Commencement Parking & Guest Information

Commencement ceremonies are held in the O’Rena, located at 569 Pioneer Drive, Rochester MI 48309 . Doors open to the public one hour prior to the start of the ceremony.
Upon arrival, graduates should check in at the registration table located on the lower level of the Recreation Center one hour prior to your ceremony. All other guests should enter through the Athletic Center doors.
Traveling to Campus
Please plan ahead and allow additional travel time as traffic volume will be heavy on commencement day.
From I-75
I-75 to Exit 79 (University Drive)
East about one mile to Squirrel Road
From Telegraph Road
Telegraph Road to Square Lake Road
To I-75 North
Exit 79 (University Drive)
East about one mile to Squirrel Road
From M-59 East (from Pontiac)
M-59 past Wide Track Drive
Stay in left lane, follow sign to University Drive
Turn right on University Drive
East about four miles to Squirrel Road
From M-59 West (from Rochester)
M-59 to Squirrel Road Exit
North on Squirrel Road about three miles

Parking & Accessibility
Free parking is available on a first come first served basis for commencement guests. Recommended lots include:
Vehicles must be parked in legal parking spots. Parking in fire lanes, spots restricted by signs, on end of rows, or on the grass is prohibited and may result in a citation.
Disability accessible parking is available in lot P16 . A valid disability placard must be displayed. Accessible entrances are available via the Athletic Center ramp or near the P17 parking lot.
Drop Off Point
Individuals traveling to campus by taxi or chauffeur service (Metro Cars, Uber, etc.) may be dropped off and picked up in the circle drive in front of the Athletics Center. Parking or stopping in the circle drive (other than to drop off or pick up passengers) is prohibited.
