [again] of God [this means that he or she] DOTH NOT COMMIT SIN; for his seed [from their new spirit that he or she received in accordance with Ezek 36:26 at their New Birth] remaineth in him [which reminds him or her that any act of sin indicates their spiritual father is the Devil]: [therefore] HE [or she] CANNOT SIN, because they are [truly] born [again] of God [the Father].” (1 John 3:9)

Another commandment is that Christians MUST BECOME HOLY as God is holy (1 Peter 1:16). A Christian cannot be holy and be spiritually “…dead in trespasses and sins” (Eph. 2:1) at the same time. 

Therefore, it must be appreciated that ALL sinners (whether Christian or otherwise) will spend eternity in Hell.

4.  Christians MUST BECOME “BORN-AGAIN”!

Jesus said that if a Christian is NOT truly “born-again”, that he or she CANNOT ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD.  This is plainly stated in John 3:5 below: 

“Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man [or a woman] be born of [the] water [of the word— Eph 5:26] and of the Spirit [baptism – Matt 3:11], HE [or she] CANNOT ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD.”

The Jewish Pharisee named Nicodemus realised from the words of Jesus that an actual birth was necessary by his words, when he said:

“Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born [again]?” (John 3:4)

Therefore, unless the Christian has experienced an actual birth whereby they have received a NEW HEART and a NEW SPIRIT  from God (Ezek 36:26) that has resulted in him or her becoming a NEW CREATURE IN CHRIST (2 Cor. 5:17], such an individual has probably not been truly “born-again”. I explained what my “new-birth” experience was like in my podcast testimony.

To confirm these claims, Jesus said,

“MARVEL NOT [meaning, don’t be astonished] that I said unto thee, YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN.”  (John 3:7) 

Unless this ESSENTIAL CONDITION for Salvation is met, this means there is NO Salvation.

5. Becoming a DISCIPLE OF JESUS CHRIST

In this next of Jesus Christ’s Ten Commandments, Jesus commanded Christians:

“If any man come to me, and hate not [meaning, love less than Christ] his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren [meaning brothers], and sisters, yea, and his own life also, HE CANNOT BE MY DISCIPLE.” (Luke 14:26) “And whosoever doth not BEAR HIS CROSS, and COME AFTER ME, CANNOT BE MY DISCIPLE.” (Luke 14:27) “So likewise, whosoever he be of you that FORSAKETH NOT ALL THAT HE HATH, HE CANNOT BE MY DISCIPLE." (Luke 14:33)

In summary then, Jesus plainly states that Christians are obligated to:

• LOVE LESS THAN CHRIST his or her father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren (brothers), and sisters, yea, and his own life also;

• BARE THEIR CROSS for the remainder of their life on Earth;

• FOLLOW after Jesus as being one of His ‘sheep’ (John 10:27)

• FORSAKE ALL [or abandon everything] THAT HE HATH (Luke 18:22) to obtain eternal life with Christ.

The foregoing verses are very clear that being a committed disciple of Jesus Christ is mandatory for obtaining eternal life with Christ.

6. Be determined to DO God’s Will!

Biblical Christianity is NOT about becoming a member of a church congregation, but becoming a member of the family of God in Heaven.  This means if we comply with Christ’s commandments, we become “sons and daughters of God” (2 Cor. 6:18), as stated by Jesus below:

“For whosoever shall do THE WILL of my Father which is in heaven, the same is MY BROTHER, and [my] SISTER, and [my] MOTHER." (Matt.12:50)

Herein lies the difficulty for many Christians today, which is—how can one actually KNOW what God’s will is to undertake and complete each and every day?

“Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. 17 IF ANY MAN WILL DO HIS [God the Father's] WILL, he shall know of THE DOCTRINE, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.” (John 7:16-18)

If Christians don’t know what God’s “DOCTRINE” is or what God’s will is for them—and they fail to do His will, how can they be considered a member of God’s family in Heaven? 

The point here is that if Christians fail to do God’s will, Jesus implies in Matt.12:50 that such Christians have NO Salvation!

7. Performing the SAME WORKS that Jesus Christ did!

In this next of Jesus Christ’s Ten Commandments, Jesus said that certain “signs” would be performed by Christians who were also “sons of God” like Him through the ‘New Birth’. These Christians are those who had been ‘born’ into God’s kingdom through the Apostle Paul’s Gospel (Romans 2:16; 16:25; 2 Tim 2:8). 

