Prelude With the recent social movements asking for support of the causes of the Black Lives Matter (archive), a handful of my close friends asked me for how can help to the cause.
I have an idea on how you can help as a techie non-black PoC1.
The problem You can call it cognitive bias, but I’ve notice persons sending the same proposal at multiple conferences around the world, and I want to be perfectly clear: there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Microsoft's Acquisition List

Context Back in June 2018 I posted a tweet, half joking:
The above tweet mention a ’leaked list’ of companies that Microsoft would be willing to buy:
LinkedIn Github NPM Docker Inc. Stackoverflow Travis CI RedisLabs Elastic.co It was triggered by the acquisition of Github that same day in June 4, 2018. That was a US $7,500,000,000 dollars deal. Not bad. Not bad at all.
I was trying to make a point: what would be next steps for a company with the political and financial power like Microsoft to dominate the technology ecosystem again1?

Prelude One day of September I learnt about Firefox Private Network, as one of the Firefox fan I took the decision of use it for a while and also document what it is, and what are the good and bad things about it. I will be taking different perspectives: as a user and also as an engineer who’s looking for a better and more secure internet.
This writing may have a lot of bias because my affinity to Mozilla, and my neutral view about Cloudflare, Mozilla’s partner in this project.
