When three-time Olympic medalist Tori Bowie died, she was 8 months pregnant and in labor. The coroner said she may have had eclampsia—or seizures which can lead to stroke or death Her 4x100 teammate @allysonfelix had life-threatening preeclampsia in 2018 jezebel.com/olympic-sprint

If you're reading a tour of Vienna as a renter's utopia includes an ellipsis from 1934 to 1968, you should probably ask some questions. Like, what role did evicting the occupants of 65,000 units play? How about the war that damaged or destroyed much of the housing stock?

This is a huge takeaway for me from today’s hearings. The FDA seems to think people are getting super detailed screening and counseling from their doctors when choosing contraceptive methods. Frankly, that has not been my experience in our medical system with ANY medication.

A lot of the FDA's concerns about whether or not consumers will understand specific elements of the label on their own assume that people are getting really comprehensive contraceptive counseling from their doctors. Unfortunately, we know this isn't always true.

Harry Belafonte felt like a co-parent in those early days of covid. For awhile Banana Boat would make the baby stop crying 100% of the time. We used to sing Jamaican Farewell to her as a lullaby. Loved getting to learn more about his magnificent life and activism. What a human.
