Part 2 of The Anti-Oholibamah Effect

It occurred to me that by writing several posts about future President Donald Trump, I needed to set some parameters explaining why it is necessary to cover this subject in detail from and End of Days perspective.  Many people might be mistaken that these are political posts in support of the President elect.  These posts are not rah rah rah posts for the President elect even though with his appointment of David Friedman to be America's Ambassador to Israel, there is a new desire to tell Donald Trump Yashar Koach!  This is what Friedman has been quoted as saying, and all I can say is WOW!

Are J Street supporters really as bad as kapos? The answer, actually, is NO. THEY ARE FAR WORSE THAN KAPOS – Jews who turned in their fellow Jews in the Nazi death camps. The kapos faced extraordinary cruelty and who knows what any of us would have done under those circumstances to save a loved one? But J Street? They are just smug advocates of Israel’s destruction delivered from the comfort of their secure American sofas – it’s hard to imagine anyone worse.

This is a spectacular and revolutionary nomination.  No wonder why HaAretz is in a full panic about this guy.  Wow.  The Swedish meatball,  Foreign Minister Margot Wallstrom, is going to have a fit with this guy coming in.  So will Obama.  It is "Man (or Woman) the Defenses of Imposed Solutions from the UN time on Israel beyond the Green Line" at the United Nations Security Council before Trump is inaugurated!  It is appearing more and more that the Swedish meatball is going to take matters into her own hand with the blessing of her PM Stefan Lofven.  Not only is Sweden one of the five incoming two year members of the Security Council on January 1st, 2017, G-d has seen to it that Sweden has the Presidency of the Sec. Council during those critical 19 days when Obama is still POTUS in January (Tevet 5777) when all the Global fun to divide Yerushalayim and Eretz Yisrael seems poised to begin.  Tevet has always been the designated month to begin the final nine months of Olam HaZeh.  It is a tradition passed down from our Nevi'im that the nine months (271 days) must begin in Tevet in a year with one Adar in order to end on the First Day of Sukkot.  I was told this by a great tzaddik and end of days aficionado in his own right, Dr. Ya'akov Tabak formerly of Ramot zt"l before he passed away a few short years ago.  And all we must ask is, " Now that the nations of the world all have majority populations below the 49th level of impurity (2/3rds of Mankind), is this ready to happen in its time?"  Mind you, not because we deserve it in our own right by any great collective merit.  We have a Knesset here that can't stop the Sodomite urge to destroy yishuvim by the Supreme Court here.  From the PM down they are incapable of putting their foot down to stop great internal Evil.  The Final Solution to the problem of Evil is beyond the scope of their brains.  Netanyahu has a big brain, but he is not capable of calling the Supreme Court EVIL.  So G-d it seems has to take matters into His own Hands.  So we here in Israel are hanging on at -49 simply because our Rabbanim won't marry homosexual men and give them marriage certificates when all of Malkhut Edom considers granting those certificates as sign of enlightenment of Western Civilization.  So we are at -49, and they are at -50.  You can't get a less meritorious generation than that, but guess what?  They beat us to the sewer! So we should celebrate that when Sodom, Sweden proposes their resolution in the UNSC.  At least for the next nine months starting in Tevet, we won't be suffering because our enemies have more merit than we do.  Lo and behold they have no merit whatsoever!  That was decided on Shavuot night at Alot HaShachar when Sefirat HaOmar Mateen became the 50th dead body in that homosexual bar in Orlando.  This Decree of the World being at -50 was then signed and sealed and sent into the physical world during the Tishrei Holy Day season of Tishrei 5777.  And it entered the physical bri'ah as a day to day fact on the 7th of Cheshvan, as it always does every year, but this year the 7th of Cheshvan was American election day!  And from that day, Zayin Cheshvan 5777, we got Donald Trump to ponder about the hidden miracle of his victory as if a new page had been turned on a new Era.  

So here is my response to a comment about Donald Trump on the previous post.  This is necessary to understand that the purpose of the Trump Presidency is NOT to save us here in Israel.  It is not even to save America since a majority of Americans actually voted for Trump's opponent and still think that Obama is doing a fine job.  Those people are for the most part reprobates who are beyond the point from where they can be redeemed at all.  Yet, a portion of them can be brought back as Ba'alei Teshuvah in the right way of being a Baal Teshuvah, unattached to the religion of Yoshke.  Those seem to be the souls that G-d Himself is aiming to extract from the flames of Gehinnom as the Ship of Mankind in Olam HaZeh goes down the tubes:

 As any reader of this blog knows, I have major issues with Trump also. But apparently HaShem wants someone who is not a Xtian but who has tremendous potential for doing teshuvah for Esav Soneh et Yaakov (the halakhah that Esav hates Ya'akov) as a Noachide and not as a Xtian. There is now a reasonably large minority of Americans who would follow this path as a Noachide, but who are as of right now languishing below Mem Tet Sha'arei Tumah themselves. If Ted Cruz had been elected, we would have better certainty about his moral pro-Israel philosophy, but as a Xtian, he could not lead a large number of Americans, representing the middle third of the culture, in teshuvah, that is those Americans who had become estranged from Xtianity. With Trump teshuvah is possible 

1. without the p'gam of believing in a triune god with G-d at the helm, 
2. from a very low level of leading a personally morally debased lifestyle that America as a whole had sunk into over the course of the last 50 years since the Summer of 1967, and 
3. as a Noachide not as a Xtian. 

Any end of days scenario for teshuvah has to include a rejection of Xtianity even if it is the face of a very pro-undivided Israel philo-Semitic variety. Xtianity has three major issues that won't exist in the Messianic Era. 

1. Any scent of G-d not being One will be eliminated from true spirituality. "HaShem shall be One and His Name will be One." Nowhere does it say that His Name will be Three.

2. The idea that our acts are so dirty that we can't be "saved" because of our deeds (which are dirty rags):  That idea will be placed in the dustbin of history. It is simply utterly false and untrue. Our Avot were totally human and were judged by both their Deeds and their Faith, and G-d always takes into account our extenuating circumstances when He judges us. As Ya'akov said in this week's parshah, "I have fallen short of all the Chassadim and all the Emeth that You have done for your servant." This includes G-d's undeserved lovingkindness for Ya'akov AND His reward for Ya'akov's good deeds, rooted in Emeth which includes taking into account Ya'akov's extenuating circumstances. And even when we fall short by NOT choosing the best possible choice available to us at any time during any situation, teshuvah is always possible even without korbanot. Korbanot DO make the teshuvah more complete by "cleaning up" the damage done to the physical world because of our sins, but one can most definitely repent even without korbanot and a Temple to offer korbanot.  

The extra aspect of teshuvah that korbonot offer is the opportunity to eliminate from the Bri'ah the Cheshbon of Sin on the Creation itself, the damage done to the physical world because of our sins.  When we do Vidui, we remove the stain of sin from our bodies if Vidui is preceded by proper teshuvah of the neshamah and the nefesh behamit, but just by doing Vidui, the stain of the sin remains on the Creation at large even if we remove it from our bodies.  Korbonot, with the proper service of collecting, transporting, and applying the blood, when re-instituted will remove that spiritual stain on the physical world at large.  Until then the negative effects of sin build up in the Creation, and every 300 years brings about a Churban, the last one being the Shoah.  This ends with the rebuilt Temple and the re-institution of Korbanot.   Notice that adding 300 years to the last Churban in 5700 takes us already to the year 6000.  So that one was the last one.

3. The purpose of serving G-d is NOT to accrue award in Olam HaZeh. The attachments that we form with Him in this World through Torah, mitzvot, and Good deeds are integral to building that relationship with Him for the World to Come. In this way Trump's potential for teshuvah is great in a multi-faceted, variety of ways, not just in regards to Esav's policy of dividing the Land of Israel as he did during the Gog Sr. and Gog ben Gog Jr. Administrations. Yet, the discomfort with Trump is there because unlike someone like Ted Cruz who has a well established positive moral philosophy for himself and for his country, Donald Trump does not YET have one. The Teshuvah has NOT YET been done. So we are uncomfortable with where he is morally holding right now or where he was holding during the campaign and unsure that he will improve in the ways that we hope that he improves. 

This is important:  In the end our Geulah here in Israel is NOT dependent on Donald Trump's teshuvah, but tens of millions of Americans could potentially be brought into full Noachide teshuvah as a minority of America's population, and G-d wants to populate the Messianic Era with righteous gentiles, not just with Torah observant Jews. 

Now you can begin to understand the reason for discussing these matters of President elect Trump.

The Anti- O (holi) bamah Effect and the Salvaging of Esav's Head from the River Pishon, Part 1

We are now in the middle of the trio of Ya'akov Avinu's parshiyot about the meat and potatoes of his life of Emeth (Toldot, VaYeitzei, and VaYishlach (Bereishit 25:19 - Bereishit 36)) before the central focus of the Torah switches to the fate of Yosef, Yehudah, and his other ten sons, one daughter, and ultimately his 70 descendants who descend into Mitzraim for a 210 year Galut and a 250 year absence from Eretz Yisrael.  In this post I will be referring to Rav Mendel Kessin Shlit"a's drashot about Donald Trump and other matters dealing with Esav.  He has really been speaking in depth about Esav from a hashkafic perspective on tapes and videos that I have been listening to now for almost 25 years.  So his hashkafic analysis of Donald Trump's "miraculous" victory is only the subject matter of some of his most recent videos on Youtube.  As a review, Rav Kessin has always taught as long as I can remember that Esav was supposed to attain spiritual greatness by resisting and destroying Evil in the World.  As Ya'akov's twin brother his mission in the world was supposed to be fraternally "twinned" with what Ya'akov was supposed to accomplish.  Ya'akov was supposed to imbue the universe with sanctity and goodness through keeping G-d's commandments of Infusing sanctity into the World.  Since Goodness or Human Decency, imbued with knowledge of already revealed sanctity, is incumbent on all Mankind (not just on the descendants of Ya'akov), I won't say here that Ya'akov is unique in being commanded in being good and decent.  Mankind whether he/she knows it or not (and apparently few humans even know it), is commanded in this.  Yet, the descendants of Ya'akov ARE commanded in revealing the hidden sanctity that exists in the world for the purpose of perfecting it.  This is unique to the role of Ya'akov's descendants throughout history.  Esav though was supposed to fulfill another unique role that originally was not supposed to be Ya'akov's chief concern.  He WAS SUPPOSED to ultimately defeat Evil in the world, vanquishing it to the dustbin of human history.  But lo and behold, not only did he fail to take on that mantle and to engage in that mission, he succumbed to Evil in his own life and became the Chief perpetrator of doing Evil and engaging others in his evil causes and evil spiritual projects.  So because he succumbed to the "dark side" (the sitra achra), Ya'akov was given the added stress and burden of taking on Esav's job which according to the gematriah of Esav's name (376) and Ya'akov's name spelled with a Vav (188) was twice as hard as Ya'akov's role in history could ever be!  Taking on the bad guys involves the spilling of the blood of the wicked.  Going to war against the wicked is emotionally, spiritually, and physically much more taxing than not eating treif food, keeping Shabbat, and shaking the lulav and etrog on Sukkot.... as laudable and important as those mitzvot are!

