    I’m as frustrated with San Francisco transportation as the next guy, but dividing MTA into 2 agencies won’t make transportation better & will reduce efficiency. Good transportation management means integrating public transit, street design, & parking/traffic, not separating them.

    The SFMTA needs to improve. Splitting it in two and creating more bureaucracy isn't the solution. Read the letter from , , & us here:

    Why haven't airlines automated the process of rebooking flights following cancellations and major delays? Needing to talk to a human in order to get a new itinerary confirmed is a huge pain for those flying and probably a big cost for the airlines.

    I’m not against single-family homes. What I *am* against is mandating extreme low density in areas w strong access to public transit. We need more density near transit. New housing & great neighborhoods aren’t mutually exclusive: they’re complementary.

    Whatever the merits of another bridge over Bay, a 2nd transbay rail crossing - for BART (think 24 hr service), connecting Caltrain/Capitol Corridor, high speed rail to East Bay/Sacramento - is higher priority. More public transit is what reduces traffic.
