Completely OT actor Mike Connors died today at the ripe old age of 92. Major TV star in his time, which obviously was a half century ago- he was already over forty when he hit it big. But in his honor I just watched an episode of his show Mannix. It seems they're all available online. The internet continues to amaze. Now you can argue, and I probably would, that commercial movies haven't advanced much in any meaningful way since the early seventies. But TV is a whole other thing. I mean this wasn't a random show. It was a hit that ran for eight or nine years. And wow by contemporary standards was it awful. From the Kmart lighting to the rudimentary camera work, to the dreadful staging to the spot the villain five minutes in plot to the filler dialogue intended to stretch scenes to the next commercial. If you're somebody who takes the quality of Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones for granted and carps that Westworld wasn't good enough take a trip to prehistoric TV land and count your blessings.

Am a believer in minimalist description but not sure
what a Korean fortress looks like. A little description would help.
An ancient temple surrounded by a fortress wall?
A temple compound with other buildings?
An emperor's palace?

Could be just me but it makes me quit
after reading only a couple of pages.

Thank you for the in depth answer. I really appreciate your response.

I love how you break the process down into smaller more realistic challenges that when added together will arrive in various forms of the script. I really want to build better writing habits and retain positive momentum in my writing. Thank you for the great advice.

Hi Everyone! I'm really excited for this contest!

I wrote a short this morning called The Emperor.

I'd love to hear people's reactions, and thoughts to it if you have time to read 8 pages. It barely scratched the 9th page.

I wrote it this morning and I'm happy I came up with an idea I liked and executed it so quickly. Would love to receive some feedback. Only took around 4 hours to do, from writing notes to writing the script.

https://www.docdroid.net/1G0yXip/the-emperor-short-v1.pdf.html#page=10

I'd be curious what genre and logline I should write for it? I just noticed Carsons wants those as well ahhhh

I'd be happy to trade reads as well