Knowing that Ya'akov was already taxed to the hilt doing his difficult role in human history, HaShem had Rachmanut on him personally and gave him a son, Yosef, who would take on the mantle of destroying Evil in the world along with destroying and obliterating Esav's grandchild Amaleq who took on the mantle of leading the world toward the Abyss.  Amaleq was the the son of Esav's firstborn son Eliphaz who also fathered his future concubine Timna who gave birth to Amaleq by having and an adulterous affair with Se'ir the Horite's wife.  Timna was born form Se'ir the Horite's sexually twisted wife, and several years later this mamzeret becomes Eliphaz's concubine in addition to already being his daughter.  She then gives birth to Amaleq.  You can't get more twisted than that.  From Bereishit 36:  If you read Rashi, Seir the Horite's wife was pretty busy engaging in several adulterous, incestuous relations with other men apparently over the course of several generations.  She was likely born close to the time of the Great Flood and lived a lengthy life as an incestuous and adulterous whore.  I wonder if the word "whore" comes from Hori?  In Bereishit 36:22 we see that Timna was Lotan ben Se'ir's sister, but in First Chronicles 1:36 we see that she is listed as being one of Eliphaz's children in addition to her being his concubine!  As we will soon see, much of the Esav mishpachah was born from zenut and mamzerut (incest and adultery), and in at least one other occasion, this was repeated when the resultant mamzerim have adulterous and incestuous relations over at least two generations.  In the case of Amaleq, he is therefore a mamzer two times over.  His mother was already a mamzeret because she was the product of an adulterous relationship, but Amaleq himself is the product of Eliphaz having relations with his own daughter!  Into this milieu, the Chief protagonist for Evil in the world is born, and it became the job of the Children of Rachel and Osnat bat Potiphara to put a stop to him.  In this context, Binyamin ben Rachel can only partially defeat Amaleq, never quite destroying him at his root.  Only Yosef, who Rav Kessin calls a Chetzi Av, a Half Patriarch, and Ephraim ben Yosef veOsnat  can defeat Amaleq at his root in the world.  The koach to do this seems to at least in part from Yosef and his descendants being impervious to the Evil Eye.  He alone can "stare down Esav whose eyes are Amaleq", and win.

Now delving further into the Rashi, we see that this same pattern of consistent and persistent adultery and incest over several generations happened in one other instance with Esav's Hivite wife Oholibamah, and it serves as a useful lesson to analyze this particular set of circumstances.  For one, both the Hittites and the Hivites were steeped in idolatry, a very common condition in the ancient world.  Believe it or not the Hivites were worse.  While the the Hittites may have been prolific idolaters, they were not known for rampant sexual immorality.  They seem to have kept their family lines pure albeit idolatrous.  The Hivites though seemed to engage in rampant sexual immorality and sexual violence, in the case of Shechem ben Hamur the Hivite raping Dinah, in addition to their rampant idolatry.  So they were, as Canaanite nations go, a lot worse than the Hittites.  At the age of 40 Esav decides to marry because he knew that Yitzchak married at age 40, and Esav was never lax when it came to impressing his father.  So whom does he marry?  From Parshat VaYishlach we see that he marries Adah bat Eilon the Hittite and even worse Oholibamah bat Anah (and) bat Tziv'on the Hivite.  Right away one can spot the problem.  Adah may have been an idolater who offered up incense to avodah zarah, but she at least only had one daddy.  Oholibamah seems to have two daddies!  Well again we return to Rashi to delve into this unholy mess.  And by delving into the mess we can then get a picture of why earlier on in Bereishit 26:34 we read:

  וַיְהִי עֵשָׂו, בֶּן-אַרְבָּעִים שָׁנָה, וַיִּקַּח אִשָּׁה אֶת-יְהוּדִית, בַּת-בְּאֵרִי הַחִתִּי--וְאֶת-בָּשְׂמַת, בַּת-אֵילֹן הַחִתִּי. 34   And when Esau was forty years old, he took to wife Yehudith the daughter of Beeri the Hittite, and Basemath the daughter of Elon the Hittite.

What is Esav talking about?  He married a woman named Oholibamah bat Anah bat Tziv'on the Hivite, and when introducing her to his parents, he completely changed her name, her fathers' names, and her nationality!  And to make matters worse, there is one more detail that made this marriage an Embitterment of Spirit for his parents.  Marrying into Canaan is problematic because unless an individual Canaanite does teshuvah which is definitely and entirely possible, the Canaanite is cursed.  Eliezer from Dameshek (Damascus) is one example where a Canaanite whose nation is from just outside the border of Eretz Yisrael does teshuvah and goes from a status of being cursed to a status of being blessed.  But more of a problem than marrying into a curse is marrying specifically into the 7 Canaanite nations who inhabited Eretz Yisrael as opposed to the 3 Canaanite nations whose land is not in Eretz Yisrael.  If your inheritance is Eretz Yisrael, you cannot marry someone with duel loyalties to the Holy nation and one of the 7 nations who will be displaced when the time comes!  So already Yitzchak and Rivkah are going to be very very upset.  So Esav has to find a way to soften the blow when introducing Oholibamah to his parents.

1. He changes the nationality of his Hivite wife to being the nationality of the less odious Hittites.  That was lie number one.

So getting back to Rashi, what else is Esav trying to hide?  Answer: the particulars about the yichus of his wife Oholibamah the Hivite:  Let us examine.  We see from Bereishit 36:20 we read that Tziv'on and Anah are brothers, both sons of Se'ir the Horite who apparently is a Hivite too.  Yet, just four verses later we read that Tziv'on is Anah's father.  How can this be?  Well remember the resident promiscuous wife (or whore) of Seir?  Well she did the same thing, even worse, even before having a later illicit affair with Eliphaz.  Here she had an incestuous AND adulterous relationship with her own son Tziv'on and bore Anah who is now already a mamzer from this affair.  We then read that Anah, who is born into perverse sin, then mates the unmatable, a male jackass with a female horse to produce mules for his father, meaning in part that it was not enough for his father to do it just once and also meaning that Anah himself was irreparably spiritually damaged goods.  Several years later the same sexual predator Tziv'on is at it again.  This time after his son gets married, the same Tziv'on then has another adulterous and incestuous relationship with his son's wife to give birth to Oholibamah!  So in reality, Oholibamah is not the daughter of Anah at all even though she is the daughter of Anah's wife and her pretend grandfather Tziv'on who is really her father.  And this is whom Esav has to introduce to his parents!  So lies number two and three.  He changes her name and her father's and grandfather's name because of her notorious yichus.   I almost did not include here that several years after the birth of Oholibamah, Eliphaz the son of Adah the Hittite has an adulterous, incestuous relationship with Oholibamah his father's other wife and the daughter of two daddies, to give us Aluf Korach who is listed as both Oholibamah's son (36:5) and Eliphaz's son (36:15-16).  So let us get it out of the way and mention that now.  Incest and adultery run rampant in her family.  So she personally was no exception to this behavior.   And then by the way, Esav engages in lie number 4.

4. He changed Oholibamah's first name to Yehudit because it has three of the four letters of HaShem's name in that name.  So by introducing her as Yehudit, he was pretending that this particular Hittite woman who was really a Hivite had given up on her penchant for Avodah Zarah, and we have already seen that she did not even give up on her penchant for sexual immorality because later on in life she has an adulterous affair with her husband's son from another wife Eliphaz to give birth to her own mamzer.  So no way had Oholibamah done teshuvah for anything.  But there is much much more to this name Yehudit.  Her brother-in-law Yaakov STILL had not given birth to any children when Esav introduces her as Yehudit to his parents.  Ya'akov Avinu was 84 years old when he started fathering children.  Yehudah was likely born when he was 87 years old, for he was the fourth son from the same wife.  That is 47 years after Esav introduces Oholibamah to his parents as Yehudit.  What prophetic insight got into his head to call his wife a Jew (or Yehudit) 47 years BEFORE the word Jew or Yehudi had any meaning whatsoever??  Save that question for later.

Lie number 5.  He renames Oholibamah's pretend father to be Be'eri, meaning "My well".  Esav has already seen from his father's behavior that his father loves unstopping the wells of Esav's grandfather Avraham that the ancient Pelishtim kept stopping up (just to prove that their penchant for being destructive was no less evident that the modern Pelishtim's penchant for destroying things out of hate and spite)....kind of like burning down the country that you supposedly want to inherit.  And in the case of Beer Sheva, Yitzchak even found his own fresh well of water for which he was overjoyed.  So Esav sees that his father has tremendous joy over finding well-water both old and new.  So presto, Oholibamah's father is the source of some deep, deep wisdom like the depth of a well.  That should really impress dear old dad.

My Open Letter to the Residents of Red Haifa

I guess with all of your Arab Muslim neighbors burning your houses down, you won't be celebrating your co-existence (festival) this year. Perhaps you should learn to love your fellow Jews in Samaria just a few miles away. Stop worshiping your World Public Opinion Popularity god which seems to require that you hate Jewish settlers in Samaria as one of the tenets of your avodah. Intrinsically, it is a good thing to have a day recognizing co-existence between Haifa's monotheistic faiths, but not at the expense of the Jews who live in Samaria just a few miles away from you. And we all know that by the way Red Haifans vote, it has come at the expense of the Jews who are in the vanguard of protecting you rear end between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River. Let's not sugar coat that.