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, THEY ARE THE SONS OF GOD.” (Rom. 8:14)

In this Jesus said:

“And THESE SIGNS SHALL FOLLOW THEM THAT BELIEVE [in Me]; In my name shall they:

• cast out devils; they shall

• speak with new tongues; 18 They shall

• take up serpents; and if they

• drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall

• lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” (Mark 16:17-18)

In regards to doing the “WORKS” that Christians have been created to do through the “New Birth” as mentioned in Eph. 2:10, Jesus said the following words:

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, THE WORKS THAT I DO SHALL HE DO ALSO; and GREATER WORKS THAN THESE SHALL HE DO; because I go unto my Father.” (John 14:12)

Some of these other “works” relating to healing are:

"The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them." (Matt 11.5-6)

Therefore, if Christians cannot demonstrate in their lifetime, any of the abovementioned “WORKS” that Jesus Christ did, this means they have NO Salvation, as confirmed by the Apostle James:

“17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead [faith], being alone...20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without [the accompanying] works [of faith] is dead [faith]?... 24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and NOT by faith only...26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” (James 2: 17, 20, 24 and 26)

8. Bringing forth SPIRITUAL FRUIT unto God the Father!

In this next of Jesus Christ’s Ten Commandments, Jesus illustrated this very significant warning to all Christians:

“I [Jesus] AM THE TRUE VINE, and MY FATHER IS THE HUSBANDMAN [or the Gardener]. 2 EVERY BRANCH [or every Christian grafted] IN ME [at Salvation] THAT BEARETH NOT [any of the required spiritual] FRUIT, HE [meaning God the Father] TAKETH AWAY [such branches for later burning in the Lake of Fire—John 15:6]: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth [or prunes] it [back], THAT IT MAY BRING FORTH MORE FRUIT.” (John 15:1-2) “If a [Christian] man ABIDE NOT IN ME, [or My words] he is cast forth [from Christ] as a [fruitless] branch, and [it] is [become spiritually] withered; and men [or angels later] gather them, and cast them into the [Lake of] fire, and they are burned.” (John 15:6)—Jesus speaking.

In Christ’s parable of The Sower and the Seed in Matthew 13:18-23, Jesus says clearly that Christians are expected to bring forth “fruit” unto God.  Any failure to produce the required “fruit” is not tolerated by God:

“He [the Christian] also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and HE BECOMETH UNFRUITFUL.” (Matt. 13:22)

However, Christians who have the right type of spiritual “soil” within their hearts, these are able to produce the required quantity of “fruit” from the “seed” sown, as stated by Jesus:

“But HE THAT RECEIVED SEED INTO THE GOOD GROUND [or soil within his heart] is he that HEARETH THE WORD, and UNDERSTANDETH IT; which also BEARETH FRUIT, and bringeth forth, some an HUNDREDFOLD, some SIXTY, some THIRTY.” (Matt. 13:23)

Jesus also spoke another parable of the landowner in Luke 13:6-9 who had a fruitless tree growing in his garden.  In this, the landowner came seeking “fruit” on it during the first three-years and found none.  After the gardener appealed to give it more time before removing it from the garden, the gardener said he would fertilise and aerate the soil to ensure it had the best conditions to produce fruit in the fourth year.  The landowner agreed.  However, if no fruit was produced within that final year, the tree (meaning, the Christian) was to be removed from the garden (meaning, God’s kingdom).

From the above illustrations in these parables by Jesus in John 15:1-8 and Luke 13:6-9, this indicates that all ‘fruitless’ Christians have NO Salvation!

9. Christians MUST BE “MERCIFUL”!

In this next of Jesus Christ’s Ten Commandments, Jesus commands Christians to demonstrate “mercy” to others, in much the same way as God the Father does.

“BE YE THEREFORE MERCIFUL, as your Father [which is in Heaven] also is merciful.” (Luke 6:36)

If you as a Christian LOVE the Biblical JESUS, you MUST extend the same level of mercy towards others in exactly the same manner that God the Father extends His mercy to you and to others. I class this commandment from Jesus as a MANDATORY OBLIGATION that all Christians must meet to obtain Salvation.

10. Christians MUST BECOME PERFECT: 

In this, Jesus commanded Christians to:

“BE YE THEREFORE PERFECT, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.” (Matt 5:48)

Other writers in the epistles also reaffirmed this message:

“Therefore leaving [behind as maturing Christians] the [basic] principles of the doctrine of Christ, LET US GO ON UNTO PERFECTION...” (Heb. 6:1) “...Whom we preach, WARNING EVERY MAN, and TEACHING EVERY MAN in all wisdom; that we may present every man PERFECT in Christ Jesus” (Col. 1:28)

Becoming PERFECT is another commandment of Jesus to ALL Christians.  If you LOVE JESUS, you MUST therefore endeavour to become PERFECT before God.  If PERFECTION is not achieved in the Christian’s life, then such Christians have NO Salvation!

Therefore, the above 10 CONDITIONS are essential for Christians to obtain Salvation based upon this general warning from God:

"Behold therefore the GOODNESS and SEVERITY of God: on them [the Old Testament Jews] which fell, SEVERITY; but toward thee, GOODNESS, IF thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off." (Rom. 11:22)

Despite the lateness of the ‘last days’ we are living in, together with the huge degree of deception that has been around in the churches for more than a century, I believe God still extends His grace to anyone reading the above CONDITIONS and chooses to repent.
