By default, WordPress shows your latest blog posts on the front page of your website. This tutorial describes how you can set a static page as front page instead.
Set a static page as front page
In case you want to set a static page as your front page, you can do so on your WordPress admin panel → Settings → Reading.
Please select ‘A static page (select below)’ first. Then choose a static page as Front Page. In case you still want to display your latest posts somewhere, you can select a ‘Posts page’ which will then display your posts.

You can find more information about the front page settings of WordPress on codex.wordpress.org/Creating_a_Static_Front_Page