Right now I only feel sorry for the Likud, Yisrael Beiteinu, Eli Yishai (including when he was the head of Shas), and Bayit Yehudi voters in your midst. They don't deserve to be suffering right now in order for you to learn some very important lessons on seeking your popularity approval in Europe and abroad. But you are mesirat nefesh for your avodah zarah. I wonder what percentage of you will do teshuvah for worshiping your World Public Opinion Popularity god? Have you taken in a Gush Katif refugee family over he last eleven years after you gleefully served your avodah zarah and shooed them out of their homes in order to be loved by the world at large? ....now that you have been shooed out of your homes too (by the fires)? Hmm.

Sorry, I have been waiting for this day to come for eleven years for the purpose of creating a nation which dwells alone with her G-d, rather than a nation that seeks to be loved by a fallen world. I thought that the 2006 South Lebanon War would do the trick. There was a 5% national shift toward national sanity away from the National Pieces movement after that war. That 5% shift from the Summer of 2006 seems to have held over the years, but still over 1.3 million Jews in this country voted for Tzippy Livni, Buji Herzog, Zehavah GalOn, and Yair Lapid in the last election. So the lesson in 2006 was not strong enough. Will this be strong enough? Are you so mesirat nefest to be loved by Mankind, that you will refuse to change your spots?

Bread and Circuses. G-d Chose Circuses.

It is said that when a formerly great civilization is in its death throes, the elites of that society want to keep the large pampered population happy and satisfied.  Give them Bread and Circuses!  Keep them happy and content with frivolity and gaity as the society's fate hangs by a string over the Abyss.  Bread kept them from pangs of hunger, and the Circuses kept them entertained when the Huns and the Visigoths were at the Gates of Rome clamoring for conquest.  Of course this worked all the way until the bitter end when Rome was eventually sacked by its Germanic conquerors.  It might be hard to look at America having a similar fate.  Unlike Rome it is surrounded by a moat comprising two oceans, a friendly northern neighbor, a warm water gulf to its southeast with a weak link at its southern border.  For that one might think that one just needs a "yuge" wall, and everything will be ok....right?  Actually not.  The global economy is so inter-connected that when it collapses, it will collapse everywhere.  And America is so heterogeneous that the enemies are really inside the Gates of the empire.  So when it collapses, one will have to spend more time protecting oneself from neighbors than and invading horde.  Morally and ethically, the great American Empire is dead.  The nation under G-d only exists in the minds of a minority of nostalgic dreamers while the majority party with wine, women, song, and yes, Sports.  Ever since the financial collapse in 2008 and the 777.7 point drop in the Dow on the 29th of Elul at the end of the previous Shmittah year in 5768 (2008), Central Bankers the world over have taken over as a majority interest in the markets of the Western World.  It is not a free market anymore.  With Zero percent and negative target interest rates going into their ninth year now, the idea of a healthy boisterous free market recovery from the Great Recession and 2008 financial collpase is no more than smoke and mirrors,  So for whatever reason, HaShem has granted the Central Bankers their right to control their Toy (the stock markets of their countries) for the last eight years so that the rich formerly prosperous job creating civilization until the 2008 financial collapse could be given pig's lipstick so that no one complains about hunger pains as the mores and economic engine of this formerly great civilization wither away underneath the surface.  Yet, as we entered the 49th year (Summer of 2015) since the beginning of the "Summer of Love" and promiscuous immorality which started in May/June 1967, HaShem began speaking to us all through the one vehicle besides the stock market which all men (and women) fallen or not seem to pay attention to.... Sports or those Circuses of old that kept people in their decrepit moral state entertained until the bitter end.  The key is to look at the sporting events since May/June of 2015 since it was at that time that we entered the 49th year of Western Civilization's reception of debased impurity.  Because no one pays attention to anything else except money and sports, and because the stock market is rigged by Central Banks, HaShem seems to have taken to getting his message out through Sports for those who are paying attention.  Heck, you can't expect people yucking it up with wine, women, song, and Sports to be giving much heed to a dusty book like the Bible (Tana"kh) and its 2500 to 3000 year old prophets anymore, can we?  When your average American spends a night at a hotel in Dubuque, Iowa, is he more likely to take the Gideon Bible out of the top desk drawer, or is he/she more likely to turn on the cable tv to watch a sporting event on ESPN?  So HaShem knows His target audience, and He wants to tell the formerly greatest G-d centered civilization since Hizkiyahu's Judea what will soon befall it.  So here we go!

1. June 2015 was the beginning of the 49th Summer since and including the Summer of Promiscuous Love/Sex in San Francisco, CA Golden Gate Park in 1967.  It was also in the first/second week of June that Yerushalayim was united in the 6 Day War.  For those paying attention, starting that June one week before Shavuot, Jews were given an opportunity to grow through all 49 levels of purity to arrive at the 50th Gate this past Shavuot, the beginning of the 50th year since the reunification of Yerushalayim.  The 50th physical gate in Yerushalayim is the Golden Gate "Shaar HaRachamim" from the Qidron Valley to the Temple Mount with a direct beeline to the Mount of Olives across the Valley.  "Golden" almost always alludes to 50 or -50 in either direction.  We have now already entered the 50th Gate.  We will be inside that gate until Shavuot 5777 since we entered it between one week before Shavuot until Shavuot 5776.  (Yom Yerushalayim is exactly one week before Shavuot.)  To mark the beginning of the 49th year in June of 2015, American Pharoah, the horse representing America's entrance to the 49th level of impurity, won the Triple Crown in horse racing precisely on that second Shabbat in June at the Belmont Stakes.  Less than two weeks later the US Supreme Ct. forces homosexual marriage certificates on all 50 States including those states like Alabama and Tennessee that wanted to have nothing to do with it.  The main forces pushing for this were leftist Jewish Judges Ruth B. Ginsburg and Elena Kagan.  Also that June, as I remember, the Supreme Ct. ruled that if you are a Jew born in Yerushalayim, you can't have Israel as the country of birth on your birth certificate.  This all occurred about the same time.  So America entered the 49th level with the victory of American Pharoah.  The Gemorrah in Chullin discusses the two things which can totally cut even a gentile nation off from G-d's providential love where He takes into account its previous generation of greatness.  One of those two things is for the legal apparatus of that nation to start granting marriage contracts to homosexual men to sanctify what cannot be sanctified even in the mildest way.  So as America entered the -49th Gate, it was well on its way to setting the stage to fall to -50.  This did correspond with an event here in Israel, the beginning of the Stabafada on Hoshana Rabbah 5776 at the Lion's Gate of Yerushalayim also from the Qidron Valley but into the residential part of the Old City in the mixed Arab/ Jewish Quarter.  (It is the closest of all the other of Yerushalayim's gates both inside the walls and at the entrances to the City to the Golden Gate. One could call the Lion's Gate the Malkhut that is in Malkhut Eastern Gate which would lead to Machane Yehudah once Mashiach shows up and begins to reign.  The present location of Machane Yehudah is to the West because the Mashiach ben Yosef Era that we are in placed most Jewish settlement to the west of the Old City.)

2. next event: the 50th Super Bowl and 49ers Stadium in the Mekabel tumah capital of the world, the same city of San Francisco, California (some write that as Californication).  This was in the first week in February.  Two days later Donald J. Trump won his first Primary in New Hampshire.  From this we see that he was on shlichut to take the middle third of American culture from its station at -49 to -50 over the course of the Primary season with the last primary being in Californication one week prior to Shavuot.  The Denver Bucking Broncos won the Super Bowl because this avodah by Trump would buck the rider on the horse (Esav) backwards, forever destroying his Malkhut.  Previously from 1918 until 1967, the more avant garde leftist third of American culture had fallen through all 49 levels of impurity.  So now it was time for the Middle third to crash through the basement.

3. next event:  The Golden State (-50th Gate) Warriors have the best regular season EVER in the history of professional basketball played anywhere.  I think their regular season record was 73 -9.  Yes, their arena is in the San Francisco Bay Area.  This event took place just to prove the point that Donald Trump succeeded in his shlichut so that by end of the first week in June 2016, 2/3ds of American culture had fallen to -50.

4. next event:  The Golden State Warriors lost in the NBA Championship to the Cleveland, Cavaliers during the First, Second, and Third week of June.  So now that the middle of American culture was at -50, it was time for Donald Trump to be coronated at the Republican National Convention in Middle America, in Cleveland, OH.  But Cleveland was more than just the place.  It represented Kaleivland, the lands in Eretz Yisrael which were specifically designated for yerushah by Moshe Rabbeinu himself while the rest of the Aretz was divided up by the lottery of Yehoshua bin Nun.  So the potential to arrive at +50 BEFORE Yerushalayim arrives at +50, lay in the lands specifically bequeathed to Kaleiv by Moshe Rabbeinu.  Kaleiv's Lands were then partially divided up by Kaleiv himself as he gave part of his land as a yerushah to his son in law Othniel ben Kenaz.  Kenaz was most likely a Kenizite convert, and therefore Othniel himself could not take part in the lottery.  (The Kenizite territories were amongst the three Canaanite nations which did NOT dwell in Eretz Yisrael of the pre-Messianic Era whose borders are outlined in Sefer BaMidbar.  So it was permissible to marry a Kenizite.)  I believe that Kenaz was also Kaleiv's step-father after his father Chur had been previously murdered by the Erev Rav.  The name Kenaz with a Qoof is a completely foreign word to Hebrew.  It only appears as a Hebrew shoresh in Tanakh referring to either one of the ten Canaanite nations or to one of the sons of Eliphaz who was also named Kenaz.  That would make Kaleiv who as only 39 or 40 years old when he spied out the land, Betzalel's uncle.  He is NOT the same Kaleiv who was Chetzron's son and Chur's deceased father although he was likely named after him.  As we entered through the 50th Gate here in Israel, we experienced the sad murders in the Lands of Kaleiv of Hallel Yaffa Ariel zt"l, HY"D of Qiryat Arba and Rav Mikki or Micha'el Mark zt"l, HY"D of the Othniel Yeshivah.   Just before the 17th of Tamuz Trump was coronated in KaleivLand, Ohio which by the way was founded in the 1790s by a General MOSES Cleaveland!  So even the Kaleivland of the New World was founded by Moses!  But by the 17th of Tamuz, this Kaleivland was at -50.  In a continuation of reaching +50 in the Lands of Kaleiv, it took Hallel's mourning father Amichai who is a Kohein to almost immediately draw the connection between the Lands of Kaleiv at +50 and the Temple Mount.  He very well knew the dictum that only when the sun rises in Chevron, can the mourning korban be brought on the Temple Mount because it is in Chevron that we do mitzvot bein Adam leChaveiro lishma at +50.  Yet it is on the Temple Mount where we do mitzvot bein Adam leMakom lishma at +50.  It is why the Avot may have preferred to live in Chevron to perfect their bein Adam leChaveiro midot day in and day out, and only on special occasions did they visit Har HaMoriah to also perfect their bein Adam leMakom.  So right after the Shiva, the Ariel family decided to lead a large group of people to do Aliyat Har HaBayit.  It was at that time that Amichai surreptitiously blesses the Olim with Birket Kohanim while he is ostensibly telling a story about how to do it!

