    I think Jim nailed the dynamic here of why BTC violently sold. As soon as CME launched, CB surprise launched bcash. Someone was pegging the price of bcash to BTC at .2. It is very likely that they used Jim’s strategy here with covered shorts and dumped BTC into market.

    Bitcoin transaction "spam" stopped again the last 24 hours and the mempool is clearing currently down to 60-70 sat/b. Next difficutly adjustment is 95 blocks, seems like a small 3-4% increase in difficulty this tmie.

    People prefer to trade because it allows an outlet of action when feeling emotional about market movements. It allows them to feel like they still have control. To HODL is to give up control no matter how bad you feel, which is a much harder psychological path.

    Doing some research on . pretty much every high performance asset in history is a what is going on with bitcoin is not a new thing! . There is honestly not very much info out there! any insight?

    Very healthy for to hover around 14-15k these past few days to allow 200 DMA to catch up. Bitcoin is now in very strong hands and can get ready for its next ramp up.

    3/ This will only be avoided if the owners of businesses have a strong ideological bent and will put the ideal of bitcoin ahead of the ideal needs of the business. This can’t be relied on longterm. The more BTC moves its eco-system away from corporations the better.

    2/ It shouldn’t come as a surprise then, that the biggest current threats to Bitcoin are the corporate elements within its eco-system. While they have added immensely to access and functionality, longterm they will eventually turn on Bitcoin in favour of more centralized options

    1/ Corporations aren’t technically free market entities. Their existence is predicated upon limited liability laws. Bitcoin is an innovation on organizational structure and is the first new model to compete with the corporate model.

    1/ I didn't think I had to tweet about this but the upcoming 'Segwit2x' fork is a non-event. It is not being launched by the original team and is most likely a scheme to make $$ off the S2X futures being traded on multiple exchanges.

    I’ve watched this cycle for 10 years and it NEVER fails. It’s just very hard to match technicals to it and make clear predictions. Emotions give the best guide.
