    If the people overturn a democratic vote with another democratic vote then few can object. That's democracy after all. Sure the right-wingers will be angry, but they'll be angry whatever happens.

    Also a reminder that if elites are seen to overturn a democratic vote that all accepted at the time you run the serious risk of a rise in racism, fascism and a reenergised UKIP