And by the way, right on cue with the win by the Kaleivland Cavaliers in the NBA Championships when Middle America and its culture entered -50 territory, on the night of Tikkun Leil Shavuot Sefirat HaOmar Mateen went into that Gay Bar in Orlando and murdered 49 homosexuals, and at Alot HaShachar he himself became the 50th dead body in that Bar.  Why was Orlando chosen to be the site of this worst terror attack ever on American soil?  We learned about that two days later when that little two year old boy was dragged into the 7 Seas Lagoon at the Grand Floridian Resort at the Magic Kingdom in Disney World by an alligator.  Disney since the mid-1930s has been carefully teaching little tots that the solution to their problems is to rely on Magic (Kishuf) and to seek out the assistance of the local witch.  All of their fantasy movies are rooted in this premise even if their adventure movies are not.  So at least half of all Disney movies from the 1930s onwards appeal to kishuf as a solution to the problems of little children, and I believe this has played a large part in the degeneration of American culture over the decades.  Even the theme opening to the Wonderful World of Disney is to the music of "When You Wish Upon a Star" when Jimminy Cricket is singing to the cosmos (avodat kochavim) that this puppet made of wood may yet live and then we see Tinker Bell from Peter Pan wave her famous wand so that all the little tikes including Peter could fly over those alligators/ or crocodiles to confront Captain Hook and his nasty pirates.  Well it did not work out so well for that two year old boy at the Grand Floridian Resort.  And remember this was within 48 hours of Sefirat HaOmar Matteen's dirty deed at the Pulse Gay Bar to indicate why HaShem in a sense chose Orlando as the place to get out His message.

5. The Fifth event:  Well well well, I actually thought that these Sports messages had come to an end.  But now I see that the Chicago (bear) Cubs have finally made it to the World Series against Kaleivland and its Native Americans for the first time since the end of the LAST WORLD WAR!.  Talk about significance!  Dubiel (Bear Power) is about to go forth to take over the world in the last world war in history, and America is about to fall apart at -50 (because -50 is spiritual quicksand) to be re-apportioned once again amongst its truly native peoples.  Now this can only happen if the other two creatures in Daniel 7 destroy each other.  The Lion with Eagle's wings folk (rugged individualists in Great Britain (the lion) and in the United States(the eagle's wings)) must mutually destroy the Four Headed leopard folks (the New Secular or Greek Order for the entire World) now that the rugged individualists in America and Great Britain are -50.  Now one can begin to understand why Donald Trump and Nigel Farage are kindred spirits.  The architect of Brexit and the one who loves his name in Gold in "Yuge" letters on his towers are the lions with eagles' wings at the end of history, and in both cases the Globalists hate their guts.  Did anyone notice that Billy Bush whose hot mic tape almost ruined Trump's candidacy is both Gog H.W. Bush Sr.'s nephew and Gog ben Gog's first cousin?  Then there is the issue of his first name Billy which is Yiddish for "to bark" because at +50 and at -50, we all have the face of a dog (kaleiv).  So choose your Kaleiv!  Now why would the Bushes be supporting the Arkansas HillyBillies in their third run for the Presidency?  because in this election cycle, the competition is NOT between liberals and conservatives but between rugged individualists/ patriots and Globalists.  So in this cycle, the Bushes want the Clintons to win.  So in both cases in England and in the US, the two philosophical powerhouses of the Galut (the rugged individualists and the NWO Globalists) are well on the way to destroying each other!  And look who is waiting in the wings, Putin the Bear and his allies the Persian Bears!  Go Cubs!  and as America tears itself apart, Kaleivland will disintegrate into the Mouth of the Abyss, Pi Tehom.  And as we find our red heifer, perhaps the Native Americans will find their White Buffalo and will return to their happy hunting grounds of old.  Go Indians!

The Case of NO Merit:  What must be stressed at this point in time is why there seems to have been an interlude since the 3 Weeks (17th of Tamuz to the 9th of Av) where Geulah events have been placed on hold and placed into Suspension.  It is true that when Middle America entered -50 territory just before Shavuot 5776, that America in particular as the world's most exceptional nation ceased to be exceptional, but the nation was still existing in a day to day reality of the Judgement from the previous Tishrei 5776 season (Rosh HaShanah 5776 b'Ruchniyut or spiritually and Hoshana Rabbah 5776 b'Gashmiyut in terms of its physical blessings from on High).  It is one of HaShem's characteristics of Mercy that He only judges the World and its fate once per year during the Month of the Scales in the Fall.  The sign of the TZeDeQ (aka ZoDiaC) has no face because the Judge is the One True Judge where there are no angelic intermediaries during the month of Tishrei.  So even though America was at -50 already by Shavuot, it was still existing off the merit of being at -49 from Tishrei 5776.  With the Tishrei 5777 season behind us, this is no longer the case.  No Prophet Yonah went to the nations of the world over the last several months to get Donald Trump supporters to repent from their rebellious ways.  And as we learn from Sefer Yonah itself, without merit to the nations who are thinking of causing Klal Yisrael harm, they don't have the merit to cause us harm if they themselves have no merit themselves.  It is why Yonah boarded a ship to Tarshish.  He knew that Nineveh was the capital of the Assyrian Empire and that that empire was destined to destroy the Northern Kingdom of Israel.  Yet, the Assyrians would only succeed if they themselves repented of their sins while Klal Yisrael with numerous prophets at our disposal continued to refuse to repent of their sins. So Yonah, at first, adamantly refused to take part in the destruction of his own country.  In his zeal to love his fellow Yisraeli, bain Adam leChaveiro, he tried to shirk his obligation to G-d Himself, bein Adam leMakom.  Yet, upon being successful in G-d's mission to Nineveh after being swallowed by the fish and spat out on dry land, he bitterly asked for G-d to take his life.  How could he face his fellow countrymen in Eretz Yisrael ever again knowing that his prophesy to Nineveh had consigned them to total destruction!!   Well now the world in total has fallen to -50 while Klal Yisrael hangs on at -49 for the last 99 years since the Bolshevik Revolution.  Before the Bolshevik Revolution the majority of the world's Jews were Shomrei Shabbat.  After the Revolution that was no longer the case.  That was the sure sign that a significant number of the world's Jews were falling below -49 in the Fall of that Yovel year 5678 (Fall of 1917).  Observing Shabbat is our "signpost" that we are still in business to perfect the World under G-d's unchallenged rule.  Giving it up is to take the plunge below -49.  Yet, a significant number of the world's Jews still keep Shabbat and give birth to Jewish children.  So that is what counts.  We now outnumber the Bolsheviks who by now don't even have Jewish descendants.  Therefore after 99 years, the nations of the world have beaten us to the sewer.  Send them Congrats for winning that tortoise and the hare style race.  It took 99 years, but it finally has happened.  And in the words of the Gemorrah, we are a generation of NO Merit, but our enemies who want to divide us have even less merit!!  So Baruch HaShem, b'itah, Obama will very likely be going to the UN Sec Council between election day Nov 8th and the tenth of Tevet to divide the Land of Israel and to create Paleostine.  What is interesting is from what exact date does he have zero merit to succeed?  Well calculate thus.  On Rosh HaShanah, Rosh Chodesh Tishrei, along with that judgement being sent into the physical world on Hoshana Rabbah, the 21st of Tishrei, the world is judged for the coming year, BUT the judgement for Rosh Chodesh Tishrei itself is still on the previous year's judgement because each year during Tishrei ten days of repentance out of love and fear and 21 days of repentance out of Lishma Joy are allowed for in each year's judgement.   So the actual process of judgement and repentance takes 21 days from the beginning of Rosh HaShanah to the end of Sukkot, the 7th or last day of that Moed.  So once the judgement has been settled on in both the World to Come and in this world, almost three quarters of the month of Tishrei is already complete.  So the Judgement only goes into effect at that time, BUT while the positive aspects of the Judgement can be accessed right away on the 22nd of Tishrei, the negative aspects must be filtered through and mitigated by the following Rosh Chodesh, Rosh Chodesh MarCheshvan.  Then and only then does the day by day judgement including all of its negative aspects for the new year begin to enter the world.  Yet, for 7 full days from the molad for that month, the Judgement of the New Year is mixed up with the Judgement for the previous month of Tishrei whose seal was placed on it in Tishrei one year ago that is from Tishrei 5776.   So until the 7th of Cheshvan this year, the days of Cheshvan have aspects of the Judgement for both years 5776 and 5777.  Only on Zayin MarCheshvan (7th of Cheshvan) do we begin anew with only the Judgement for 5777 being applied for and against us.  This year Zayin MarCheshvan is American election day (Nov. 8th, 2016).  So when Obama goes to the UN, guess what?  The world that comes to divide the Land of Israel will have NO MERIT to accomplish its task.  Maybe THIS is what HaShem has waited for!?

The Bavarians or the Barbarians Have Breached the Gates of Edom (part 1)

It is 2am.  I could not let this night pass without publishing what could be best described as a small post.  Starting on the 16th of Tamuz a so called German Iranian (or is is Aryan?) has unleashed upon the world a mass murder wave worldwide that has not been seen since WW2.  We mourn the death of the victims who were children of Ali D. Sonboly whether or not he yelled Allahu Akhbar when he gunned down his victims outside of a Munich McDonalds.  But lest we forget we also mourn the death of the one million Jewish children whom Hitler slaughtered, whose slaughter had its nascent beginnings in that very city.  It was so bad this past Saturday, the 17th of Tamuz, that the Mayor of Munich declared a "Day of Mourning".  Hmmm.  And since Saturday, the Gates of Unholy hell have been unleashed upon the Western World: Munich, Ft. Myers, Tokyo, and a bunch of other places in southern Germany.

