Stoked to be a co-author of the Kookaburra book with

There is some correlation between my GitHub activity density and my happiness.

Another example using Kafka's streams API: https://github.com/gwenshap/kafka-streams-stockstats … < Trade analysis FTW
-
Really nice stream processing example: https://github.com/bbejeck/kafka-streams … I think he's trying to predict stock market movement based on Trump tweets.

This passed the House. It'll require a senate filibuster. Look at what is excluded.pic.twitter.com/U9steKtweY

This month marks 5 years since
@apachekafka went#opensource. We'll be revisiting some classic#Kafka posts this all this week! -
Confession: I find myself using "trump-speak" instead of my normal fangirl talk. "Yuge", "fake" and "Sad!" instead of "Amaze" and "OMG" :(

We need
#kafkabuzz hashtag for those - Kafka talk titles worthy of Buzzfeed :Phttps://twitter.com/adropboxspace/status/823341124098015233 … -
Now waiting for my support team to submit a talk titled "17 times a Kafka configuration file made us LOL".
-
If you hate Buzzfeed, pick better publication. NY Times maybe? Point is, journalist craft titles to get interest, and so should you.
-
If you are trying to figure out what makes a good title. Maybe spend an hour on Buzzfeed - see what makes you "click".
-
Don't forget that title, abstract and bio should SELL. Sell the talk to the conference committee and to the audience. You want attendees.
-
Almost missed a great talk because the title was super generic, while the abstract indicates that the content is unique and awesome.
-
Pro-tip: If you submit an abstract to NYC conf and the use-case is Fraud Detection, put the words "Fraud Detection" in the title.
-
Trump may have the best words, but these Urban Dictionary submissions are pretty good too http://tnw.me/PSsfKmB pic.twitter.com/PmopuXiR9B

@gwenshap or humbled and amused at his own mistakes. Some of the best talks involve mistakes. -

@gwenshap The best abstracts sound so passionate. You can feel how the engineer is excited and proud of his brilliant architecture.
