    Back in Berlin, in the same apartment we were in last time. It's remarkable how nice the feeling of returning "home" is, even if it's a rental for a few weeks. Berlin feels so familiar too, looking forward to seeing it for the holidays.

    Had a second Schäufele, it was amazing. This one claimed to be "Szechuan Schäufele" with a promise of Szechuan pepper but it didn't come through. Still, this is a dish ripe for embellishing with interesting spices on top of the basic good German roast pork + beer sauce.
