    People forced to endure hardship turn to extremists for leadership. If the people of Gaza were trusted to trade and live without interference from their powerful neighbours, the region would soon enjoy peace. But that seems unlikely.

    Hamas must go. Right after our holidays and Eurovision, Israel must evict Hamas from Gaza. The U.S. should back us militarily and diplomatically and, together with Arab states, commit to Gaza’s renewal. Peace in the region is impossible with Hamas in Gaza. Israel is ready to act.

    I think now more than ever we have to make our farming systems more resilient. Less intensification, holistic approaches & better use of resources are what's needed, not blanket bans on age-old nutrient recycling practices.

    More on African Swine Fever (ASF): do you know it's illegal to feed swill to pigs? It is an offence with up to €250,000 fine and even imprisonment. It brings tremendous risk of diseases like Foot & Mouth Disease and ASF too. Now more than ever we have to keep this in mind!