This is what is going on in the world. HaShem has found the Root of Evil and has unleashed it on the entire world on the 17th of Tamuz!   The Great Beer Hall Putsch that lead to the Writing of Mein Kampf  It is very late.  Good night for now.  

Sha'ar HaNun: The Gateway to the 50th 50th

Yesterday, Shavuot 5776, was the 50th Shavuot since the Unification of Yerushalayim in the 6 Day War.  It was therefore the 50th 50th, beyond the natural count of 7 x 7 =49.  It was a very very special Shavuot.  It is even hinted at in the very name Shavuot.  We all know from the verses in the Holy Torah that the "classic" count to fifty from Pesach is most represented by Pesach actually falling on a Shabbat so that the count for each week ends each week on Shabbat so that Shabbat is the 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th, 35th, 42nd, and finally the 49th days of the Counting of the Omer.  When that happens about 30% of the time when Pesach Seder night does NOT fall on Motzei Shabbat, Monday night, or even Wednesday night, Shavuot 7 weeks and one day later falls on a Motzei Shabbat.  Now as it happened this year and last year, we say a special havdalah when saying kiddush for this one day of YomTov here in Eretz Yisrael, Bein Qodesh leQodesh.  You see, normally when one goes from Shabbat immediately into YomTov we go DOWN  in Qedushah.  We go from a day where we can't cook at all or transfer fire on Shabbat to a day where we can cook and transfer fire on YomTov which fell on Motzei Shabbat.  We go from a day which has 7 Aliyot to the Torah to a day that has only 5 Aliyot to the Torah when YomTov falls on a weekday.  So normally as we traverse the barrier directly from Shabbat to YomTov we descend a bit in Qedushah.  YomTov is still holier than Rosh Chodesh or Chol HaMoed or a regular Motzei Shabbat/ Yom Rishon, but it does not approach the holiness of Shabbat which comes every week at the end of the week.  Yet, how can this be with going from the 7th Shabbat, the 49th day of the Counting of the Omer, to Shavuot (the holy holy 50th day), a day whose greatness and specialness and purity cannot be attained by our natural efforts?  Well, we are a practical people.  We live with what G-d gives us.  In the year of the Exodus, Pesach "Seder" night fell on a Wednesday night.  The Exodus from Egypt was therefore on a Thursday, but since Moshe Rabbeinu was counting days and nights starting that Friday intentionally and not nights then days, he arrived at the 49th day on a Thursday and the 49th night on a Thursday night.  This way the 50th day began on Friday morning so that the Torah could not be given until Shabbat when we could begin to count in accordance to the Torah that was given at that time where days begin at sundown.  So the "Torah's" 50th day was at sundown Friday night.  Moshe Rabbeinu intentionally wanted for the Torah to be given on Shabbat precisely because Shabbat has an extra measure of holiness and compassion where the sick would be miraculously healed because of those extra measures.

So what Moshe was able to accomplish because he was counting days as Noach would have counted days (Days and then nights from Gen. 8:22 as Noach counted days)  was for Shavuot to fall on a "holier" day than just a weekday like Friday.  By nudging the process with G-d's permission to extend the count so that the Torah's 50th day should be on Shabbat, we received the Torah at that special level of holiness that only Shabbat can provide......until now, the 76th year of the 8th Century of the 6th Millennium (the 5700s).   So what is different this time around?  Well we have to analyze the discussion of Shavuot in two places in the Torah.  In Lev. 23 we see this:
  ו  וּסְפַרְתֶּם לָכֶם, מִמָּחֳרַת הַשַּׁבָּת, מִיּוֹם הֲבִיאֲכֶם, אֶת-עֹמֶר הַתְּנוּפָה:  שֶׁבַע שַׁבָּתוֹת, תְּמִימֹת תִּהְיֶינָה. 15 And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the day of rest (the word Shabbat), from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the waving; seven weeks (but it says Shabbatot or 7 Shabbatot) shall there be complete;
טז  עַד מִמָּחֳרַת הַשַּׁבָּת הַשְּׁבִיעִת, תִּסְפְּרוּ חֲמִשִּׁים יוֹם; וְהִקְרַבְתֶּם מִנְחָה חֲדָשָׁה, לַיהוָה. 16 even unto the morrow after the seventh week (It says after the 7th Shabbat) shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall present a new meal-offering unto the LORD.
יז  מִמּוֹשְׁבֹתֵיכֶם תָּבִיאּוּ לֶחֶם תְּנוּפָה, שְׁתַּיִם שְׁנֵי עֶשְׂרֹנִים--סֹלֶת תִּהְיֶינָה, חָמֵץ תֵּאָפֶינָה:  בִּכּוּרִים, לַיהוָה. 17 Ye shall bring out of your dwellings two wave-loaves of two tenth parts of an ephah; they shall be of fine flour, they shall be baked with leaven, for first-fruits unto the LORD.    Verse 17 is about Shavuot day itself.  Yes, we know from the Oral Torah and because of how we count the omer as it is mentioned in Devarim 16, that we count from the first day of Pesach when we could not leave our homes until HaShem slew the firstborn of Mitzraim.   The word Shabbat, a three letter root, is the combined two letter root Shev Bayit, which means "stay put at home" or "Sit in your House".  So the year of the Redemption from Mitzraim, the first night of Pesach was Shabbat that fell on a Wednesday night in the truest sense of the word.  We literally sat in our homes eating the Korban Pesach until immediately after Midnight.  Some say we waited to leave until the following morning so that we would not leave like slaves sneaking our of their masters' homes, but the Mitzrim wanted us to leave already by 1am that very night with their firstborn dying or already dead lying before them.

So let us look at the same corresponding verses in Devarim 16:
  שִׁבְעָה שָׁבֻעֹת, תִּסְפָּר-לָךְ:  מֵהָחֵל חֶרְמֵשׁ, בַּקָּמָה, תָּחֵל לִסְפֹּר, שִׁבְעָה שָׁבֻעוֹת. 9 Seven weeks shalt thou number unto thee; from the time the sickle is first put to the standing corn shalt thou begin to number seven weeks.
י  וְעָשִׂיתָ חַג שָׁבֻעוֹת, לַיהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ--מִסַּת נִדְבַת יָדְךָ, אֲשֶׁר תִּתֵּן:  כַּאֲשֶׁר יְבָרֶכְךָ, יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ. 10 And thou shalt keep the feast of weeks unto the LORD thy God after the measure of the freewill-offering of thy hand, which thou shalt give, according as the LORD thy God blesseth thee.

Here it says Shavuot for weeks not Shabbatot, but Shavuot for weeks is spelled with no Vavs in verse 9.  Yet, when we get to the day of Shavuot (7 weeks plus one) itself in verse 10 it is spelled like so  שָׁבֻעוֹת with one Vav. and a qoobootz (three dots in a diagonal row) under the Bet.  So notice the important difference between these two accounts of Sefirat HaOmer.  In the first account we count days where each week ends with or includes one Shabbat.  In the second count in Devarim the word Shabbat is not included in the commandment to count 7 weeks.  Interesting, nu?  But alas there is one more difference and perhaps it makes all the difference.   In the account in VaYiqra (Leviticus), the Torah lists the offerings (qorbanot) for Shacharit (the offerings for Musaph are listed in Parshat Pinchus in BaMidbar).  The Shacharit qorbanot including two leavened loaves of bread. 7 yearling lambs, one bull, and two rams as fully burnt Olah offerings + one male goat as a sin offering + two yearling sheep as a peace offering which is partially eaten by the Kohanim with the two loaves of Chametz bread from the newly harvested wheat.  But notice what is missing here.  This particular description of Shavuot does not mention the place where G-d will place His Name in Eretz Yisrael.  Because the Mishkan here was in the process of being built or had just been built, these sacrifices were likely brought when the Mishkan resided in Shilo and in the other places it was in Eretz Yisrael before the Mishkan was erected in Shilo from the time that wheat could actually be harvested in Eretz Yisrael.  Because there was no wheat grown in the Midbar, these Shacharit sacrifices were not brought in the Midbar.  But when we get to Devarim 16, we get to the following pasuk which distinguishes between the description of weeks in Leviticus as Shabbatot and the description of weeks in Devarim as Shavuot:
א  וְשָׂמַחְתָּ לִפְנֵי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ, אַתָּה וּבִנְךָ וּבִתֶּךָ וְעַבְדְּךָ וַאֲמָתֶךָ, וְהַלֵּוִי אֲשֶׁר בִּשְׁעָרֶיךָ, וְהַגֵּר וְהַיָּתוֹם וְהָאַלְמָנָה אֲשֶׁר בְּקִרְבֶּךָ--בַּמָּקוֹם, אֲשֶׁר יִבְחַר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ, לְשַׁכֵּן שְׁמוֹ, שָׁם. 11 And thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy man-servant, and thy maid-servant, and the Levite that is within thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are in the midst of thee, in the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to cause His name to dwell there.

So at least part of the difference between counting Shabbatot and counting Shavuot is to reach the place where HaShem will place His Name that we have profaned amongst the nations of the world.  We profaned it so badly, that we ourselves have fallen to the 49th level of impurity most likely by the end of WW1 when more Jews chose Bolshevism over HaShem's Shabbat.  It is just the way it is.  Before WW1 the majority of the world's Jews were shomer Shabbat.  After WW1 they were not, and the main change was a massive shift away from Shabbat toward the ideas of the Bolshevik Revolution.  Gedolim of the era including the Chafetz Chaim spoke about this, and we accepted it as a fait accompli.  As mentioned in my previous posts, the last exceptional nation in Malkhut Edom, the United States of America over a period of 98 years descended in two different stages through all 49 levels of impurity.  From 1918 until 1967, the most avant garde third of American culture plunged through 49 levels ending in the Summer of Promiscuous Sex in the Summer of 1967.  From 1967 until 2016, the Middle third of American culture most affected by that Summer of Promiscuous Sex in 1967 took the plunge, and now as of this second week in June, 2/3rds of American culture is now at minus 50.  From random acts of immorality in Golden Gate Park in 1967 in San Francisco to Granting ketubot (marriage contracts) to homosexuals over the past year, American culture died on this very Shavuot in 2016 (5776) so much so that on that very day of Shavuot, 50 died in a Bar for homosexuals in Orlando, Florida at the 50th gate to impurity which is no gate at all.  It really is an Abyss, a Tehom, where the entire culture is built upon a quicksand of nothingness.  Now the 50 who died does include the ISIS mass home grown mass murderer who in a moment of intense cruelty brought 49 others down with him.  America is now utterly finished with no real hope for reaching any path to its former glory.  Now that the last real exceptional nation in Malkhut Edom has reached -50, by default and not by our merits Yerushalayim along with its Holy Temple will now be spiritually rebuilt.  Spiritual Caesaria lies in total ruin, and it is a spiritual law of nature that Yerushalayim will now be spiritually rebuilt.

