Now that every show has had a few episodes to strut its stuff, it’s time to tell you what we’ll be blogging this season. This is Random Curiosity’s Summer 2016 blogging schedule.

As always, this is a tentative overview of our plans for the new season . . . is what we used to say, but with 2-3 episodes under our belts, we’re pretty confident in our picks. Will some of them blow up in our faces? Probably. But this is what we’re going with.

The journey continues as another exorcist joins the fray.

Mob Psycho 100 wasn’t the first series this season to really get started only with its second episode , but it’s certainly the best.

「LETTER 03」

Orange is the perfect series for those who love to emotionally torture themselves.

“The Generation of Prodigies”

I think that’s the first time Shokugeki no Souma has killed an animal live on-screen.

I may be getting older, but I’ll never forget just how tough it was to be a kid.

「ためらい バースデイ」 (Tamerai Basudei)
“Uncertain Birthday”

Just because you’re in the middle of a war doesn’t mean you forget about birthday parties!

「いつわりの幻影」 (Itsuwari no Gen’ei)
“Phantom of Falsehood”

If you haven’t yet jumped into 91Days, you’re doing yourself one hell of a disservice.

「ウェルカム、超常現象」 (Werukamu, Chōtsune Genshō)
“Welcome, Supernatural Phenomena”

It’s hard to tell whether Rewrite is simply not explaining itself, or if it is intentionally obfuscating.

「征馬孤影」 (Seibakoei)
“Journey Horse, Sad and Solitary”

Exile doesn’t seem so bad when your friends come along.

「ファーストステップ」 (Faasuto Steppu)
“First Step”

As much as I like characters having to experience hardship to grow, I’ll let Sunshine pass this time.

「光といけないコト」 (Hikari to Ikenai Koto)
“The Story of Doing Something Bad with Hikari”

Behold, extreme power-walking action!

「張家の秘密?」 (Zhang-ke no Himitsu?)
“The Zhang Family’s Secret”

Hitori no Shita: THE OUTCAST’s debut falls primarily victim to one fatal flaw—but one which can easily be amended in subsequent episodes.

「ただいま希望ヶ峰学園」 (Tadaima Kibougamine Gakuen)
“Hello Again, Hope’s Peak Academy”

It’s every aniblogger’s nightmare to have to list each individual character for a series like DANGANRONPA. Considering that I’ve never read the visual novel though, let’s see how well I do…
