This Week's Interesting Music Releases - December 16, 2016
Mica Levi's soundtrack for the film Jackie is the lone new album I can heartily endorse this week.
Numerous box sets are in stores and available to stream today, including The Complete Works of Fela Anikulapo Kuti (30-discs), Public Image Ltd's remastered and expanded Album & Metal Box (both 4-CD box sets), and the 6-disc (3-LP, 2-CD & DVD) 40th anniversary edition of Rush's 2112.
Vinyl reissues include two Big Star releases (No. 1 Record, Radio City), a 2-LP edition of the Hold Steady's Boys and Girls in America, and a glittery silver vinyl edition of the Elf soundtrack.