So now we get back to the hints in our story.  Between the Yovel years 5678 (1918) and 5727 (1967), HaShem stressed Aliyah to Eretz Yisrael.  That 49 year period was kicked off by the Balfour Declaration in the Fall of 5678.  The next 49 year period that began in the Yovel 5727 (1967) kicked off 49 years of Aliyat HaRegel to the Kotel HaMaaravi in the holier half of Yerushalayim where the Temple Mount and the walled Holy City rest.  In each case we made Aliyah in spurts of 600,000 people to kick off the next stage.  By the fall of 1947 the Jewish population of Eretz Yisrael reached 600,000, and the modern physical state of Israel was founded.  By 1967 there was an Army of 600,000 men between 20 and up in Eretz Yisrael, and now in the year 2016 while there are 6 million Jews now in Eretz Yisrael, there are now 600,000 Jews in the Greater Yerushalayim metro area from Geva Binyamin in the north to Givat Rimon (Pomegranate Hill) in Efrat in the south (as described by Zecharia HaNavi in chapter 14 verse 10).  So what is the next stage?  For that we have to ask "the legs" of Aliyat Har HaBayit whose rise into the Knesset began with the resignation of Defense Min Yaalon on the 25th day of Sefirat HaOmer at Netzach that is in Netzach.  He then resigned from the Likud party the next day allowing Yehudah Glick to be inaugurated at Hod that is in Hod on Lag B'Omer.  Keep in mind that he is only the legs of Aliyat Har HaBayit in Shamayim.  He is the premier Aliyat Har HaBayit specialist in the world, and HaShem has allowed him to fulfill that role.  Try to ignore some of the dumb things that come out of his mouth because the mouth of this Messianic process is Mashiach ben David while the Netzach and Hod belong to the legs of Yehudah Glick.  So now that we have arrived at the stage of Aliyat Har HaBayit, we have to realize that the first two stages of Aliyah lead to Jews building their homes in Eretz Yisrael and then in the Old City of Yerushalayim, but in this stage, the Aliyah is totally spiritual because only G-d lives on Har HaBayit.  Since it is the place to which He will place his name, the pasuk in Devarim 16 now comes into play that we will rejoice over the Festival of Shavuot in the place where HaShem will place His Name.  And when does that occur?

For that we look at the difference between the words Shabbat שַּׁבָּת and Shavuot שָׁבֻעוֹת because as mentioned above we are talking about the penultimate year when unlike most years where this is the case, we go from the 7th Shabbat of Sefirat HaOmer with its qedushah of Shabbat to the actual 50th Gate (Shaar HaNun) of the Final Redemption.  In this year while Shavuot falls immediately after Shabbat, unlike under normal circumstances, we go up in Qedusah going into Shavuot on Motzei Shabbat by going up in qedushah and not down from Shabbat to YomTov (as would usually be the case).  So what is the difference?  One Ayin and One Vav, the 76th year, and not only a 76th year of a Jewish Century, but that 76th year is itself a Motzei Shevi'it year, the year after a Sabbatical year (or Shmittah year).  So not only is it a year where Shavuot is on Motzei Shabbat, but the year itself is Motzei Shevi'it.  So do we have a hint to the Century?  Of course, the other three letters which the two words Shabbat and Shavuot have in common are a Tav, Shin, and a Bet.  Of those three letters, the two letters which refer to the "hundreds" are the Tav and the Shin, the 700s.  So there you go, the very year where this actually takes place is this very year Tav Shin Ayin Vav!  So as America has fallen to minus 50 with 50 dead in a gay bar in Orlando, by default and b'itah (as Caesaria now lies in total spiritual ruin) we here in Eretz Yisrael have just entered the Gateway to the 50th, the Golden Gate to the Temple Mount!

I will clean this up tomorrow, but I wanted this published as Jews in Chu"l finish the 2nd day of Shavuot.  The leftover Bet likely refers to the two years of transition because as Mashiach is revealed in Motzei Shmittah having the status of Chezkat Mashiach, he needs to prove himself  over the course of two years.  I would urge those to look at this post as a Shiur AND NOT A PROPHESY for what will occur from here on out.

There Are More Things in Heaven and Earth, Horatio ......

Those who read this blog regularly know that I was on the verge of suspending it as of this coming Isru Chag of Shavuot.  I truly believed, and of course as we finally see right now, continue to believe, that this Yom Yerushalayim and Shavuot 5776 one week later are the Gateway to the 50th Gate of both the physical Yerushalayim on Earth and the spiritual Yerushalayim in Heaven.  It IS the 50th Yom Yerushalayim, the date of its unification, since and including the year of the 6 Day War on the third day of that war.  Yom Yerushalayim 5776 is therefore the entrance to the 50th and the Golden Gates since they are truly one and the same.  For the last several years now, I have believed that at this very auspicious moment at which we are at its doorstep or Gateway was not just the next most opportune time for the Final Redemption in our Generation, but that it was actually the Time, B'Itah, that Mashiach ben David would have to show up to greet us at the 50th Gate, in the words of Rav Chaim Vital, zt"l.  And so it seems to be.....  (So as long as this process proceeds, I won't be suspending this blog anytime soon.....)

There are more things in Heaven And Earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.

The list of everything that has happened during this week of Netzach during the Counting of the Omer between the 49th Pesach and 50th Shavuot since the 6 Day War is lengthy.  Here are just four events:

  

1. 66 gentile souls die as their plane descends to Mitzraim between the two countries France and Mitzraim set to divide Jerusalem this Summer.  Gen 46.  66 souls accompanied Yaakov to Mitzraim.

 66 gentile souls went down in an airplane into the Mediterranean that originated in Paris, France on the way to Mitzraim as the plane entered Mitzri traffic control airspace... in honor of this pasuk....

ו כָּל-הַנֶּפֶשׁ הַבָּאָה לְיַעֲקֹב מִצְרַיְמָה, יֹצְאֵי יְרֵכוֹ, מִלְּבַד, נְשֵׁי בְנֵי-יַעֲקֹב--כָּל-נֶפֶשׁ, שִׁשִּׁים וָשֵׁשׁ. 26 All the souls belonging to Jacob that came into Egypt, that came out of his loins, besides Jacob's sons' wives, all the souls were threescore and six. (That would be 66.)

Dear L-rd, Now that we are arriving at the 50th Gate, Are You just getting started?

Oh, the Parisians in coordination with El Sisi of Mitzraim just announced today or yesterday that they will not be deterred this Summer with their most important foreign policy goal in their lap: to divide Yerushalayim and the rest of Eretz Yisrael between the Jews and the Mythical State of the Invented People!  Good Show Hollande!  Good show El Sisi! You really want to get lacerated again?   

2. Meir Ettinger's torturer in the Defense Ministry  Moshe Boogie Yaalon falls from his high perch on this past Wednesday, the Day of Netzach that is in Netzach, 25th day of the Omer.  At the Brit Milah of his son that Meir could not attend under orders from Yaalon, the baby received the mysterious and unusual first name Netzach about which Rav Yitzchak Ginsburgh Shlit"a gave a two hr. drashah at the seudat brit.  There was a Mazkir at the Seudah recording the entire drashah.  I know someone who is close to the Rav.  I will try to get the transcript from him. 

3. Meir Ettinger will now get a release from being Israel's foremost political prisoner of the past year (one of the Yordei Duma or those arrested for the Duma arsons/murders).  He will be released a mere four days before we reach the Gateway to the 50th year of Yerushalayim's Unification.  The 50th gate physically is The Golden Gate to The Temple Mount from the Qidron Valley to where the Ezrat HaNashim was during the times of the First two Temples on The Mount.  The Golden Gate aka Shaar HaRachamim is in a direct line from the peak of the Mt. of Olives on the other side of the Qidron valley to the east of the Old City, from there to the Holy of Holies on the Temple Mount.

4.  And now the foremost Temple Mt activist in the world is entering the K'nesset as an MK to replace the fallen Yaalon!   And as he enters, he ponders and prays about Sanctifying the Name of Heaven!  

Now where is Horatio when you need him!  So much is happening, and in this summary I have skipped so much that has occurred in the last 72 hours alone.  Now that we are approaching the 50th Gate, expect a Flood of Geulah news.  Expect that it might be difficult for Geulah bloggers to keep up with all the details of the flow of events.  All that was Derekh HaTeva since the 6 Day War for the last 49 years will revert to relationships between events that are openly miraculous.  That is the only thing that we will be able to fully expect as we approach and enter this auspicious 50th year.

After the events of the last week, I am ecstatic enough this Erev Shabbat to start singing Hallel without a bracha, but I know that we are in a process that will only BEGIN to climax during the week of Malkhut, the week between Yom Yerushalayim and Shavuot of Sefirat HaOmer.  So we should thank HaShem appropriately for the miracles so far, but perhaps we should wait on the Hallel until Yom Yerushalayim and Shavuot itself, the latter Hallel on Shavuot said with a brachah.  But let us reflect on the words in one of the most appropriate chapters of Hallel that is apropos for this moment.  It is from Psalm 115.  You see, at the Pesach Seder the first two Psalms of Hallel, 113 and 114, are recited BEFORE the Seudah, Shulkhan Orech, because they praise G-d for the Exodus from Mitzraim.  So the last four chapters of Hallel are sung after the third cup of wine when we Praise G-d in lieu of the Final Redemption which we are right now entering.   The third cup of wine is recited over the ingathering of 6 million Jews to Eretz Yisrael from the depths of Galut while we are still at the 49th level of impurity.  It is solely a physical ingathering of the Dry Bones of our exile to the Land of Israel that has been taking place now since the students of the GR"A  and the Great Chassidic masters joined the Sephardim who were already here at the turn of the 19th Century (around 1800).  The secular Aliyot began 80 years later in the 1880s while the Socialists showed up around 1900.  We do have a mixed crew here to say the least, but it IS the physical ingathering of the Nation for better or for worse.  And the Afikomen that we eat after the Seudah on Seder night celebrates the ingathering of the 6 million while we are still at the 49th level of impurity since Matzah represents that level more than any other food at the Seder.  Now the only way to be redeemed from that level SPIRITUALLY is for the prominent Edomite nations of the world to fall to an even lower level than -49.  Thanks to Donald Trump, the Middle third of American culture is now at -50, the spiritual gutter or Abyss (Tehom in Hebrew) so that as Caesaria now lies in ruin, Yerushalayim can be spiritually rebuilt....Welcome home everyone.  

