Infographic: PCOS Awareness Month (https://goo.gl/YcY9wM)
In addition to Ovarian Cancer Awareness, September is also Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) Awareness month.
According to the Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome Awareness Association, over 7 million women are affected by PCOS.
There isn't only one test to determine if you may have PCOS. Your OB will first perform a physical, including a pelvic exam. Blood work and an ultrasound complete the diagnosis.
Preventive care is the best way to find out if you have PCOS. If you haven't recently had an exam with your OB/GYN, we encourage you to schedule one today.
