A New Way to Learn
Our custom-built platform, Learn.co, facilitates collaboration and allows students to train with actual developer tools like GitHub and Atom. After graduation, Flatiron students are fully prepared to apply their new skills in real software teams.

Rachel L. Swarns: “In an industry that is mostly white and mostly male, [Flatiron] fellows were strikingly diverse. Of the 28 people selected, 16 were women and 14 were minorities, city officials say. Nine were African-American. Eleven of the students were unemployed when they started the course in October. Four didn’t have college degrees.
‘It was hard as hell,’ Ms. Eady said.”
Rigorous, Industry-Aligned Curriculum
On campus or online, Flatiron students receive an uncompromising education in programming, with rigorous but rewarding coursework that simulates the challenging responsibilities of a real-world developer. Since our inaugural class in 2012, we have continually honed our curricula to graduate engineers who are ready to hit the ground running at top employers like Google, ESPN, NASA and Spotify.