So as we turn the page in the Hagaddah from the Tzafun (Afikomen) to Birkat HaMazon and the third cup of wine, we arrive at the moment where Eliyahu HaNavi can now appear out of a techeilet blue sky in a Chariot of Fire to herald the Coming of Mashiach ben David.  And then we start to sing Hallel (Psalm 115).  Psalm 115 is a Psalm of contrasts.  It starts with a plea that HaShem redeem us from our lowly state not for our sake but for the Sake of the Sanctification of His Holy Name.  It contrasts the chotchkas of the Roman Catholic and Orthodox Churches, their physical idols, with the fact that Klal Yisrael and righteous gentiles cleave to and trust in HaShem, who cannot be molded or made in our own image or the image of something that is limited by our imaginations.  "Those who fear HaShem trust in HaShem.  Their help and their Shield is He!"    Then we sing about how HaShem blesses all the segments of G-d's Holy Nation who fear Him.  "upon us and upon our children.  We are the blessed of HaShem the Maker of Heaven and Earth."  Again we read the next contrast that the the Heavens are owned by HaShem, but He has given Olam HaZeh here on earth to Mankind.  And then the final concluding contrast between Olam HaZeh and Yemot HaMashiach...

  לֹא הַמֵּתִים, יְהַלְלוּ-יָהּ;    וְלֹא, כָּל-יֹרְדֵי דוּמָה. 17 The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into (or because of) Duma;  Duma can be translated as Silence in reference to gag orders and the muzzling of dissent in Shabak's torture chambers.

יח  וַאֲנַחְנוּ, נְבָרֵךְ יָהּ--    מֵעַתָּה וְעַד-עוֹלָם:

הַלְלוּ-יָהּ. 18 But we will bless the LORD from this time forth and for ever. {N}

Hallelujah.

So who would like to Greet the survivors of the tortures because of Duma when they get out of their confinement?   Who wants to greet the soldiers of Mashiach ben David at the 50th Gate??

Shabbat Shalom...the end of the Week of Netzach!

And Amaleq in Edom lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, Amaleq in Yishmael was coming, and with him four hundred men.

It has begun...the Final Redemption....b'itah.  This one is most definitely it.  The Ayin Ra (gematriah 400, the Evil Eye) which has been manipulated by spiritual Edom for the last 2000 years is now turning on itself.  The Yetzer haRa is now on the mat for much more than just an 8 count.  Chaza"l tell us that the last currency of Malkhut Edom will be the currency of Amaleq, the Ayin Ra.  The Euro if spelled correctly as it should be spelled with an Ayin and not an Aleph is spelled Ayin"Reish, the acronym for Ayin Ra.  It is that currency.  Unlike the dollar it does NOT have In God We Trust written on it which prevents the dollar from being that currency spoken about by Chaza"l.  In the United Europe, a united Germany has a treaty with Rome (the Vatican) to unite and take over the world, but the empire of the EU has been a financial empire headquartered in..... Brussels, Belgium.  And now on Ta'anit Esther, the final Milkhemet Amaleq has finally begun.

Some of you might say that the attack was the day before Ta'anit Esther, but I must inform you of something that I noticed after the molad for Adar Sheini.  The molad was on a Tuesday night, the 29th of Adar Rishon around 9:30 pm.  The new moon for Adar Sheini could, therefore, actually be seen already on the following night, Wednesday night, the 30th of Adar Rishon which is also Rosh Chodesh.  (This is not always the case.  As a matter of fact it usually is not the case.)  In ancient times this would mean that the First of Adar Sheini would have been declared the previous day, making the day of the Brussels attack the Fast of Esther, the day of the War against Amaleq in the Book of Esther.    Chazal had a good reason for being careful when the festivals before Tishrei fell, though.  They never wanted Yom Kippur to fall out on an Erev Shabbat or a Motzei Shabbat.  And they never wanted Hoshana Rabba to fall out on Shabbat.  So the calendar has to be "set" months in advance to prevent that from happening.  When the moon will be spotted by Eidim in the near future, this will only happen for the month of Tishrei when the problem is potentially very problematic.  But with the set calendar of Hillel haSheini, these tikkunim are set into motion at three key times in the year (the 29th of Cheshvan when a 30th day might be added,  the 29th of Kislev when a 30th day may NOT be added, and of course the 30th of Adar Rishon which only occurs if there will be an Adar Sheini in the following month.)  So with the set calendar, the tikkunim are set months in advance, something that will not continue once the months are determined by witnesses to the New Moons.   

Dubiel, and the Final Alliance of the Three Bears

This post is dedicated to the Late, Great Rebbe of Erlau zt"l who, along with the 5th Admor of Sadigora zt"l, stood up against the Disengagement of Ariel Sharon.

The dye is cast. When the Vilna Gaon said that we should put on our Shabbat clothes to welcome Mashiach when the Russian Navy captures the Bosphorus, he was not just referring to Russia. He called the Power that will capture Istanbul/ Constantinople at the End of Days, "Dubiel", the Power of the Bear from Daniel chapter 7. The Power of the Lion with Eagle's Wings (rugged individualism) and the Power of the Four headed Leopard (The New World Order of which the EU is the flagship representative) simply whither away when the physical world can no longer be elevated. So this Dubiel represents at least three modern and ancient nations. In ancient times Dubiel was most represented by the Persians and the Medes. In the modern era, the Face of Edom that has this Power of the Bear is of course Russia. So in this final war we should have an "alliance" between both the ancient and modern Bears as they drive against Istanbul, the Eastern seat of the Roman Empire where Istanbul is Constantinople and where the clay (Yishmael) is mired with iron (Rome). So up until now we have had an alliance with 2/3rds of the ancient and modern bears (Persia and Russia). Now the third Bear has risen as a new but key ally of the other two bears. The Medes have finally shown us who they are. 

Everyone who knows a little bit about Kurdistan wonders privately and aloud from where does this proud people come? A little research reveals that the Kurds are adjacent and to the northwest of Persia, precisely where the ancient Medes were in relation to the ancient Persians. Kurdistan for whatever reason is known to have ancient roots, but for whatever reason, the Sands of Time seem to have hidden who they really are. Alas, now we know. They are who they have always been from ancient times. They are the Medes and therefore they are the third Bear that will now join the other two bears as Dubiel advances on Istanbul in this Final War.

Events are moving rather quickly now.  There is no pretending that WW3 will be delayed for several years.  In Syria there is too much inertia for Russia to re-install the Assad regime to secure its Naval Base in Tartus and its air force base outside of Latakia and for Saudi Arabia and Turkey to forestall the death of a growing Sunni Arab hegemony in Syria.  At the same time the Turks are scared of the rise of a growing Kurdish national movement in Syria and Iraq as an existential threat.  Erdogan does not have years or even months to bring the Kurdish insurgency which is threatening to overrun Eastern Turkey under control as the Kurds continue to enjoy more and more independence in Iraq and Syria as the world goes further and further into chaos.

In this post, I wanted to bring together three end of days themes into harmony.

1. The Statue of the Four Kingdoms in Nebuchadnezzer's Dream in Daniel Chapter 2
2. The vision of the Four Beasts in Daniel Chapter 7
3.  Mashiach comes Riding on a Donkey (a chamur) from Zecharia 9

Only by bringing these three themes into harmony can we begin to understand the Prophesy based on his learning of the Vilna Gaon, that Mashiach will come b'itah as a direct result of the Russian Navy bursting through the Bophorus at Istanbul (to ostensibly connect to its growing Naval Base in Tartus, Syria in the Mediterranean Sea).  In the course of this happening surely the Russian Air Force will need to have Istanbul under its control (or attempted control) in order to protect its Naval forces.  So a Russian conquest of Turkey will be necessary to achieve this disastrous result for what will turn out to be Erdogan's Last Stand.

So first let us understand the entire concept of B'itah.  Under what circumstances does Mashiach have to come, for these are the B'itah circumstances?  Because only when the world reaches a point where Olam HaZeh can no longer exist, does Mashiach have to come.  So what is the condition for Olam HaZeh that it can no longer continue to exist?  In reality there are two such conditions that are met simultaneously with each other, and not so surprisingly both conditions may very well intersect with each other at the beginning of this coming Summer (in early June or Siwan to be exact).

1. The World reaches a point where it spiritually as a whole is at Mem Tet Sha'arei Tumah (the 49th level of impurity), and it is in danger of falling below this 49th shade of grey level into the spiritual abyss from which it can no longer be rescued.

2.  The physical matter of the world can no longer be elevated to holiness or even to any higher purpose.  All the physical stuff of creation was given to Man to be used to serve G-d either through His commandments or by doing Acts of Lovingkindness with it.  As will be discussed later, the world's empires except for Persia also believed in "elevating" matter for the ideas that they believe in that in one way or another elevate man as an individual (rugged individualism) or Mankind as a collective (a New Wordly or Secular Order).  Yet, apparently the physical stuff of creation does not have an infinite use contract with its Creator.  It was only meant to be elevated so much until all the Good that it might do was extracted from the Chomer (physical material) of Creation.  And this I heard from Rav Ezriel Tauber over 20 years ago.  Once all of the good that the physical world can do has been extracted from this Chomer, all that is left is the poop of a jackass (the Chamur of Olam HaZeh).  This is actually hinted at in the Gemorrah in Sanhedrin.  Just before Mashiach comes we will be peering through the poop of the jackass (the chamur that represents the Chomer of Olam HaZeh).  Since the Fall of Adam in the Fall of the year One on Rosh HaShanah, the chamur of Olam HaZeh has carried on its back Mankind as a burden.  The Chamur eats and digests its food and in many ways provides for the physical needs of Mankind by carrying Mankind on its back.  As long as it is used by Man to both meet his needs so that he can elevate it to a higher purpose, Mankind can be the master of this jackass.  At the end of history, the jackass leaves its dung which can no longer be used by Mankind for a higher purpose.  So Man goes from riding on this jackass to staring through its dung, finding it impossible to elevate the dung.  (Some might bring up the issue of fertilizer.  Dung can be used for that, but Rav Tauber didn't bring that one up.  So I will have to defer to thinking about that for another time.)

