Real Talk Real Moms | Birth Stories

Today I’m so honored to be joining in on a series I’ve been reading for over a year! I first wrote my birth story right after Jack was born, and today I’m sharing it again as part of Jen Pinkston’s Real Talk Real Moms series. Now that Jack is TWO YEARS OLD (how did that happen?!) we are definitely starting to talk about the idea of having another baby one day, so it’s fun to look back and think about how our baby boy came into the world. If you’re not into motherhood posts feel free to skip this and come on back tomorrow ;) Continue Reading →

A Meaningful (and Beautiful) Gift Idea for Caregivers

I know a lot of you who read this are fellow working moms. And if that’s the case, then there are certainly people in your life who take care of your child when you’re not available to do so yourself. Our nanny Sydney (who is also my intern—more on that later!) has truly become a member of our family. She is with Jack twice a week and I swear he thinks she’s his big sister. Needless to say, I largely owe the success of my business to her and I am so, so grateful for the way she cares for Jack—which makes choosing a Christmas gift for her incredibly hard!

Of course I knew I’d be gifting her a handmade necklace, but that didn’t feel like enough. I wanted something special, personal and relevant to the amazing work she does for our family. And then it hit me: a photo gift from Artifact Uprising. Their products are modern and high quality and I knew I could create something she would love. I eventually settled on their wooden calendar and had so much fun choosing photos of Jack for each month of the year. I finished off the gift with a handwritten note thanking her for all that she does, and now that she’s opened it I’m happy to report that she loved it :)

What kind of gifts do you get for the caregivers in your life?

(This calendar was provided by Artifact Uprising, a brand I’ve loved and been ordering from for years. Thank you for supporting the brands that make Thoughts by Natalie possible!)

Juicero

Fresh, cold-pressed juice is one of my go-to, stay-healthy strategies. Anytime I feel a slight cold coming on, I go straight to my local juice shop and get a nutrient-packed green juice (or three) to fend off illness and let me tell you, it never fails me! That being said, when I first learned about Juicero I was very curious and I recently had the chance to test it out for myself. Today I’m sharing a little about the product, the juice and what you can expect if you get one yourself! Continue Reading →
