Prior to joining POLITICO, she covered economics, fiscal policy, and business as both a reporter and editor for National Journal, Fast Company, and Newsweek. She also worked as an elections producer at NPR during the 2008 presidential campaign. She’s appeared on CNN, MSNBC, PBS’s NewsHour, C-Span, and various national radio programs to discuss her reporting and has taught journalism courses at Georgetown University and the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism. Originally from Connecticut, she graduated from Carleton College in Minnesota with a degree in English, as well as the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism.