At this point in history when the physical stuff of Creation has been extracted of all of its good, the possibility of elevation for a higher purpose becomes impossible.  The sign that we have arrived at this point is that Mankind simply wants more and more stuff, an insatiable need for more and more physicality.  Life becomes a Persian banquet from the Book of Esther where royalty feasted for weeks and months on end, for the purpose of satisfying every physical pleasure that one might dream of.  Once one physical pleasure has been fulfilled, the next more grandiose pleasure becomes the next driving force of existence.  At this point in history, all the other higher drives of Mankind have faded away except for the Force that drove the ancient Persians, the desire to accrue more and more stuff.  It is precisely at this point that Mashiach comes riding on his donkey (his chamur) that contains all of the Good in the physical world that has been elevated by G-dly people throughout history for the purpose of serving G-d.  He may be coming in a lowly way, a b'itah way, but he comes because if he did not come, the physical universe would be completely devoid of its purpose.   We may not merit his coming, but he comes nevertheless.  This is the meaning of Mashiach ben David coming to the Holy City riding on a jackass in Zecharia 9.

The question can then be asked, at what point do the inability to elevate the physical world for a higher purpose and the end of the 49th level of impurity meet when the world is about to become irredeemably extracted from the Abyss??  The answer seems to be according to Zecharia in chapter 13, when 2/3rds of Mankind is either already irredeemable or in danger of imminently falling into the Abyss.  Or this might be true for Mankind's flagship nation from Edom.  That would be the United States.  As discussed in detail before on this blog here, 5776 is the Yovel year of the 48th Yovel cycle since Ezra the Scribe established the Yovel year as the 15th and 65th year of every Jewish Century.  During the 2nd Temple, those Yovelot were distinct years and not the first year of the next Shmittah and Yovel cycles.  Once the Temple was destroyed, the potential Yovel year DID become the first year of the next Shmittah and Yovel cycle.  So ostensibly the Yovel cycles went from being 50 year cycles during the time of the Beit HaMiqdash to 49 year cycles after the Churban.  So as we follow this chart by Gedalia , the last three Yovel years before 5776 were 5629 (the 45th Yovel year), 5678 (the 46th Yovel year), and 5727 (the 47th Yovel year).   In those last three Yovel years, the Yovel achieved at least part of its Mandate, to begin to at least return Eretz Yisrael to the possession of the Jewish people.  In 5629 (1869), Mark Twain published his book Innocents Abroad which is the best selling travelogue of all time.  Most of the travelogue is about Twain's travels to Eretz Yisrael in 1867 and what he saw along the way to Yerushalayim and in Yerushalayim once he arrived.  In it Mr. Twain speaks of Eretz Yisrael lying in ruins, cursed by the Deity where so little vegetation can even grow there, a forlorn land that cannot be reclaimed from this Curse.  In Parshat Nitzavim (Deut. 29:21 we read:  
כא  וְאָמַר הַדּוֹר הָאַחֲרוֹן, בְּנֵיכֶם אֲשֶׁר יָקוּמוּ מֵאַחֲרֵיכֶם, וְהַנָּכְרִי, אֲשֶׁר יָבֹא מֵאֶרֶץ רְחוֹקָה; וְרָאוּ אֶת-מַכּוֹת הָאָרֶץ הַהִוא, וְאֶת-תַּחֲלֻאֶיהָ, אֲשֶׁר-חִלָּה יְהוָה, בָּהּ. 21 And the generation to come, your children that shall rise up after you, and the foreigner that shall come from a far land, shall say, when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses wherewith the LORD hath made it sick;
כב  גָּפְרִית וָמֶלַח, שְׂרֵפָה כָל-אַרְצָהּ--לֹא תִזָּרַע וְלֹא תַצְמִחַ, וְלֹא-יַעֲלֶה בָהּ כָּל-עֵשֶׂב:  כְּמַהְפֵּכַת סְדֹם וַעֲמֹרָה, אַדְמָה וּצְבֹיִים, אֲשֶׁר הָפַךְ יְהוָה, בְּאַפּוֹ וּבַחֲמָתוֹ. 22 and that the whole land thereof is brimstone, and salt, and a burning, that it is not sown, nor beareth, nor any grass groweth therein, like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which the LORD overthrew in His anger, and in His wrath;
כג  וְאָמְרוּ, כָּל-הַגּוֹיִם, עַל-מֶה עָשָׂה יְהוָה כָּכָה, לָאָרֶץ הַזֹּאת; מֶה חֳרִי הָאַף הַגָּדוֹל, הַזֶּה. 23 even all the nations shall say 'Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this land? what meaneth the heat of this great anger?'

Notice that the text of the Torah is such that many descendants of Klal Yisrael would come in that final generation before the greening of the Land of Israel, but only one foreigner would come from a faraway land to write about the Land of Israel.  That foreigner was Mark Twain.  (And Yes, Hannibal, Missouri constitutes being from a faraway land!  Yours truly can attest to that.)  It is so much about Twain that the Roshei HaTeivot (the acronym of the first two letters) of Me, Eretz R'Chokah (from a faraway land) is M-a-R-K!  Now the publication of this book was in the Yovel year 5629.  Within 30 years, the greening of Eretz Yisrael began with the First agricultural Aliyah (Chovavei Tzion or Lovers of Zion) in 1882.  The physical redemption of the Land had begun just as prophesied in the Torah, and right on schedule.  The next Yovel 5678 saw the Balfour Declaration in the Fall of that year, right after the Yovel.  Since the Land was redeemed from the Turks through the Midat HaDin, David Lloyd Gog's conquest of Yerushalayim was completed on Erev Chanukah in December of 1917.  So the return of Eretz Yisrael to its Jewish inhabitants and future inhabitants continued.  Then 49 years later in 1967 in the Spring of the year, Judea and Samaria and half of Yerushalayim were returned to the Jewish people.  Since it was to the Jewish people, it happened b'Rachamim in the Spring.

Yet, the last two Yovelot are noteworthy for another reason.  It seems that the promise of Yovel came at the cost of the spiritual greatness of the empires that Israel would eventually replace when Mashiach comes.  Keep in mind, that the next Yovel in the year 5825 is the end of the 49th Yovel cycle, and the beginning of the 50th cycle.  So what has happened in the last two Yovel cycles is that in the 47th cycle, the least G-dly one third of what was the greatest gentile nation in human history, the United States, went off the derekh (left the Camp of the Almighty) and left the fold of this gentile nation under G-d.  As noted in the article above "When Shilo Comes", it affected the culture of the US, but it did not affect the middle third of that culture.  So while it did not pervert "Main Street" as it were in the United States, women went from wearing very long dresses to the beach for mixed swimming as late as 1918 to wearing less modest clothing over the course of the Yovel cycle.  By the mid 1940s, women were wearing "Betty Grable" bathing suits to the beach.  And by the mid 60s, the bathing suits had gotten even skimpier.  Yet, through it all, Americans in general kept their G-d centered outlooks.  It was only in 1967 that what had been at the fringes of American society entered onto Main Street to bring down the Middle third, once again over 49 years.  So at this point in time 49 years later, we have reached the spiritual condition of Mankind mentioned in Zecharia 13. 

 Now Rav Chaim Vital is noteworthy for pointing out when Mashiach would come.   Rav Chaim Vital succinctly tells us that as Olam HaZeh falls below the 49th level into the Abyss, Mashiach is found at the Gateway to the 50th level (Sha'ar HaNun). Now, Ichud Yerushalayim was on the 28th of Iyar 5727, the 43rd day of the counting of the Omer. From Parshat Masei we see that the first 42 levels of purification (the Camps in the Midbar) can be done outside of Eretz Yisrael. So is it just a coincidence that the beginning of our 49 year trek in the Ba'al Teshuvah movement really began on the 43rd day of the Counting of the Omer in 5727? Of course not! The events surrounding the Unification of Yerushalayim come to teach that even though the first 42 levels of teshuvah can be done outside of Eretz Yisrael, the last 7 levels can only be achieved in total in Eretz Yisrael, starting with the core event of the Unification of Yerushalayim.  This is NOT to say that one can't reach the 49th level in Chu"l, but the path through those last seven levels should if possilbe be done in the Holy Land during which the Midah of Malkhut (the last 7 levels) can potentially be purified.  It is far more difficult to purify Malkhut outside of the Land of Israel than it is inside the Land of Israel.  Each Shmittah cycle since and including 5727, allowed us to purify ourselves through all the levels of purity. The levels of purification of Chessed corresponded to the years 5727- 5733. Gevurah 5734- 5740 Tiffereth 5741- 5747 Netzach 5748- 5754 Hod 5755- 5761 Yesod 5762- 5768 Malkhut 5769- 5775. Notice that each level of purification ended with a Shmittah year. 

At the exact same moment that Ichud Yerushalayim took place, the Summer of Ramdom Acts of Promiscuous Immorality began in June of 1967.  Coincidence??  Of course not.  At the same time that about 20% of the Jewish people began their trek toward purity with the beginning of the Ba'al Teshuvah movement, Malkhut Edom's Main Street began its 49 year downward trek toward the Abyss.  In both cases we arrive at the "endpoint" of each 49 year trek is the last week of Sefirat HaOmer this Summer of 5776.  Since this process began at the beginning of the Malkhut levels of Sefirat HaOmer in 5727, it seems to end on Shavuot 5776, another Gateway to the 50th. Now do you get the picture?? Understand deeply what Rav Vital is saying. Edom collapses into the Abyss precisely at the moment that Klal Yisrael reaches the 50th Gate of Teshuvah (for the 20% or so of Jews who are taking this seriously). I can't speak for the other 80% of American Jews. I have ceased speaking for them and their pursuit of the gutter long ago.
