While we gather together to celebrate the Jewish Festival of Passover, we remember that throughout history the "Seder" – the festive meal that opens the Passover festival - has provided us with a sense of liberty, unity – family bonding, Jewish identity and hope for the future. Each year at our Seder tables, we open our Haggada (the traditional Jewish text that sets forth the order of the Passover Seder) and read: "All who are hungry come and eat; all who are needy come and celebrate Passover."

I feel very proud to have attended this program of Hindu New Year. Every community of people have New Year. Like the Christians celebrate 1st January the “New Year”, The Chinese celebrate their “Chinese New Year”, The Bengali’s celebrate the “Nobo-bors ho”, so as The Hindu’s are celebratin g the first day of the month “Choitro” as “Noboratri ” as New Year.
In this program the different issues of Hindu’s persecution was discussed. The sub continent’ s Hindu and obviously the Bangladesh i Bengali Hindus issue was also discussed. In this program Dr. Ajay Singh, former chairman national ball bhaban, ministry of HRD & Lokshava Palak of Banarasi constituen cy of Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, was present. Among others Mr. Arun Upaddhay, internatio nal president of Hindu struggle committee, Mr. Narendra Verma, CEO of Diamond publicatio n, an old and popular publicatio n of India, was also present at the program.
Dr. Ajay Singh in his speech mentioned about the Bengali Hindu’s persecution. He added that, after the division of country in 1947, the 40% of the people in Bangladesh was Hindu. He mentioned a report of “The Daily Jugantor” on 23rd October 2015 that, in a study we find that in 1974 there was only 14% and in 2011 only 8.4% of the people in Bangladesh was Hindu. Why so injustice with Bengali Hindu’s?
