Everybody in my work place agrees that McDonald's coffee is far superior to Timmy's. When I need coffee on the go, I always try to go to McD's. Plus you get a free coffee every once in a while.

No, I get it. I could totally understand kids being able to turn on the lights and sirens, say, at an event. But driving to and event; driving through intersections going code can cause confusion on the roads and there is always the risk of causing an accident with drivers on the road who freak out and don't know what to do when an emergency vehicle approaches. I've seen it first hand.

I'm just surprised a department is willing to take that risk.

I think it's a little questionable that they drive lights and sirens to what is essentially a charitable (non emergency) situation. Other than that it seems really nice.

In Canada that's called uttering threats and is an indictable offence. The cop could have arrested her on the spot (In Canada, at least). This cop was giving her plenty of chances and even though some might view this and see the cop as "losing his cool," he was absolutely cutting her slack. A lot of it.

Cops deal with people like this on a daily basis and yet people can't seem to understand why many of them develop short fuses.

Late reply here but I work in the court system in BC and that is in fact the case here. I've seen it first hand. We call them Freedom of the Land people up here, but they follow the same principles.
