This article will give you a basic overview of the Design page.

Intro

Design is where you go to customize the look and feel of your site. We're going to go over the basics of how to navigate and use the Design page.

Let's begin!

Log in > Design

Log in to your Format account.

Click Design

Design

On the Left you can make changes to customize your site.

On the Right you can preview your changes before they are applied to your live site.

Let's look at the left side near the top...

The Top

At the top of the left side you have a few options:

• Under You are using you can see the name of theme you are currently using. If you are previewing a theme this will say 'You are previewing'
• Click Edit Code to add custom CSS to your site. (This is recommended only for advanced users.)
• Click Explore All Themes to try a different theme.

Desktop / Table / Mobile

Below we have the Desktop, Tablet and Mobile tabs.

Each tab gives you access to customizations for its respective platform.

Desktop is where you can adjust most of the fine details of your site.

Let's take a closer look at Desktop.

Sections

Desktop is organized into sections. For example: the General section.

Sections > Groups

Under each section are groups of settings.

In this example we have expanded the Website Logo group to view its settings...

Adjust Settings - Font

You can choose a Font...

(Click Browse Font Library for more fonts.)

Adjust Settings - Bold & Italic

You can bold or italicize your Logo Text.

Adjust Settings - Font Size

Choose a Font Size...

(Drag the slider or click the number to enter a value.)

Adjust Settings - Color

Choose a font Color...

(Click a color or enter a Hex#)

Preview

You can see your changes to settings previewed on the right.

Save Changes

When you are done adjusting your site click Save Changes.

Your changes are now visible on your live site!

(Note: Click Clear Changes to remove any changes since you last saved.)
